The simply stunning Villa Zafina, sitting on the seafront on the west coast of the Greek island of Corfu, in the azure waters of the Ionian Sea, takes luxury to the next level. This unique two-storey, detached villa has five spacious double bedrooms, which can comfortably accommodate up to ten guests, perfect for a large family holiday, or a group of friends. The villa is set in its own grounds and gardens surrounded by high stone walls, boasting an uninterrupted sea view, and an ecological hydromassage infinity swimming pool.
Villa Zafina comes with all the mod cons, including complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout, satellite TV with Netflix built-in, an alarm system and safe for your security, and private garage parking. For fun and fitness, there is an in-villa beauty salon and state-of-the-art gym. The villa has local stone cladding, natural wood floors, and floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light, and cooling sea breezes. The interiors are super slick and stylish, furnished with contemporary pieces, and eclectic modern lighting, and decorated in a serene colour palette of soothing soft greys and crisp clean whites.
Access the grounds of the villa through the impressive double wooden doors. Enter Villa Zafina at ground floor level, where you will be welcomed by a bright and breezy open plan living space, with picture postcard windows that reward the guest with panoramic sea views. The seating area is seriously smart, with an L-shaped sofa and armchair, arranged around coffee tables, facing a flat-screen television, and an enclosed wood-burning fire for those cooler months and evenings. The six-seater dining set makes for some splendid indoor dining. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances, and if you don’t fancy cooking, a private chef and staff are on hand to cater for you. The first of five fabulously-appointed bedrooms can be found on this floor, with twin beds, an ensuite shower room, and access to the sea view veranda.
Take the stairs to the first floor, where there are two further double bedrooms, with ensuite marble shower rooms, and sea-view balconies. Nestled between the two bedrooms is an office space with a table and chair. The Guest Apartment has its own independent entrance or can be accessed via an internal staircase. Here you will find an open-plan living space, with a sofa, chairs, a bookcase, and a galley-style kitchen. Two double bedrooms share a bathroom. Pamper yourself in the beauty room, with its own hairdressing station, massage table and relaxation area. To keep you in shape whilst on your holiday, the state of the art gym is equipped with the latest machines, free weights, and yoga mats, as well as Personal Trainers and Yogis at your disposal.
The outside space is breathtakingly beautiful, with panoramic sea views, a tiled terrace, and a decked pool area. The ecological hydromassage infinity swimming pool with a reverse wave system, is surrounded by modern mesh sun loungers and shady parasols. Seek shade in the soft seating spot, then take a walk in the manicured gardens and pick some herbs for supper. As dusk falls take a seat at the outdoor dining table, and feast alfresco on dishes freshly grilled on the barbeque, as you raise a toast to the most memorable holiday under the twinkling stars.

About the surrounding area of Villa ZafinaVilla Zafina can be found sitting on the slope of Kefalmandouko, on the west coast of the island of Corfu, boasting uninterrupted vistas over the azure Ionian Sea, The villa is a three-kilometre drive from the international airport of Ioannis Kapodistrias, near to Gouvia Marina to moor your super yacht, and not far from the port for the island hoppers.
In front of the villa is a small sandy beach, with easy entry into the crystal clear waters of the Ionian Sea. The west coast of Corfu is populated with beautiful beaches. For watersports head to Glyfada and Kontogialos, for peace and quiet try Ermones, and for families, you can’t beat Agios Gordios.
The villa and island offer a whole host of activities to keep you fit on holiday, including personal training, yoga, Pilates, hiking, mountain biking, cycling, walking tours, snorkelling and scuba diving, horse riding, water rafting, and sailing. For those who want to practice their swing, an international golf course is only a few kilometres from the villa.
Villa Zafina is in the neighbourhood of Mandouki, with lots of historic seventeenth-century churches, adjacent to Venetian mansions all set on quaint stone pathways.
The nearby UNESCO World Heritage site of Corfu Old Town is well worth a visit. The old town can be traced back to ancient Greece, with a melting pot of Venetian architecture, French influences, and English rule. Follow the winding streets to discover ancient fortresses and palaces, Byzantine and Archaeological museums, destination squares, thirty-seven churches and a cathedral, souvenir shops, and a whole host of inviting restaurants, cafes, and bars. Visit Achilleion Palace, once the summer home of Sisi, Elizabeth, Empress of Austria. Take a trip to Mon Repos Palace, the original summer residence of the King of Greece, and birthplace of Prince Philip. Get a taste of Corfu with an olive oil or wine tour, sample the delights, and then take some home with you.
If it’s nightlife you are after, many of the beach clubs offer after-sundown sets, top of the list is Pazuzu Club in Glyfada or Fabrica at Acharavi. Party until dawn at the holiday hot spot destinations of Sidari, Acharavi or Kavos, or take a gamble at the Corfu Casino.
Venture further afield with a trip to Benitses Bay, where you can take daily boat trips, better still ask the concierge to organise a private charter and cruise along the shore, or island hop to Paxoi and Antipaxoi.

How to reach Corfu island
There are two ways to get to Corfu island: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: During April to October, several direct flights arrive to "Ioannis Kapodistrias" Airport from Europe as Corfu is one of the most popular travel destinations in Greece. During these months, the airport also receives many domestic flights every day from Athens and Thessaloniki.
By ferry: Travelling by ferry is the most popular way of transport in Greece. Ferries to Corfu depart from Patra and Igoumenitsa. If you are travelling from Europe, Corfu is easily accessible by ferry from Venice, Bari, Brindisi or Ancona too. Best Suited For: TeensThere’s loads for kids to do and see when you holiday on the magical island of Corfu, Starting with the villa, and your own private swimming pool, and as there are no set hours they can play and splash all day. There is a beach directly in front of the villa, and Alkyes Potamou and Dassia are a few minutes away. With white pebbles and crystal clear water, they are great for swimming and snorkelling, with family-friendly cafes and organised sun loungers.
Enjoy a day at Aqualand Corfu Water Park, slip down the forty-nine different slides, splash in pools, jump in the jacuzzi, and play video games. Your daredevil offspring will be thrilled with a day out at Sidari Watersports, where they can parasail across the complex. For those seeking adventure, your kids can try their sea legs wakeboarding, water skiing, or stand-up paddleboarding, and if they don’t take to the water, there’s a whizz around the island Vespa tour.
In the Corfu Aquarium, your children will love spotting fifty species of the local fish. The more adventurous can go to Radar Hiking, where they can discover the island’s flora and fauna. Jump on a Jeep or Quad Bike Safari, travel across off-road terrain, and stop at authentic villages, where you can learn about Corfu culture.
All aboard the daily boats from Benitses Bay, swim and snorkel in the Ionian sea, and enjoy a barbeque on board. Charter a private yacht for a family fun day at sea, ask the concierge, and they’ll arrange it all for you.
Take the kids to nearby Corfu old town, where they can climb ancient fortifications, and explore Byzantine and Venetian castles. Stroll through the public gardens, listen to bands at the music pavilion, and play cricket on the English pitch in the old square. Visit the museums, and hop aboard the city bus tour for a sample of all the major sites and sights!
