The villa is located in the closed and gated community of Chileno Bay, where you will feel extremely safe and can sample some fantastic food in the Auberge Resorts restaurants. Cielito del Mar makes a great base for exploring the area’s many unique attractions and is only a 15 minute drive from Cabo San Lucas and a 20 minute drive away from San José Del Cabo.

Cabo San Lucas, or Cabo, as it is more commonly known, is renowned for its white beaches, crystal blue waters and arching stone cliffs, making it the backdrop for Baja’s flourishing tourism industry. The activities to enjoy in this king of destinations are endless; jet skiing, banana boating, snorkeling and diving, kitesurfing, parasailing, and horseback riding can all be found simply by walking down the beach. The area is one of the best in the world for whale watching tours; the surrounding waters are a hotspot for breeding and are a migratory stop for humpback whales, so your chances of spotting one are incredibly high. The trips themselves are not for the faint hearted, the boats are small in order to ensure minimal disruption for the whales, so you will get wet! But it is an experience you will not want to miss if you are holidaying in Cabo.

The most famous beaches to visit in this area are Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach, with the former looking out into the bay and featuring beautifully calm waters that are perfect for swimming and trying out water sports. It is a good idea to get there early as it can get busy during the middle of the day. Divorce beach is situated on the other side of the island and although equally beautiful, has turbulent waves, making it popular with experienced surfers.

In Cabo you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat and drink. There are a plethora of bars and restaurants that line the beach and offer guests a beautiful view of the sunset while they dine. Mangos On The Beach is one of the most popular places to eat, known for its party-atmosphere and crazy vibe, or Omega Sports Bar next door, popular for its outside seating areas with sandy floors and its colourful cocktails. Here the cheery staff will hand out blankets as the sun sets and the air gets cooler, so you can continue on long into the night.

It's well worth a visit to  Land’s End and its Golden arch in particular, its position at the most southern point in Baja California make it one of the most important landmarks in the area. Worth seeing it up close and you might also come across some relaxing sea lions while you’re there,

Another excellent place to visit is San Jose Del Cabo, a picture-postcard perfect gem. This stunning little getaway, with its lagoons lined with majestic palm trees, secret courtyards and lazy days echo the days of the Old Baja. Make sure you visit the main square with its numerous shops, restaurants but also the church and government buildings. There is also a fantastic Ivan Guaderrama Art Gallery worth popping in due to its large collection of inspirational art pieces. For animal lovers, San Jose's Estuary and Bird Sanctuary is a perfect place to see some fantastic species and contribute to the livelihood of the place. Best time to visit is June, for the sea lions experience.
