Valmer Beach Villa boasts a highly desirable position in the heart of the St Tropez peninsula, surrounded by umbrella pines, nature reserve, vineyards and only 300 metres from the lovely sandy cove of Vergeron.

In addition to Vergeron Beach, six kilometres of natural sandy beaches, such as Sylvabelle, Heraclée, Gigaro, Ponent and Plage du Débarquement are all within easy walking distance of the villa along the coastal footpath. So too are their numerous beach restaurants.

The beaches, restaurants and beautiful natural surroundings will provide unforgettable memories outside the villa, and at the villa you will be treated to sea views and modern, comfortable and luxurious accommodation inside and outside.

The villa is light and airy and has the added bonus of air-conditioning, whilst outdoors, alfresco living is idyllic with lovely terraces, sea views, a pétanque pitch and a stunning, private heated pool. There is also beautiful garden with a oleander flowers, lavender and other Mediterranean plants.

La Croix Valmer is not only known for the quality of its swimming waters and its fine sandy beaches, but also for its fauna and flora and for its coastal walking paths through the nature reserve and through vineyards and villages.

The centre of the village is only 2km away. It has a Sunday market and many vineyards including a Côtes de Provence AOC vineyard.

It’s no wonder that La Croix Valmer is often referred to as paradise on Earth.

But for a quick change of scenery, Saint Tropez is less than 15km away and will dazzle with its glitz and glamour as well as its charming markets, local artists and typical Côte d’Azur joie de vivre!

Owner Profile

How long have you owned the property?
Since December 2012

What was it about the property that you first fell in love with?
We had been taking holidays in the South of France for many years and had mostly rented villas in the area of Cannes. We decided to buy a property of our own and very nearly concluded a purchase in the area of Cannes but when this purchase fell through we were persuaded that we should look in the area of St Tropez. We fell in love with the area of La Croix Valmer and Gigaro for its beauty, wonderful sandy beaches, vineyards and the friendliness of local people. We felt that the place really had a heart and soul  which cannot be said for all areas of the Cote d'Azur. To summarise in one sentence; The location, just 300 metres from the sea and in an area of outstanding beauty and yet only 15 minutes from St Tropez.

For anyone coming to stay is there anything in the surrounding area they should...
Really do?
Walk the Littoral onto Cap Lardier. It is truly beautiful and unspoilt. Fantastic views, natural fauna and flora, small coves. There are so many things to see and do in the area and we have an excellent tourist office who will provide information maps etc. Everything from hilltop villages, coastal walks, water-sports, golf, local markets, there is something for everyone. The seven sandy beaches of La Croix Valmer with excellent quality water are ideal.  Some beaches have beach restaurants and why not walk the beaches of La Croix Valmer right round to Cavalaire sur Mer and have lunch in the Marina?  If you want to go and rub shoulders with the rich and famous then go to the famous Pampelonne beach and have lunch at Club 55 or Tahiti Plage, Moorea Plage, Eden Park or one of the other beach restaurants there.

Really eat?
Five a day! There are so many restaurants in the area offering everything from typical tourist food to French gastronomy depending upon your tastes. Maurin des Maures at Rayol Canadel sur Mer is famous for Aioli and Bouillabaisse. Chez Nous at Cogolin, Pomme des Pin on Route Tahiti or Le Pescadou at Gassin.
Really see? - So much to see and do.  Cru class  wine tasting at Domaine de la Croix and other local vineyards, walking the beautiful coastline, sailing, watching Polo, exploring the hill top villages of Gassin, Grimaud, Ramatuelle & La Garde Freinet. Depending upon the time of year, there are numerous events from musical entertainment, fetes to celebrate the Mimosa in February, Olive Festival at Rayol Canadel in April, Chestnuts in October at La Garde Freinet. Le Voiles de St Tropez. Porsche Paradis at St Tropez .The colourful spectacle of the Bravade in St Tropez in May or the Bravade de Saint-Clement in La Garde Freinet the feast of St John with procession, singing and fireworks in Cavalaire in June.

What insider tip would you pass on about the property or the area?
The first would be to relax and take in the beauty of the area. The second tip would be to avoid traffic in peak season when going to St Tropez via the D93 which is a quieter and a scenic route. As you approach St Tropez turn off to the right at St Anne's just opposite the Veterinary sign on the left. This will lead to the multi storey car park at Place des Lices.  Ideal for the market and town of St Tropez.  If the car park is full, follow the signs to the Port of St Tropez for the car park there. Arrive early on Tuesday and Saturday which are market days.

