Live la dolce vita when you vacation in the elegant sea view Dimora de Auria, set in the Cinque Port of Porto Venere on the northwest coast of Italy. This beautiful property comprises three distinct parts, each with its entrances: a three-storey detached house, an independent annexe, and a studio-style apartment. The six hundred square meter property is set in its own meticulously maintained grounds and botanical gardens, with gated access to the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

There are nine spacious bedrooms, which can comfortably accommodate up to sixteen guests in some style. Dimora de Auria would be ideal for a fabulous family celebration or a group of friends get-together. The exterior columned house is most impressive, whilst the interiors are exquisite, cleverly combining classic painted ceilings and chandeliered rooms, furnished with traditional pieces and original antiques, with ultra-modern luxury bathrooms and contemporary kitchens.

Starting with the main house, enter your holiday home through the breathtakingly beautiful marble reception hall, from which all rooms lead off. The painted ceiling sitting room is charmingly furnished with comfy sofas, armchairs, and book-lined shelves. With a second sea view, the sitting room has a similar built-in bookcase, which is home to a flat-screen television. The white and granite kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary appliances to cater to your holiday, including that must-have morning coffee maker. The adjacent painted-ceiling dining room is perfect for some splendid indoor entertaining. Take the sweeping staircase to the first floor, where you will find two sea-view double bedrooms with queen-sized beds and one single bed. There are two stunning bathrooms, one with a bathtub, a walk-in shower, a vanity unit, and a WC, and the other with a shower, a hand basin, and a WC. On the second floor, there are two more sea-view double bedrooms with queen-size beds, one with an ensuite bathroom and the other with an ensuite shower room. A handy laundry room completes the main house.

Take the path through the garden to the two-storey Dependence. This delightful property has an open plan living space, decked out in marine navy and white, with a sofa, chairs, coffee table and TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a six-seater dining set on the ground floor. On the first floor is a double bedroom with a queen-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a double bedroom with twin beds and an ensuite shower room. The independent ground-floor Apartment has a sea-view double bedroom with a queen-sized bed and an ensuite shower room.

Step out in the five thousand square metres of gorgeous grounds, surrounded by a walled Mediterranean garden, manicured lawns, a gate to the seafront promenade, and a sea view terrace furnished with a dining set for alfresco feasting.

The elegant waterfront Dimora de Auria is perfectly positioned in the picturesque town of Porto Venere, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the northwest coast of Italy. The house is in the sought-after UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Cinque Terre, enveloped by beautiful botanical gardens and the Ligurian coast. The nearest international airport is eighty kilometres southeast of Pisa, or one hundred and forty kilometres northeast of Genoa. 

The charming town of Porto Venere is a short walk away. Here, you will find stores for provisions for your stay and welcoming cafes, bars, and restaurants serving delicious Ligurian dishes. While you eat there, visit the historic church of St Peter and Doria Castle. 

You can board a boat from outside the house to the island of Palmaria, where you can swim and sunbathe. Further afield, the coastal towns of Lerici, Tellaro, and San Terenzo all have sandy beaches with a selection of water sports. You can also tee off at one of the Ligurian golf courses or play tennis on a local court. 

Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Cinque Terre villages, each with its unique charm, and hike or take a boat to see the colourful coastal towns. Spend the day in La Spezia, shop in the market, and visit the Naval Museum and Castle of San Giorgio before enjoying the local cuisine at a waterfront restaurant. Tour the local vineyard, renowned for the excellent Vermentino white wines.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €1000 charged to client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 4 p.m to 8 p.m. Late check-in at extra cost, payable locally.
Departure time 10 a.m.
Energy costs included? Yes.
Heating costs included? At extra cost payable locally from the 1st of April to the 1st November. Other period on request.
End of stay cleaning included? No, €900 for 16 Pax(Villa+Dependance+Apartment), €600 for 10 Pax(Dependance+apartment), €300 for 6pax(Apartment),all payable locally in cash. This is for a standard changeover clean. Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Linen & towels included? Yes.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. If accepted, a pet supplement of €100 per pet(max 1 pet allowed) will apply (payable locally)
Changeover day Saturday in July and August. Flexible during other period.
Minimum stay 3 nights during all year.
