Located in a stunning nature park, there are lots of hiking routes for keen walkers in the surrounding hilly landscapes.

Alternatively, just head to one of the nearby beaches, where little ones can make sand castles while older children snorkel in the clear blue waters, spotting the various colourful fishes. Cefalù is especially geared up for children with some lovely family restaurants as well as its glorious beach and there are quieter spots near Sant’Ambrogio and Salinelle.

Visit Acqua Verde one of the best waterparks in Sicily. Splash parks with little slides and fountains are ideal for younger children, while older kids can swim in the wave pool. There are a variety of rides the youngsters can have a go on; from swirly slides to the fish bowl, which drops visitors down a large hole! There are lots of sunbeds and parasols where you can relax with a drink while the kids go off and play.
