The villa boasts three heavenly double bedroom suites, exquisite open plan living space, boutique styling, trendy furnishings, glorious views and fantastic outdoor space. It is a fabulous choice for a family or a group of friends wanting to relax, explore this fabulous island and enjoy everything that Mykonos offers.
The dazzling island of Mykonos is profoundly beautiful, sprinkled with sugar-cube white buildings accentuated with vibrant blue doors and shutters and picturesque windmills. This magical island boasts an interesting history and wonderful cultural experiences, a lavish array of label laden boutiques, stunning sandy beaches and a fabulous dining scene. The longest of Mykonos’ beaches, mesmerising Elia Beach boasts never-ending fine white sand, crystal clear turquoise water, luxurious sun loungers, thatch umbrellas, a fantastic selection of watersports and a good supply of beach bars. It is a haven where raw Mediterranean beauty meets luxury amenities and refined services, exuding a sense of serenity and relaxation. You can soak up the sun, enjoy delicious signature cocktails, waterski, parasail or windsurf and catch up with the latest trends along with mesmerising views. Elia is within easy reach of the island’s buzzy capital and the last stop on the taxi fishing boats that take guests along the south coast so it is a lot quieter than Paradise, Super Paradise and the other party beaches.
Along with its sister villas, Villa Lorcan has been brilliantly designed to integrate naturally into its surroundings. Built with warm, honey-coloured stone, plenty of glass, trendy steel pergolas and a splash of dazzling white render, the architecture is super cool and very sleek. The interiors of the villa are blessed with lashings of natural light and extraordinary views.
Villa Lorcan’s living space is open plan in design. The interior designers have worked wonders so the villa comes with a very sumptuous contemporary sofa and armchair, a trendy beanbag and lots of wooden design features. The coffee table, dining table and side tables are all fabulous. Handpicked artworks and accessories complete this stunning contemporary picture. The kitchen is gorgeous with handleless wooden cabinets and black worktops and splashbacks. There is a central island making this a very sociable space.
One of the bedrooms sits on the ground floor with a fabulous feature wall, striking contemporary art and access to the pool terrace. The upper bedrooms enjoy beautifully dressed beds and access to a terrace with panoramic views. Like the living spaces, the bedroom suites are designed for the most discerning of guests. They are sleek, stylish havens with quality furnishings, trendy accessories and the crispest of cottons. Each bedroom enjoys a stylish en suite bathroom with top-of-the-range fittings and fluffy towels. You will feel as though you are staying in a plush, contemporary boutique hotel.
The outdoor space is gorgeous too. You will discover a luxury day bed where you can chill with your holiday book and a beautiful dining set with a handcrafted wooden table, perfect for alfresco dining. The trendy pergolas offer some welcome shade and the pool is just perfect for a cooling dip.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa LorcanVilla Lorcan enjoys a wonderful location just above Mykonos’ famous Elia Beach. Within minutes you can be relaxing on a luxury lounger on the beach, trying your hand at a new watersport or ordering a cocktail. Elia is Mykonos’ longest beach and is highly popular with families, nudists and the gay community. It is highly organised with loungers, umbrellas, beach bars and watersports. There is a lovely view up the hill of the traditional Cycladic houses. Elia is a peaceful beach, much quieter than Paradise and Super Paradise beaches just along the coast. It is part of this long chain of beaches which also includes the lovely Agrari Beach.
Mykonos certainly adds a touch of glamour to the Greek Islands. This fabulous island is not only brimming with gorgeous white sandy beaches, most offering buzzy beach bars and watersports, but also boasts a long list of jet-set nightclubs, a wonderful array of fine dining restaurants, vibrant cocktail bars, classy boutiques and charming whitewashed villages. It is little wonder that Mykonos is a celeb mecca akin to Ibiza and Miami.
