Overview

Pool Villa/House Modern Self-Catered Ideal for Kids Walk to Beach Parking Space

The stunning Villa Fotis was built using beautiful honey-coloured stone in 2011 with unique design and making the most of the stunning, private location overlooking the beautiful Elia Beach. A private path leads directly to the beach. The plot is enormous at 2200 sqm, providing many terraces to enjoy the breathtaking views. The lagoon-like infinity swimming pool is very special. In total, Villa Fotis boasts 4 stunning bedrooms, 3 of which are located in the main villa and the last in a 40 sqm guest suite. It sleeps up to 10 guests in supreme comfort and offers perfect entertainment space inside and out.

Elia Beach is fabulous, on the south coast of Mykonos and boasts shimmering silvery-white sand, crystal-clear water, sun loungers and parasols, watersports and excellent cafes. It is both family and LGBT friendly. Mykonos Island is Greece’s answer to Ibiza. The island does not sleep. DJ’s arrive to the joy of party revellers though there is also another side to this beautiful island. It is picturesque with stunning beaches, glorious sunsets, pretty whitewashed villages, hundreds of chapels and churches, fabulous windmills and a lush interior.

Villa Fotis offers tranquillity and total privacy in attractive, relaxing surroundings. With an elegant mixture of Mykonian and provincial beach house elements, it makes you smile and feel immediately at home. Curved walls are everywhere, in the showers, in seating arrangements and shelving arrangements. Even the stairs are curved! The colours contrast brilliantly, stark-white walls, plenty of driftwood, the fabulous, brilliant red kitchen appliances and artwork, honey-coloured stone and the dazzling blue of the sky and sea. The seaside theme runs throughout the villa creating a warm and welcoming ambience.

The ground floor of the villa is open plan with a fantastic, comfortable living space, excellent dining and a modern and cheery kitchen. The stunning artwork and accessories bring the whole room together. There is also a shower room downstairs. The first floor is home to the fabulous master bedroom with its ensuite shower room and two double bedrooms which share an immaculate, charming bathroom. Guests are provided with wonderful spa toiletries as well as slippers.

The covered alfresco dining area beyond the living area is beautiful and faces the wonderful pool. The built-in barbecue is huge and perfect for delicious suppers in these stunning surroundings. The lagoon-style pool is lovely and adds an even more tranquil feature to the outdoor atmosphere. The garden is very pretty with well-placed planting. Traditional, soothing curves continue outside with built-in seating arrangements decked with colourful cushions. Deluxe sun loungers surround the pool and are also placed on the various terraces. There is even a small bar built into the wonderful stone walls.

The separate guest house is really cute and inviting with two double beds, a wonderful ensuite bathroom and immediate access to the terrace. This would be ideal for a small family. Whether you want sun or shade, you can always find a peaceful, pretty corner in this stunning villa!

Villa Fotis was built in a vast, totally private plot overlooking the stunning azure waters of Mykonos towards the nearby islands of Naxos, Paros and Antiparos, a 5-minute walk down a private path to the beautiful Elia Beach. Elia is a family-friendly long stretch of silver sand offering watersports and beach dining. It is very popular. Close by are the lovely beaches of Kalo Livadi, Kalafatis and Agrari. Agrari is the next-door beach to Elia. It is peaceful and popular with the locals as well as tourists. Kalafatis offers many watersports as well as a windsurfing school. Windsurfers and kitesurfers who adore the thrill of the wind are drawn to the beaches on the north of the island.

Mykonos Town is upmarket, very attractive and boasts chic cocktail bars, swanky restaurants, designer boutiques and jewellery shops. There are also whitewashed gems such as the gorgeous, unique and special Paraportiani Church which is featured widely on postcards. The bougainvillaea-draped Matogliani Street is famous for designer shopping, including many Greek designers. Little Venice is right on the sea edge and is very popular for sun-downers. You will get some amazing photographs here as the sun goes down. The cocktails and champagne are not too bad either! Just above Little Venice are the famous windmills that also adorn the postcards of Mykonos.

The picturesque Ano Mera village is a very short drive from the villa. The wonderful, restored Panagia Tourlaina Monastery houses holy icons and paintings and features a marble bell tower with intricate folk carvings, dating back from the 18th century. One kilometre southeast is the 12th-century Monastery of Paleokastro so you could visit both on the same day. It is situated in one of the greenest spots on the island. Ano Mera has a traditional, warm atmosphere and has a fresh produce market on the main square selling excellent local cheeses. It it the island’s place of choice for Sunday brunch. The cobbled, narrow streets are very pretty, and the whitewashed buildings have splashes of vibrant colours. Get your camera ready!

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

Children will adore their holiday at Villa Fotis. There is so much space and the villa is extremely comfortable. The lagoon-style pool is very pleasing and provides easy access for even the smallest members of the family. The private path to the lovely Elia Beach is also convenient to avoid driving there. The beach boasts many watersports, sun loungers, parasols and cafes. You can also catch a water taxi to visit the other beaches on the south coast. Kalo Livadi Beach offers shimmering, crystal-clear water and an amazing view of the Aegean archipelago. Agrari Beach is ideal for children who enjoy the small playground as well as the crystal clear water. Other family-friendly, popular beaches are Kalafatis, Platys Gialos and Ornos which is close to Mykonos Town.

Mykonos Town is very welcoming to families. You will see children up pretty late into the evening.  The Folklore Museum shows you how people used to live, work and dress in the 19th century in Mykonos. The Archaeological Museum has a fascinating collection of jewellery, figurines, statues and pottery and the Aegean Maritime Museum is home to many ancient nautical instruments and vessels. There are many shops for souvenirs as well as designer goods. Mykonos Town has the densest concentration of dining options with anything from upmarket fusion to authentic Italian pasta, a favourite with children, traditional Greek tavernas and plenty of ice cream.

Children always love to get out onto the water. You can take the water taxis from the beaches or take a boat trip from Mykonos Town’s harbour. The sacred island of Delos is high on the list for day trips. You can explore the uninhabited island, one of the most important and well-preserved archaeological sites in Greece. Snorkelling trips are also great fun.
