The impeccably designed apartment is located inside a 16th-century building and faces out towards the famous Pitti Palace.
Frescoed interiors and luxury furnishings in the form of velvety fabrics, art deco accessories, and wall sconces make it feel like stepping back in time. Spread over the first floor, this elegant home has four double suites designed with brilliant attention to detail – whether it’s the azure blue bed linen, sleek headboards, or worldly curiosities on the walls. Equally delightful, each bathroom uses distinctive hand-carved Italian marble and ambient LED lights to make you feel like royalty as you unwind in a bubble bath.
Although you’ll be spoiled for choice with so many food options just outside your front door, you’ll also love cooking homemade meals in the state-of-the-art kitchen and eating with family by the large dining table. Alternatively, have your dinner outside on the romantic balcony surrounded only by flickering candles and the palace’s street lamps – during the day, this sun-kissed spot offers postcard-worthy views.

As soon as you step outside the front door, you’ll be immersed in the city’s whimsical character. Explore its narrow, historic lanes overflowing with trendy boutiques and terraced cafés before crossing the romantic Ponte Vecchio bridge. Many chic restaurants serving traditional Italian cuisine are virtually on your doorstep, so you can just head out whenever you feel hungry. With a vibrant restaurant scene, lively street markets and delectable wine and aperitifs, you won’t need to go anywhere else.
In the summer months, escape the city heat by making towards the coast. Just over an hour’s drive away, Livorno is a port city with a modern harbour featuring a cruise ship port, as well as ancient fortifications. Here you can also find many popular beaches such as Antignano, Quercianella and Vada di Rosignano Marittimo where you can cool off and catch ample sun rays.
The Tuscan hills are also close enough to enjoy a splendid day out. Visit idyllic hilltop villages and historic towns such as San Gimignano and San Miniato or enjoy wine and food-tasting in local vineyards beneath gnarly olive groves.
In just 90 minutes by car or train, you can reach Pisa with its one-of-a-kind leaning tower, historic churches, grand palaces and many museums worth ticking off your bucket list.

About the surrounding area of Pitti Palace ViewSuch a fantastic location in the very heart of Florence makes Pitti Palace View simply the perfect spot for exploring the amorous city and its picturesque streets, frescoed churches and enchanting corners. The grandiose Pitti Palace is home to several museums as well as the Boboli Gardens which are ideal for a picnic or a wholesome stroll. The city is bursting at its seams with Renaissance buildings and breathtaking architecture, but the landmarks you really shouldn’t miss are the Ponte Vecchio bridge, Basilica of Santa Croce, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery and the 13th-century Cathedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore, Il Duomo with its the Giotto bell tower.
Don’t forget to stop by one of its bustling markets showcasing some of the best Tuscan produce or join a tour to see the most authentic spots. End your day with a bowl of pasta or a pizza, accompanied by a large glass of Aperol Spritz in one of the many terraced bars spilling onto the pavement. Alternatively, the closest supermarket is within a walking distance of the apartment.
The city of Livorno is just over an hour’s drive away and is well known for its seafood which you can enjoy in one of the many restaurants located near its modern harbour. Its central Terrazza Mascagni, a waterside promenade with checkerboard paving is the city’s main gathering place and is a fantastic site for people-watching. Be sure to also check out the 16th-century Fortezza Vecchia, which opens onto Livorno’s canal-laced Venezia Nuova quarter – a local neighbourhood with a Venetian quarter.
The Tuscan coastline is rugged and vibrant, from Antignano down to Rosignano and pebbles and from Rosignano to Riotorto. Most towns along the coast offer boardwalks with bars, gelaterias and restaurants to make your holiday experience as comfortable as can be, so all you need is to pack your beach essentials and roll on summer.
Exploring the surrounding countryside is also a great idea to spend the day. Full of cypress trees, vineyards and charming medieval villages, the valleys that make up the Tuscan hills contain unique treasures. Notably Chianti is known for the finest red wines in the world and Val d’Orca has a UNESCO-listed countryside that inspired Renaissance painters from around the world.

Older children and art-enthusiasts will enjoy learning more about the famous Leonardo Da Vinci in the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, where you can discover a plethora of military and flying projects designed by the genius of the Renaissance, some of which were found in his famous Leonardo's Codex. The Museum of Natural History houses ancient remains and fossils that are also sure to fascinate inquisitive minds.
Every visit to the museum ends with a treat and luckily Florence is filled with gelaterias, pizzerias and pretty squares where you sample such delights. Visit Piazza della Republica and let little ones ride on the antique carousel before moving to your next stop. After filling up your basket with delicious fresh produce from a market or street-food vendor, enjoy a picnic in the Pitti Palace’s Boboli Gardens. Full of winding paths and fragrant gardens, it’s the ideal place for letting children run around.
A great option for a day trip is taking the train to Tuscany’s vibrant coast and visiting cities like Livorno. Here you can spend an entire day strolling around the tiled promenade and exploring nearby beaches.
