About the surrounding area of Villa PapawThe area is enveloped by ancient olive groves, some of which have stood for over a century. It begins from the outskirts of Saint Mathew village, the largest in the region, tracing the island's west coast northward until it reaches Paramonas beach and concludes at Pentati village.
To the south, visitors can discover Lake Corission and Halikounas Beach, both integral parts of the Natura 2000 network. How to reach Corfu island
There are two ways to get to Corfu island: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: During April to October, several direct flights arrive to "Ioannis Kapodistrias" Airport from Europe as Corfu is one of the most popular travel destinations in Greece. During these months, the airport also receives many domestic flights every day from Athens and Thessaloniki.
By ferry: Travelling by ferry is the most popular way of transport in Greece. Ferries to Corfu depart from Patra and Igoumenitsa. If you are travelling from Europe, Corfu is easily accessible by ferry from Venice, Bari, Brindisi or Ancona too.
