Renovated in 2018, Apartment Belmira blends modern comforts with views of Lisbon’s historic city architecture, with air conditioning and understated, stylish décor throughout.

The spacious lounge features a large, comfortable sofa bed and designer-inspired chairs - ideal to unwind on in front of the television. A dining table for up to six people, with an optional high chair, sits adjacent to the superbly equipped, modern kitchen. The neutral décor of the office is complemented by a beautiful view from its window, just behind the bureau, offering a calm workspace option – along with free Wi-Fi – during your stay.

Along with balcony doors in the lounge and master bedroom, Apartment Belmira features stunning, large windows that flood the entire apartment with glorious natural light, with blackout blinds for privacy at night. If your stay falls during a cooler time of year, the apartment is equipped with a modern, electric heating system.
Just like the rest of the apartment, both bedrooms are furnished with maximum comfort in mind. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious double bed and wall-mounted television, with a bathtub in its en-suite bathroom. The twin bedroom, also equipped with a television, offers an equally delightful night’s sleep for a further two guests. With an additional single sofa bed available in the office, along with the two-person sofa bed in the lounge, this apartment comfortably sleeps up to seven adults, with a travel cot also available. In addition to the en-suite in the master bedroom, guests can choose from two other superb bathrooms, one with a half-sized bathtub. Apartment Belmira is ideally situated for short walks to the district’s attractions, with Lisbon’s excellent public transport network on your doorstep if you venture further across the city. After you take the elevator down from the first floor, you can head out to sample the gastronomic extravaganza that awaits at the nearby Time Out Market. Immerse yourself in traditional Lisbon city life, amongst the artisan shops, restaurants and markets of Chiado and Mercado da Ribiera, before becoming part of the dynamic nightlife of Bairro Alto and Pink Street.

Located right in the heart of the city, Apartment Belmira is within walking distance of all of Lisbon’s major attractions – with many more hidden gems to discover. An ideal base for those wanting to immerse themselves in any or all aspects of Lisbon city life, this modern apartment is less than a ten-minute walk from its namesake in the trendy, waterfront Cais do Sodre district - the extraordinary Time Out market.

Occupying half of the Mercado da Ribiera market hall, the traditional home of Lisbon’s fresh produce markets since the 1890s, the Time Out market hosts over forty restaurants, bars and shops. With options ranging from innovative dishes created by Portuguese Michelin starred chefs, to the most delicious street foods and local pastéis de nata, this showcase of Lisbon’s phenomenal cuisine is a must-visit during your stay.

Rich culture and adventure blend seamlessly during any visit to Lisbon, especially when exploring the city on its instantly recognisable, bright yellow trams.  Available to buy online ahead of your visit as a one, two or three-day pass, the Lisboa Card offers generous discounts on admission fees to most of Lisbon’s tourist attractions, along with unlimited travel on all public transport, including the Bica Funicular on Rua da Bica de Duarte Belo - Portugal’s most recognisable street. This five-minute tramway journey takes you from Cais do Sodre, to the upper district of Bairro Alto, gradually unveiling a majestic vista, with the traditional architecture beautifully framing the view down to the Tagus River.

The experience of a night out in Lisbon is truly unforgettable. Your evening begins amongst the independent restaurants and bars in Bairro Alto, with a myriad of unique eateries to choose from. After dinner, the eclectic mix of venues in this trendy district – along with the reasonably priced beer - will make bar hopping irresistible! Live music, pubs, jazz bars and clubs await, with all these bustling venues open until 2AM, when it’s time to follow the partying crowd downhill to Pink Street.

Although most Lisbon city streets look very similar, making it easy to become disoriented without some help from a map, Pink Street helpfully makes itself easily identifiable by day, with its bright pink road surface. Prices are a little more expensive than in Bairro Alto, but with a stunning variety of clubs open until 5AM, the extra few Euros are well worth your night out on what Time Out magazine calls “the coolest neighbourhood in Europe”.
