Though the home and garden offer peace and tranquillity, the villa is set just a short stroll away from the beaches, bars and restaurants of the town centre, so you are right in the heart of the action while staying here.
You may be surprised to hear that this spacious, contemporary home is actually set within a 15th century building which has been part of this cliff top landscape for hundreds of years. The home has recently undergone a vast programme of renovations and while the charm and noble feel of the villa has been retained, the interiors are now modern and chic with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Villa Pantaleone is carefully decorated, with a calming colour palette and high-end furnishings throughout. The blues and whites of the sea are mirrored in the sofas, soft furnishings and tiling, while each bedroom has its own accent colour. In addition to the décor, the home also offers fantastic facilities such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a BOSE system and curved Smart TVs.
The home has plenty of space to accommodate up to 8 guests across 4 welcoming bedrooms which all have en-suite bathrooms. You and your party can all gather together in the large living space which has a cosy sitting area and a cinema space with a large TV and comfy corner seating. The well-equipped kitchen has all you require for preparing meals and snacks, or maybe you would prefer to hire a private chef, so you can simply unwind and let go of the stresses of day-to-day life.
Though the house is located in the centre of town and just a short stroll from the beach, you will be thrilled to hear that there is a garden here. The tiered garden is made up of a number of terraces with outdoor living spaces, dining nooks and an infinity pool with incredible sea views.
From the home you can head down a set of stairs and take a lift, after this short journey you will find yourself in the middle of Amalfi’s busy and beautiful streets. Packed with shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, you could not wish for a better location than Amalfi. In addition to a brilliant array of amenities, you also have the town’s famous cathedral, museums and some wonderful sandy beaches to visit, which are lined with exclusive beach clubs and sun loungers.
If you would like to explore more of the Amalfi coast, the town is also the perfect base for taking boat trips to Ischia, Capri, Positano and Naples or driving to other places such as Ravello or even Pompei’s ancient ruins.
Whether you are planning an indulgent escape with an itinerary filled with fine dining and lazy days at the beach, or you would prefer hiking, snorkeling and boat rides, there is something for everyone on the Amalfi Coast.
What you should know…
- If you are happy to spend your holiday solely in Amalfi or use public transport to visit other areas, you will not require a car. If you would prefer to drive to other towns such as Positano, we recommend you bring a car, there is a car park close by, though no parking at the villa due to the central location.
- Please note that if you bring a car with you, this can be parked in a nearby featured parking.
- In order to reach the villa from Amalfi’s centre, you will need to take a lift and a set of stairs. Those with mobility issues should be aware of this, as well as families with babies.

About the surrounding area of Villa PantaleoneSet just a stone’s throw away from the centre of Amalfi; the most famous and picturesque town on Italy’s Amalfi Coast, you will find Villa Pantaleone. Offering four bedrooms, vast living areas and a gorgeous garden with sea views, this is an amazing home for those wishing to stay right in the beating heart of the town.
Amalfi is one of Italy’s most iconic towns, where pastel-toned historic buildings line the narrow, winding alley ways and lively piazzas. A great place to start your amble around the town is the Piazza Duomo, the atmospheric square outside of the incredible Norman-Arab Cathedral. From here you can stroll around the pretty lanes, shopping for souvenirs and sipping coffee in street-side cafes. The town is set on a cliffside, so as you wander around you will head up several slopes and sets of stairs and as you travel higher in to the town, you will experience even more breathtaking views of the sea and the town below.
You will never run out of things to do in Amalfi, from visiting the museums and historic churches, to spending long relaxed days on the town’s sandy beaches. There are even hiking routes available to those looking for something a little more active, these include the The Path of the Gods and the Path of Lemons, both are brilliant trails with staggering views. If you have a car with you, you are also able to visit a local citrus grove or vineyard.
In addition to the fantastic amenities and attractions in Amalfi, there are many more villages and towns you can visit nearby, as well as countless idyllic beaches. One town you can visit close by, is Ravello that sits 365m above sea level, looking out over the surrounding mountains and the sea. As it is set in a dramatic cliffside location, Ravello avoids some of the crowds which fill Amalfi and Positano in the summer months. If you would like a day away from bustling Amalfi, Ravello is a hidden gem with amazing landscaped gardens which overlook the sea and palatial villas such as Villa Rufolo for you to discover. While here you can also see Roman ruins, museums and ancient churches. Ravello has always been a magnet for writers and musicians, D.H Lawrence and Virginia Woolf were both inspired by the beauty of this breathtaking place for example and even today, the town is famous for its summer music festival.
Close to the villa in Amalfi, you can also board boats to other wonderful locations such as the town of Positano and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Another amazing day trip to take is a visit to the ancient ruins at Pompei which are 35km away by car.

As Villa Pantaleone is right in the centre of town, you will not need to travel far to find shops, pizzerias and a number of museums. There are also beaches within walking distance, so there is plenty to keep little ones entertained.
When you wish to head out on a day trip, the best way to explore with adventure-seeking children is to go out on a boat trip. Whether you take a ferry down the coast line to other towns such as Positano, or take a full day trip to the island of Capri and the Blue Grotto, you will be sure of a magical day.
