With wraparound views over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and space to accommodate up to twelve guests in elegant surroundings, Villa Charlemagne is the perfect place to enjoy a memorable holiday with friends or extended family.

This villa is located just 2km away from the nearest sandy beach and 4km away from the heart of Saint-Tropez, making this an incredible base for exploring the stunning towns and beaches of the French Riviera.

The home is a space that befits the chic, luxurious feel of Saint-Tropez and has been finished to the highest of standards. Every part of the villa boasts bright and airy spaces, neutral décor and comfortable furnishings. The living area is located on the first floor to make the most of the breathtaking sea views. The main living and dining room is a vast, open-plan room flooded with natural light from the doors leading onto the large terrace. As the sun sets, you could gather for a glass of wine on the comfy sofas or head outside to sit in the garden.

Five of the six bedrooms are situated in the main villa; four are on the ground floor, and the master suite is set on the first floor and has an inviting bath for a long soak with a good book. The final bedroom is set apart from the villa in a separate studio within the grounds; you can find a double bedroom, a bathroom and a well-equipped gym with fitness equipment in this studio. If you are travelling with grandparents or a couple who would like more privacy from the rest of the party, then this studio would be great. In addition to a gym, the home has many fantastic features, such as an indoor pool. 

When you want to head out and see more of your surroundings, there is plenty to see and do locally. A short stroll away, you can visit a luxury 5* hotel managed by the same owners as Villa Charlemagne. The hotel facilities are open to villa guests, so you can enjoy breakfast, book a table at their gourmet restaurant for dinner or visit the spa. You can have all the benefits of the incredible hotel while enjoying the privacy and space of the villa.

Villa Charlemagne is situated in a leafy, elevated position overlooking the dazzling blue water of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Whether you wish to spend your time shopping in town, which is just 4km away, dining at the port or visiting pretty hilltop villages, there is plenty to see and do in this gorgeous part of the French Riviera.

Heading inland through the vineyards and hills, visit the little village of Gassin, which is 6km from the villa. Praised as one of France’s most beautiful villages, this is definitely a place which should be on your itinerary, and you can easily spend an afternoon or two having lazy lunches in the square. This historic settlement has old town walls and chapels, which you can visit and walking trails with staggering views.

In Saint-Tropez, just 4km away, you will find several beautiful beaches. Make sure to allow some time to see the other side of Saint-Tropez, known as La Ponche, a lovely place to explore. La Ponche is the authentic old town clustered around the historic fishing port. In this area, you can see the citadel, the old bell tower, ancient churches, an assortment of restaurants and a traditional market which sells herbs and fresh produce. 

Guests can also access a gourmet restaurant at a 5* hotel which is managed by the same owner as the villa. As well as having a fine-dining restaurant for the evenings, the hotel offers breakfast which villa guests can partake in and light lunches, which you can enjoy al-fresco on the atmospheric hotel terrace. You could even spend all day at the hotel as there are several pools, a gym and a brilliant spa where you could have a massage or beauty treatments.

If you would like to see more of the area, then why not take a boat trip to the breathtaking Golden islands or drive over to neighbouring Sainte-Maxime, 13km away.

However, there’s more to Saint-Tropez bay than exclusive beach clubs, glitzy boutiques and fine dining restaurants. From the family-friendly beaches of Sainte-Maxime to the vineyards of La Croix Valmer, Oliver’s Travels guests can truly admire this enchanting corner of the French Riviera whilst staying in one of our handpicked villas in and around Saint-Tropez.

Soak up the luxurious yet laidback vibe of Saint-Tropez as you wander around its marina lined with huge yachts contrasting colourful fishermen’s houses overlooking the bay. The old quarter is a warren of winding lanes with French designer boutiques, picturesque cafes and restaurants whilst Place des Lices hosts a vibrant Provençal market on a Tuesday and Saturday morning. Enjoy the most glorious vistas from Saint-Tropez’s 17th century citadel and maritime museum. Boat trips are another superb way to tour this part of the coast and passenger ferries cross the bay.

Just south of the town, follow Brigitte Bardot’s footsteps as you visit one of Plage de Pampelonne’s exclusive beach clubs, the most famous being Le Club 55 (always book well in advance). Stretching over 5km, Pampelonne’s long sandy beach is also loved for its vast range of summer watersports including jet-skiing, windsurfing and paddleboarding.

The picture-perfect villages of Saint-Tropez bay are beautifully located to make the most of the French Riviera scenery. On the hillside overlooking Plage de Pampelonne, Ramatuelle has attracted artists and writers over the years and is full of charm – look out for performances during its theatre and jazz festivals in the summer months. Meanwhile, hilltop Gassin is classified as one of France’s 'Plus Beaux Villages’ whilst flower-filled Grimaud is such a pretty medieval village with yet more stunning views of the coast.

Driving into the Maures hills, discover the characterful villages of La Garde-Freinet and Le Plan-de-la-Tour surrounded by oak and chestnut forests, a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, horse-riding enthusiasts and other outdoor adventurists.

Back to the coast, take a boat tour of Port Grimaud, known as the ‘little Venice of the Côte d’Azur’, and experience its atmospheric Monday evening summer market. Across the other side of the bay, Sainte-Maxime is a lovely sheltered seaside town with pretty cafes, a daily market and gorgeous beaches. Families adore this area – there are tree-top adventures, tennis, mini-golf, a water park and coastal paths for biking and hiking.

Golf-lovers can appreciate a choice of courses – Golf Blue Green as well as the prestigious Beauvallon Golf Club and Golf Club Saint-Tropez. Wine connoisseurs should head to the wine châteaux of Saint-Tropez and Pampelonne as well as the vineyards of La Croix Valmer.

Not forgetting the idyllic shores of soft sand and crystal-clear sea of La Croix Valmer’s coastline from Plage de Sylvabelle to Plage de Gigaro, also home to a wonderful coastal walking trail with the most incredible flora and fauna alongside sensational views of the Mediterranean as you hike towards Cap Lardier and beyond.

Close to the villa, there are pristine white sandy beaches, forest walking routes and plenty of family-friendly attractions to visit. For example, one place you could visit for the day is the town of Fréjus which is just over 30km away. The town boasts the largest water park in this area, with splash parks, playgrounds, numerous pools and a range of slides for all ages. If you haven’t had enough fun, you can also visit the nearby fun fair on the seafront!