- Walk the Littoral
- Visit the Mediterranean Gardens at Rayol Canadel
- Visit Bormes Les Mimosa
- Visit the Chateau at Grimaud
- Visit the Citadel and museum at St Tropez
- Visit Port Grimaud - inland waterways (French Venice).
- Eat at Maurin des Maures at Rayol Canadel
- Get up early,  buy croissants, bread and confiture in Gigaro and walk onto Cap Lardier and have breakfast on the beach in one of the small coves.
- Visit the port at St Tropez, relax in one of the bars looking out over the port.
- Visit the local markets at St Tropez, La Croix Valmer, Cavalaire sur Mer, Ste. Maxime.
- Hire a kayak at Gigaro and go along the coast line of Cap Lardier or snorkel in the clear water.

  • Gorgeous villa

    on 27/08/2023

We've had a wonderful stay at your gorgeous villa. The salt water pool was a particular hit and we loved playing "jeronimo" and petanque. We had a great day at Debarquement Beach with a nice long lunch. Also took the ferry from Cogolin to St Tropez which was fun. Thank you to the host who was so friendy and helpful. Very sad to leave...

  • Just perfect!

    on 17/08/2022

The house was just perfect, particularly given the challenge of the heat; it is like a perfect machine for handling hot weather, with fully functional blinds, brilliant air conditioning and cool surfaces. The pool area was superb, and each of the rooms very luxurious. There are plenty of different areas around the house to settle depending on where the sun is. We loved playing boules, jenga and badminton.
The market nearby is fantastic, the cheese I bought there the best I've ever tasted. There are several nearly deserted, beautiful beaches within a walk and loads of activities a couple of miles away. And St Tropez and Port Grimaud were in their separate ways spectacular. The binder left for us to peruse was comprehensive!

  • We've had a wonderful stay in your well equipped home!

    on 26/08/2019

Found a great yoga teacher and had fun at L'Opera, Bagatelle and Couleurs Jardin. Chez Dada good for a quick walk and meal. Everything in the house/garden worked well/

  • What a wonderful time

  • What a beautiful villa and relaxing garden

    on 20/08/2019

We had such a lovely stay and we had everything we needed. The pool was at the perfect temperature and we enjoyed eating our meals on the terrace. Our favourite beach to walk to was Debarquement, about a 25minute walk along the coastal path. We also loved walking to the little fruit and veg stall just down the road and ordering delicious baguettes, as well as ordering pizzas from Chez Dada. Thank you for a wonderful holiday

  • Everything has been perfect!

  • We will be back!

    on 14/08/2018

Have had a wonderful week in this fabulous villa with family and friends. Can't thank Alex enough for being so helpful throughout our stay. We loved La Croix Valmer and the local beaches and have had so many wonderful meals in the local restaurants. Plenty to keep teenagers entertained!

  • A lovely time in a beautiful villa

    on 12/10/2017

As we are nearing the end of our holiday in La Croix Valmer we just wanted to personally thank you for letting us share your beautiful villa. We have had such a lovely time and have thoroughly enjoyed everything the villa has to offer, in particular the pool which has been wonderful. In fact our son, said you must tell them the pool is amazing! It really is a perfect family home. We have enjoyed exploring La Croix Valmer, the beaches have been great (we fell in love with Plage Gigaro and Plage Debarquement) and the restaurants too.

  • We had an absolutely fantastic time

    on 26/09/2017

Many thanks for letting us book our holiday with you – we had an absolutely fantastic time and would certainly be a repeat customer if dates worked! Alex was so helpful on our first day helping us get settled in – so please pass on our thanks.

  • Fabulous

    on 23/08/2017

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at Valmer Beach in La Croix Valmer. Our villa was simply perfect. It had all the amenities you could wish for and stunning facilities. The pool was amazing and everything was spotless and immaculately maintained. Located on a private road it was very peaceful yet just a short car ride from all the main beaches and sites. In fact you could walk along coastal paths just behind the villa and access all the beaches from there - which for our family was ideal. (The walk wouldn't suit young children ours were 10 and 8)

If you are searching for the perfect family villa this is it. Thank you Laura for everything you did in helping us find it!

