Overview
Just a stone’s throw away from Puglia’s beaches and sleepy hilltop villages, Villa Le Vigne is perfectly placed for a holiday getting to know the South of Italy. Located amidst ancient olive groves and rolling farmland, you can enjoy the calming sounds of nature as you unwind in the garden and yet you do not have to travel far to find a restaurant for a delicious evening meal.
Villa Le Vigne can sleep eight guests in comfortable surroundings. The property is actually made up of two separate buildings; the villa is a contemporary dwelling with an open-plan living and dining space, a fully-fitted kitchen and two bedrooms. Just a few paces away is the trullo; this type of white-washed, cone shaped building is found only in this region and has sat on this land for centuries. Once used as an agricultural building, the trullo has been carefully restored and is now a welcoming home away from home which can sleep 4 guests. The trullo offers a kitchenette and dining area plus two bedrooms.
Both of the dwellings are bright and spacious and have views over the gorgeous garden. You will have everything you need on hand whichever building you stay in as there is Wi-Fi and air conditioning throughout plus TVs and modern kitchens and bathrooms.
Outdoors, the expansive garden is shared between both homes. This layout ensures privacy for two groups or families travelling together and when you wish to gather together you will find lots of outdoor entertaining space. In the grounds there are a few different covered dining tables so you can fire up the wood burning pizza oven for a fun-filled evening of pizza making as a group. There are also outdoor sofas and little nooks for unwinding with a good book. One of the best features of the oasis-like garden, is of course the inviting swimming pool which is ideal for a refreshing afternoon dip.
Near to the villa you will find plenty of things to see and do. The closest town is Carovigno which is 6km away and has all of the shops and restaurants you could need within easy reach. You could also visit the stunning city of Ostuni which is known as the white city due to its white-washed buildings, Ostuni is a must-visit location and is just 13km away by car.
As well as towns, cities and beautiful Trulli towns such as Alberobello (58km away) which you can explore, there are a range of sandy beaches around 6km away. Whether you wish to swim at a serene, protected cove within a nature reserve or relax at a luxurious, serviced beach club, you can find a great choice of beaches close by.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa Le VignePuglia has always been a crossroads where traders, conquerors and settlers from around the Mediterranean have left their mark. This confluence of cultures has led to Puglia having a unique and varied character with fascinating historical sites to see, delicious local cuisine and beautiful architecture which cannot be seen elsewhere in Italy.
Villa Le Vigne is set in a wonderful location; while staying here you will be able to unwind, surrounded by olive groves and farmland and enjoy views of the sea beyond. Though set within a rural landscape, the villa is a mere 6km from Puglia’s sweeping coastline and 6km away from the nearest lively town.
If you would like to spend the day at a sandy beach, you do not have to travel far to find a fantastic range. Torre Guaceto Nature Reserve is set within a protected marine and is just 9km away by car. The reserve is a lovely place to spend the day walking or hiking over the sand dunes, around the wetlands and down the rugged coastline. You are also able to set off from here on a boat trip along the coast to the famous town of Polignano a Mare. From the sea you can take in the best views of the coast and the town of Polignano a Mare as well as visiting magical caves along the way. Another brilliant beach is Torre Santa Sabina Beach which is 11km away. This sandy beach is a great place to go snorkelling in the calm waters by the historic watch tower which was built in the 12th century by the Knights Templar. With a range of restaurants backing on to the beach, you are able to go out for dinner here before driving back home.
The closest town to Villa Le Vigne is Carovigno which is 6km away. Carovigno has a vast array of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops so you can do your grocery shopping, buy gifts for friends back home or enjoy dinner out in the evening here. The town is also packed with historic sites and cultural attractions as Carovigno was first settled by pre-Roman tribes. While in town you can explore the winding historic streets, visiting ancient churches and the imposing castle. Castello Dentice di Frasso was built in 1163 and changed hands many times over the centuries. Today guests can explore the castle which is free to visit and take in the amazing views as far as the city of Ostuni. Another key attraction is the Santuario della Madonna del Belvedere which is an ornate cave church dedicated to Madonna del Belvedere. The Madonna is also honoured in elaborate flag waving processions and parties held yearly near Easter, this tradition has been practiced for 1000 years and is a wonderful thing to see.
If you would like to see a different side of Puglia then why not pay a visit to the port city of Brindisi which is 31km away. Brindisi is not a large city, so is easy to walk around at a slow pace as you take in the sights and stop off for drinks as you explore. Brindisi was originally a Roman settlement and you will be able to see monuments here such as the Roman stairs and the large column. The town also has a wealth of beautiful churches including the Medieval Church of San Giovanni which is filled with amazing frescoes and the enchanting Romanesque cathedral. The city is a great place to stroll around and do a spot of shopping, you could then walk down to the palm-tree lined port for dinner as you watch the boats come in for the evening.
