Overview

Pool Modern Ideal for Kids Walk to Beach All Bedrooms En-Suite Wheelchair Access Romantic

A stylish luxury villa with three double bedrooms and two twin rooms, sleeping up to ten. Nestled in the hills near the town of Gouvia. Whether you're on a romantic couples' break, a family holiday or a friends' getaway, Villa Asteria is sure to impress. The spacious master bedroom features a plush double bed with a mirrored headboard, a stylish dressing table and a sleek en-suite with double sinks and a walk-in shower. But the best part of the master bedroom has got to be its private terrace with gorgeous views over the pool and across the Corfu countryside.

The other double bedrooms are themed as the nature room and the swimming pool room. The, 'nature' bedroom room is a relaxing oasis with vaulted wooden ceilings and white walls with garden views, and a modern en-suite with a walk-in shower. As you might imagine, the swimming pool room has doors opening right onto the pool – perfect for early birds who like to get in a sunrise swim or fancy a midnight dip before bed. The final bedroom is a small twin with its own en-suite and balcony with views out over the countryside.

For those who love to cook, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen in the open plan living area as well as an outdoor barbecue for al fresco dining. Villa Asteria is also packed with facilities for those who want to keep up their fitness regime on holiday, with an indoor and outdoor heated pool, a gym and a full-sized tennis court. Kids and big kids alike can have fun shooting pool at the pool table, and the villa is also a great option for wheelchair users, thanks to the lift that makes every floor accessible.

A five-minute drive away is the town of Gouvia. It has two lovely beaches with shallow waters perfect for small children; rent some loungers and catch some rays, or try your hand at all kinds of watersports. The island's capital, Corfu Town, is also only a twenty-minute drive with its buzzing nightlife, cultural sites, tasty restaurants and shopping boutiques.

Villa Asteria is located on the eastern side of Corfu, close to Gouvia and just a short drive from Corfu Town. Nestled in the hills of the countryside, it enjoys fantastic views over the bay and across to the Albanian mountains.

Gouvia is a small modern village with two pebbly beaches and features the ruins of the ancient Venetian shipyards from the 17th Century. It’s a great place to visit with plenty to offer for tourists. The main beach has sunloungers and umbrellas, so you can catch some rays looking out across the bay, by the small church of Ipapandi set on a tiny island . Or, if you’re feeling more active, why not have a go at one of the watersports on offer? In the village, you’ll find restaurants with cuisines from traditional Greek food to Mexican, Chinese, Thai and Italian – sure to keep every palate happy! There’s also a lively nightlife with lots of great bars.

20-minutes away by car is Corfu Town, the island’s capital. Filled with plenty of attractions, sights, shops and restaurants it’s definitely worth a day trip or two during your stay. Some of the landmarks include the Mon Repos Palace – the birthplace of The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip in 1921; the Old and New Fortresses; The Corfu Museum of Asian Art; Casa Parlante History Museum; Spianada Square and The Church of Saint Spiridon.

A small island, Corfu is very accessible by car, making it easy to explore from North to South and East to West. Go hiking through the rugged mountains, take a boat tour along the coastline, sunbathe on secluded beaches or go wine tasting in the vineyards. In the centre of the island you’ll also find the Corfu International golf club if you fancy hitting some balls under the hot Greek sun, as well as Aqualand: one of Europe’s best waterparks – sure to be a hit with the kids!