  • Luxury villa in idyllic spot

    Created on 24/08/2016

We spent a wonderful week in La Croix Val Mer. The villa and pool were everything we hoped for and Alex looked after us beautifully. Can't recommend this villa highly enough. Absolutely every-thing has been thought of and the views are stunning.

  • Great Villa and Setting

    on 23/08/2016

This was our 3rd year holidaying for 2 weeks at Valmer Beach Villa. We loved every day of our holidays here. 1st week we were family of 8 (6 adults and 2children), 2nd week two families (4 adults and 5 children aged 14-8). As every year we had a great time. The villa is beautifully furnished and equipped for comfortable safe catering. The air-conditioning is great plus, as nights can be very hot. For kids there is boule, table tennis and of course the swimming pool! The extra for us is that pool is salty ( i.e. maintained with minimum chlorine), as our son suffers from eczema. Generally, we went to Pardigon beach, as there is a raft, which kids like swimming to and diving of. The Cove beach is just a short walk from the villa and it was our favourite place for snorkelling in the late afternoons. It is La Croix Valmer's best kept secret. We dined at home and in local restaurants of La Croix Valmer and had one big night in St. Tropez! Thank you Gordon and Anne for lovely holidays and we hope to stay in your villa again next year.

  • Beautiful villa

    on 27/07/2016

This is a stunning villa, the perfect retreat for a relaxing holiday. It is very well equipped and furnished to an extremely high standard with everything you will need to cater for your family. The beds are extremely comfortable so we all slept very well particularly with the air conditioning and white linen. We drove to the beach everyday and hired sun beds at Dauphin Plage, a super beach bar which sells delicious food too. This is our 14th year to the area and we will definitely be back next year. Highly recommended.

  • Highly recommend!

    on 23/10/2015

For the second year in a row, we enjoyed a wonderful vacation in Gordon and Anne's home. We love the pool, yard, view, patio and the very practical and modern house. Our college aged children played ping pong and boules often. The (almost private) beach is really within walking distance, the larger, public beaches only a short bike ride away. When we were in the mood for some action, St Tropez and its beaches are only about 20-30 minutes by car. A PERFECT vacation and setting. We hope to come again!

  • The place to be for perfect holidays

    on 23/08/2015

This was our first stay in Gordon and Anne's Valmer Beach Villa. We were 6 + 3 Kids and we all were surprised in a positive way from this beautiful mansion. The house is outside and inside very very beautiful and in all details thought out. Both, living kitchen as well as bedrooms and bathrooms are very elegant and modern furnishings. Another highlight was the pool area, that we used often. We think that you and your wife have spent a lot of time and money to build up such a superb villa in La Croix Valmer.
All in all, we had spent 2 great holiday weeks.
Last but not least: a great compliment to Alex the caretaker on site. She was very helpful and always available. We will certainly come back here again

  • A perfect venue for a comfortable easy holiday

    on 29/09/2014

We've just had a wonderful 2 week stay in this villa. Every effort had been made by Gordon and Anne to make it comfortable and easy to operate. It was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was superb, the bathrooms wonderfully appointed, and the swimming pool a delight. Fully recommended.

  • Simply something special

    on 13/02/2014

We had a delightful 2 week stay in this villa, the level of modern equipment was excellent and we wanted for nothing during our stay. The villa was well decorated throughout and the furniture and fittings had been chosen with care and comfort in mind. The heated pool was excellent and the Astro Turf used to keep the gardening to a minimum around the pool area was an act of genius. We have taken a holiday in La Croix Valmer for the past 7 years. The village and surrounding areas are quite beautiful. This coupled with this villa assures you of an unforgettable vacation. I know that the villa owners Gordon and Anne, (such nice people), have for the past 2 years battled builders and bureaucracy -as we all do-to complete this villa which is now really something special.

  • Fantastic villa, fabulous location1

    Created on 03/01/2014

We had a wonderful week staying at this villa, it far exceeded our expectations. Facilities were amazing, especially the pool. Well situated for access to beaches and the local town, which were both lovely. St Tropez was within easy reach. All of the bedrooms were beautifully decorated, the linen and the furnishing throughout the villa was tasteful and comfortable. All immaculate and exceptionally clean. The laundry room was a godsend. Thank you to owners Ann and Gordon for thinking of just about everything
    We will definitely return.
