Book Now & Grow Green: 3 Trees Planted with Every Booking!

This Earth Day, join our mission to plant 3 trees for every booking made between April 22nd - 28th, 2024. Let's make a sustainable impact together! Learn more about our journey here >>

Set in its own green paradise, this villa offers easy access to many of the most loved places in Provence. The pretty farmhouse nestles in the foothills of Les Alpilles Natural Park, a landscape loved and painted by artist Vincent Van Gogh. The mountains provide a wonderful backdrop to an area renowned for its vistas of vineyards, olive groves, orchards, cypress hedges and seasonal swathes of sunflowers.

Le Paradis Vert is situated just outside St-Rémy de Provence with restaurants, shops and everything you need nearby. There is plenty of space to entertain together or enjoy occasional solitude – indeed, the first floor annex has its own independent access! The farmhouse has a warm and cosy atmosphere with an eclectic mixture of furnishings, artwork and sculpture to enjoy.

The shaded terrace beside the house will be the ideal place to relax with your glass of Côtes de Provence or you may prefer to immerse yourself in the outdoor jacuzzi for a spot of extra indulgence. The heated pool sparkles on the lawn opposite the hill and trees.

St-Rémy is an idyllic village popular with its resident artists, many of whom display or sell their works in the local galleries. The town is also famous for its many restaurants, from down to earth bistros found on pretty narrow streets to Michelin starred establishments.

Nearby Eygalières is one of the prettiest spots in Provence while Mollégès is also a charming village with narrow streets and ancient houses. Don’t miss the lively city of Avignon during your stay. Explore its winding medieval streets, visit the two UNESCO world heritage sites and Saint Benezet Bridge. Drive south west towards the wild horses of the Camargue to visit Arles with its incredible architecture and fascinating Roman remains.

Or you may simply prefer to enjoy your wonderful villa and the beautiful countryside nearby. Keen hikers will enjoy being able to walk directly from the farmhouse and the whole of Les Alpilles provides opportunity for outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking, horse riding and mountain biking.

Villa Paradis Vert is situated just outside St-Rémy de Provence with restaurants, shops and bank only a short drive away or around a twenty to thirty-minute walk.

The village is popular with artists, many living in the area and displaying or selling their works of art in the local galleries. Famous artist Vincent Van Gogh was hospitalised for over a year at the old asylum of St Paul de Mausole. In the summer months, on selected Sundays, the ‘Route des Artistes’ fills with local artists showing off their work creating a wonderful and bustling atmosphere.

The town is also famous for its many restaurants, from down to earth bistros found on pretty narrow streets to Michelin starred establishments. Gastronomers, look out for the Wednesday and Saturday morning markets with their anchovies, olives and wild herbs. Wine aficionados can easily arrange private tours and tastings at the vineyards in the surrounding countryside.

The archaeological site of Glanum is well worth visiting and only a couple of minutes walk away. It was dug and rediscovered in 1921 exposing the great buildings that characterised the cities of Imperial Rome. The Alpilles museum (1.7km) offers fascinating information about the area and its heritage while Musée Estrine (1.8km) commemorates the year Van Gogh stayed in St-Rémy as well as showcasing other regional artists.

Nearby Eygalières (13km) in Les Alpilles Natural Park is one of the prettiest spots in Provence, a small hill-top village with winding lanes and stunning views, home to many celebrities seeking refuge from the paparazzi. The park itself provides plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities such as rock climbing with hiking, horse riding and mountain biking popular on the many marked trails. Nature lovers will enjoy its biodiversity and abundance of resident bird species.

Don’t miss the lively city of Avignon (23km) during your stay. Explore its winding medieval streets, visit the two UNESCO world heritage sites, the Pope’s Palace and Saint Benezet Bridge. The covered market offers all sorts of delights or head to the weekend farmers, flower and flea markets for wonderful local produce and a bargain or two. For warm summer evenings of culture there is theatre in Avignon and Opera lovers should book early for the July Festival in Aix en Provence (67km).

Arles (27km) is also fantastic city to visit, a southwards drive in the direction of the wild grey horses and pink flamingos of the Camargue Regional Park (41km). With a rich historical past, Arles is well known for its incredible architecture and fascinating Roman remains. It is also famous for its connection to Vincent Van Gogh who managed to paint over 500 works during his relatively short time in the city he loved so much.

Les Baux-de-Provence (9km), one of France’s acclaimed ‘plus beaux villages’, is also within easy reach. Gordes (38km) is yet another one of the beautiful villages worth visiting with stunning architecture, set in the outstanding Luberon region, surrounded by those iconic lavender fields in the summer months.

If you love the sight and smell of lavender a visit to Un Mas en Provence (31km) will give you a fantastic sensory experience explaining how the relaxing scent is produced.
