Raspberry Villa is a three-bedroom haven, nestled in a peaceful spot in Sithonia, part of the Halkidiki peninsula in northeast Greece. With rustic stone walls, the villa blends effortlessly into its natural surroundings and is bordered by tall trees and shrubs for privacy and tranquillity. With almost one hundred beaches (yes, you heard right) in the area – most of them having perfect white sand and some of the clearest waters – Sithonia is a destination you’ll want to keep on your bucket list.
The villa has all the holiday luxuries you’d expect for a comfortable home-from-home stay, and some more; a private outdoor swimming pool, terrace dotted with cushioned sun loungers and a shaded pergola for undercover relaxation – and all you have to do is lay or sit in the midst of them. Sink into the outdoor corner seating and share stories about your exciting explorations of the beautiful local area or dine al fresco at night with candles and lights setting the scene for a romantic evening.
Inside the villa, the décor elegantly combines the contemporary and traditional with a modern fully-equipped kitchen and an authentic stone-built fireplace. Walls are generally natural or pale blue with pops of extra colour added in the homely artwork and dark wood furniture. All the bedrooms are equally spacious and have thoughtful touches like air conditioning for a comfortable stay. There’s also a living room with sofas and a plasma television for those relaxed evenings indoors.
The villa is in a quiet area; however it’s only a short walk from the nearest beach with soft sands and calm, sheltered waters that are ideal for swimming and snorkelling, and is close to amenities including shops and restaurants. Foodies will love the fresh sеаfoоd in many of the classic Greek tavernas, while spectacular walking, hiking and mountain biking routes are ideal for nature fiends.

- This villa is perfect for cat lovers - like in many other Greek areas, there is many cats wandering around the villa's vicinities
- The stairs can be a bit steep, so this villa is more suitable for older children

About the surrounding area of Raspberry VillaRaspberry villa is in Sithonia, part of the Halkidiki peninsula in scenic northeast Greece. With stunning natural scenery and no crowds, it’s an ideal place to rest your furrowed brow. The region is renowned for its serene sandy beaches, fresh local cuisine and fantastic mountainous terrain.
For outdoor adventuring, there are plenty of beautiful walking, hiking and mountain biking routes. You can head to Mount Itamos, the highest peak on Sithonia for panoramic views over the peninsula and a fantastic bird’s eye view of Mount Athos to the east and Mount Olympus in the west. The peninsula is covered with olive groves and pine trees and looks out to the sparkling Aegean Sea.
Whether you visit Neos Marmaras, Agios Nikolaos, Metamorphossi or any other village in the area too, the beautiful architecture and friendly atmosphere are sure to delight. Among the most exciting places to visit is Parthenonas. It’s on the slopes of Mount Itamos and features stone houses, taverns, a museum and sea views which are exceptionally beautiful at sunset. Porto Koufo village is also a great place to visit. There foodies will enjoy devouring just-caught fish in its taverns.
With one hundred beaches too, you’re spoilt for choice in Sithonia. Blue Flag Sarti beach, Kalamitsi beach and Toroni beach are all recommended for their calm, clear waters and sandy coastline. You’ll also find plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports like windsurfing, kitesurfing and scuba diving, and there are boat trips for exploring the coral reefs, blue lagoons and deserted coves.

Getting There
How to reach Halkidiki
The nearest airport is the International Airport of Thessaloniki. This is about 16km from Thessaloniki. From this region of Thermi you can get to Halkidiki by bus or Taxi. There are several domestic flights that run from Athens Airport to the airport in Thessaloniki too.

Best Suited For: All AgesSithonia is well known for its beautiful family-friendly beaches. Flag Sarti beach, Kalamitsi beach and Toroni beach are all excellent choices with calm crystal-clear waters for swimming and snorkelling. There are also amenities near to most of the beaches for when you get peckish during the day.
For child-friendly history activities, you can spend afternoons exploring the ancient monasteries and churches. The Unesco-protected holy mountain of Athos, dotted with monasteries and the village of Olympiada, Aristotle’s birthplace – are also both must visits.
Teenagers will love the water sports available, from sea kayaking and paddle boarding to jet skiing and snorkelling. Sithonia also has plenty of popular scuba dive sites including intriguing lagoons and caves. You can mountain bike, walk or hike in the pine-treed lined mountains or jump on a boat to explore the craggy coastline and coral reefs teeming with colourful wildlife.
