The villa sits on 1000 square metres of terraced grounds filled with bright lawns and pine, olive and palm trees in a hilly and quiet residential area just three minutes’ drive from Vence and only 15 minutes from the wonderful beaches of Cagnes Sur Mer, Antibes and the Mediterranean coast.

It is beautifully finished using quality materials and in a soothing contemporary style full of space and light. The bathrooms are in lovely natural stone and the villa’s large dining terrace has a beautiful pergola for shade.

Vence is a charming medieval town with wonderful street markets, a varied selection of shops and cafes especially in the busy Place Clemenceau and many art galleries. This area has always been popular with artists such as Picasso and Matisse and today there are many museums paying homage to their work such as Matisse's chapel which the artist designed and decorated in the late 1940's. In Summer, the town hosts the sensational music festival 'Nuits du Sud'.

St Paul de Vence is home to the Meghet Modern Art Museum and offers plenty of shops and restaurants including the world famous 'Colombe d'Or'. A country market takes place every Wednesday morning on Place de Gaulle, whereas on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays there is a fruit, vegetables and flowers market at the entrance to the village.

Tourrettes-sur-loup, a picturesque perched medieval village often known as ‘Village des Violettes’, located 6km from the property, is highly recommended. It is an authentic hidden treasure surrounded by rolling hills, from Puy-the-Tourrettes up until Col-de-Vence. Allow yourself to be transported back in time while strolling down its narrow streets, admiring the beautiful architecture and exploring the many local craft shops. Don't miss the 'Fetes des Violettes’ in March as well as the festivals of St. Arnoux and St.Madeleine which are celebrated in July with a fireworks display and a ball (14th July). Moreover, the 'Festival de la Musique' takes place over July and August!

Golf courses, tennis courts, hiking (e.g trail GR51, the 'Balcony of the Cote d'Azur'), fishing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, water-skiing, horse-riding are all close at hand.

The attractive old town of Cagnes-sur-mer (10km) is also well worth a visit, especially because of Renoir's house, Les Collettes, which is now a museum with several of his paintings and works by his friends.

All the best of the Cote D'Azur and its stunning beaches is within easy reach, with Antibes, Cagnes-sur-mer, Cannes and Nice being all exciting day-trip options! There are even daily Ferrys to Saint Tropez and the Lerin islands departing from Cannes.

The famous perfume town of Grasse is also close by, so a visit to the Fragonard perfume museum and factory is essential as is the lovely Friday market in Valbonne (30mins).

A 40-minutes drive will take you to Monaco and in just one hour you will be in Italy. Cross the border and explore Ventimiglia's unique Friday market.

Really do?
For the nature lovers, the diversity of the landscape offers very beautiful possibilities of strolls. Situated in 325 m of height and a few kilometers away from the Pass of Vence, the city is the starting point of numerous hikes in the direction of St Paul de Vence, Tourrettes on Wolf, ruins of the castle of Queen Jeanne, chapel St Raphaël, or still towards Baou of the Whites.

There are many good restaurants to choose from: “La cassolette “, “L’oliveraie”, “La farigoule”, “La onda”

Really see?
Near the Average Country, Vence amazes by the beauty of its sites and offers himself to the visitor in all its authenticity. Vence is proud of her past and deserves that we give way to it by going off to explore its history  and its patrimonial monuments which make its charm and its wealth: the historic city with its ramparts of the 13th century, the cathedral Notre-Dame of the Christmas, the fountains of which that of "Peyra classified as Historic Monument", the numerous chapels witnesses in the course of the centuries of the builders of the sacred art.

  • A trip to remember!

    We've just returned from a fantastic week at this stunning villa near Vence. Corinne and her family went out of their way to ensure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The villa itself has everything you could ever need for an enjoyable break. As a group of 5, the house was very spacious, and could have easily
    catered for more. We made good use of the pool and sun loungers throughout the week - there is no shortage of space, and the garden and grounds are well-maintained. The interior of the house is immaculate - the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas were all lovely. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen is well-equipped with many utensils, a spacious oven and fast induction hob. There is also a gas BBQ outdoors, which we made use of during our stay. Access to a car is recommended if staying at the villa, since it's located in the outskirts of Vence. I believe there is a local bus service, though we never used it. The villa is well placed for visiting all the local towns, including Vence, St-Paul-de-Vence, Nice, Antibes, Cannes and even Monaco. There are some fantastic restaurants nearby in the picturesque town of Vence - we ate at Les Agapes and Restaurant Les Lavandes, both highly recommended. St-Paul-de-Vence is a must-see, definitely worth a visit, and only a 15 minute drive away! This is one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in, and we would have no hesitation recommending it to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday in the south of France. Thank you to Corinne and her family for making us feel so welcome, and for making this a trip to remember.

  • The best house we've ever rented

    We're just back from a wonderful stay in Vence. We were a party of seven, two families with 3 kids ranging from 6 to 16. We've stayed in several houses in the south of France over the years and this was the best one we've ever rented. Corinne and Christophe were fantastic hosts, very helpful without being intrusive, super friendly and accommodating. Corinne responded very quickly to messages and was eager to tell us about the local area and suggest things to do. The house is lovely: spacious, modern, spotless and very well stocked (e.g. two different sorts of coffee machine, plenty of towels, household supplies like washing powder etc available). It had absolutely everything we needed. The air conditioned bedrooms were brilliant on hot nights. There is a big, well kept garden, an excellent pool with plenty of sun loungers, a big shady outdoor eating area with a gas barbecue which we used loads, and a separate seating area which has an awning so you can choose whether to be in sun or shade. Although there are other houses nearby, it feels private and the terrace and windows are not overlooked. It's about a 35 minute walk to the centre of Vence so we mostly drove (there is a multi-storey car park just outside the historic pedestrianised area which always had spaces). It's a great little town, very pretty, with lots of little shops and galleries and many excellent places to eat, as well as good amenities: big supermarket, several bakeries etc. It's also easy driving to lots of things to visit in the area. I can't recommend this house and host highly enough.

  • We had an amazing vacation

    We had an amazing vacation in this lovely house, it was perfect for us (8 adults and 2 small children), and Corinne & Christophe were super hosts! The house is beautiful and well kept plus very well equipped for a group of friends/family, with large common spaces and seating both indoors and outdoors for dining, relaxing and playing with the children safely. The bedrooms are comfortable and cool, even during hotter nights like when we were there. The kitchen and terrace with its large barbecue was perfect for preparing and enjoying big family meals. We loved the garden, pool area and lounge area, giving us options for activities/relaxing in the sun or shade throughout the day. The house feels secluded and private, yet in a cozy safe neighborhood. The village of Vence was very picturesque with stunning views, and we made a day trip to the beach easily with the local bus. Corinne is extremely friendly, easy to communicate with and helpful (she even took us to the supermarket and helped us with the glass recycling since we did not rent a car, as well as booking taxis for our trip back to the airport!) We would recommend anyone to rent this lovely house with Corinne as their host! Thank you so much Corinne and Christophe!