Mykonos Town, roughly 11km from the villa, boasts an enchanting warren of spidery, narrow lanes covered in bougainvillea. Lavished with picturesque churches, quirky art galleries, chic boutiques, jewellery shops and charming restaurants, visitors love an afternoon meander. The town’s museums, the Archaeological Museum and the Aegean Maritime Museum are worth a stop. The ethereal beauty of Little Venice is a favourite haunt of highly acclaimed artists and Instagram followers. It is one of the most romantic places on the island with elegant old houses sitting on the edge of the sea creating a magical aura and an abundance of buzzy bars.
The picturesque village of Ano Mera sits in the heart of the island and is definitely worth a visit. With classical Cycladic beauty, it offers quaint, scenic, narrow streets, traditional tavernas, unique shops and its famous monastery of Panagia Tourliani. The monastery was built in the 15th century and is one of the main attractions of the whole island. Ano Mera’s main square is pedestrianised and surrounded by charming cafes and tavernas that are renowned for their excellent Mykonian meats cooked on the spit and barbecue. You will also discover the ‘Kopanisti’ workshop where the local delicious spicy cheese is made.
The island’s beaches range from wide sandy stretches covered with top-of-the-range loungers and parasols and offering watersports and lively beach bars to quieter coves. Elia, Ornos, Psarou, Paraga, Paradise, Kalafatis and Plati Gialos are all firm favourites. Ornos Beach is one of Mykonos’ trendiest beaches offering many places to eat and is a frequent stop for many boats and yachts. Paradise Beach and Super Paradise Beaches are the home of some of the island’s most famous nightclubs. Kalo Livadi Beach is set in a valley sprinkled with sugar cubed homes. It comes with a stunning long ribbon of sand, sun loungers and straw umbrellas and some excellent watersports.
Tourlos is located on the north side of the island, just 2.5km from Mykonos Town and close to the villa. It enjoys a magnificent port, a stop for many cruise ships, and a smart harbour. The houses are freshly painted with colourful shutters and draped in vibrant bougainvillea and other pretty flowers. Many celebrities have chosen to build luxury villas here. The Chapel of St George Spilianos, north of the harbour, is delightful. It is built into the cavity of a rock with a lovely ambience and where you can light a candle. Tourlos boasts a magical, organised beach with watersports.
As well as being a party lover and boutique shoppers' paradise, Mykonos is a whitewashed, Grecian gem with lush hillsides waiting to be explored. The Panagia Tourlaina and Paleokastro Monasteries are centuries old buildings worth a visit if you can bring yourselves to leave the serenity of Villa Lorcan.

It is only two minutes from Elia Beach where you will find watersports galore, plenty of loungers and umbrellas and beach bars. The flag at the end of the beach is for nudists and the gay community. Agrari Beach is ideal for children who enjoy the small playground as well as the crystal clear water. Ornos Beach boasts a fabulous family-friendly sandy cove with many watersports. Other family-friendly, popular beaches are Kalafatis and Platys Gialos.
Mykonos Town is such fun for a day trip. The Folklore Museum shows you how people used to live, work and dress in the 19th century in Mykonos. The Archaeological Museum has a fascinating collection of jewellery, figurines, statues and pottery and the Aegean Maritime Museum is home to many ancient nautical instruments and vessels. Children love buying a few souvenirs from the shops. Mykonos Town has the densest concentration of dining options with anything from upmarket fusion to authentic Italian pasta, a favourite with children to traditional Greek tavernas and ice cream parlours.
There are many boat trips from the harbours and water taxis. You can take water taxis from the beaches or take a boat trip from Mykonos Town’s harbour to explore the coastline or snorkel. The sacred island of Delos is high on the list for day trips for families. Delos is the birthplace of the mythological twins of Zeus and Leto, Apollo and Artemis. Another possibility is to take a family cooking lesson creating some traditional Greek dishes. With the local chef, your children will leave more about life on Mykonos, its history, its people and its delicious fresh food.
The windmills of Mykonos are positioned in the western part of the island serving as a remembrance of the island’s wheat and bread industry. They are a great place for photographs and are especially popular at sunset.
