Umbria has best of Italy to offer: rolling landscapes, wine, beautiful towns and villages, olive oil, expansive lakes and the food, glorious food. A holiday here can be as lazy, active, cultured and as delicious as you like.

This region is scattered with pretty, picturesque villages, while the area has a rich cultural heritage. From thermal pools to medieval cathedrals and olive oil museum, Umbria has an intriguing amount of history to discover.

Both Rome and Florence are accessible within a day trip, while the closest towns of interest would be Orvieto, the old town which is a fascinating series of winding streets, piazzas and a colourful weekly market.

History lovers will be spoilt - from the first century Roman amphitheatres to the twelfth-century duomos, to the fourteenth-century hilltop fortresses,  the glut of remnants from the medieval and Bronze Age that punctuate the region is impressive.

  • Amazing Villa!

  • A lovely time

    Posted by Clare on 30/07/2016

We have had a lovely time staying here at Villa Quilici, thank you.

  • Fabulous holiday

    Posted by Jay on 23/07/2016

We felt sad to leave but hopefully we'll get to come back soon. In terms of suggestions, as I said this isn't a long list as the house was very well equipped. The only things we thought might be useful (and these aren't deal breakers!) maybe a toaster and a new potato peeler for hungry Brits.
Also a visitor book in the house would be a great idea so that guests can share there experiences and suggestions? Anyway, these are just ideas and we had a fabulous holiday without them. Thanks again to you and Mario for looking after us so well and we look forward to our next stay with you in the future.

  • A very beautiful place

    Posted by Sarah on 16/07/2016

We have had a wonderful time and it is a very beautiful place. We have loved spending time there and have lots of special memories.

  • Wonderful!

    Posted by Natasha on 09/07/2016

Our feedback is that the house, garden and pool are wonderful. The size of the pool is especially good and the water is kept very clean. Thank you again for such a lovely villa! We hope we may return one day.

  • An excellent stay...

Posted by Tom & Iona on 02/07/2016

Thank you for an excellent stay. The house has been great, and the pool is lovely. I would recommend you take some summer pictures for the Oliver's Travels web page, because the winter pictures don't show the house, the pool and the location off as well as they could. Likewise, the web page would be better with a few more interior pictures and a picture of the table outside the door - a great place for lunch.

  • Excellent Villa Vacay
