Overview

Pool Villa/House Modern Beach Nearby Ideal for Kids Laptop Friendly Workspace Parking Space

Fantastically positioned just a stone’s throw away from Cannes in southern France’s Côte d'Azur region, Villa Marant is a one-of-a-kind villa offering the utmost comfort in a stylish form.

Inside, the interiors are contemporary and understated with neutral walls and large floor-to-ceiling windows opening onto one of the many terraces overlooking the freshly manicured lawn. All five bedrooms are carefully spread across the three floors to offer privacy and lean towards the younger end of the design timeline while benefiting from large, en-suite bathrooms finished to high standards. At the same time, there’s plenty of space in the common areas for the entire group to socialise, and the sleek living room invites you to linger with a glass of wine while dinner is being cooked in the kitchen just around the corner.

The large infinity-style pool that overlooks the garden below seeps into the blue horizon, perfect for early morning dips or idle afternoons. The decked terrace is the place to be, whether it’s to practice your downwards-facing dog followed by a healthy breakfast, an afternoon spent snoozing away on a sun lounger or evenings spent organising al-fresco dinner parties and watching the sun slip behind the horizon. If you can’t get enough of the splashing around, make sure to grab one of the bedrooms on this level which have instant access to this splendid outdoor space.

You’re just a 10-minute drive away from Canne’s city centre, full of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and pretty streets filled with both boutiques and souvenir shops. The flashy port Vieux Port de Cannes and its promenade Boulevard de la Croisette belong to some of the most favoured parts of the city and are fantastic for strolling around.

In just 20 minutes you can reach Antibes, a historic city full of life and character. Its old town is enclosed by 16th-century ramparts overlooking the Port Vauban marina, while also being home to some of the most stunning beaches on the French Riviera. Here you can also find museums, galleries and a typical Provençal market Marché Provencal.

Next to the city, you can find Cap d'Antibes, known to be loved by celebrities and full of extravagant estates amid pine trees overlooking the water in Billionaire’s Bay, a French Riviera highlight. Hikers on the Sentier de Tirepoil trail can see beaches on the rocky shore and pass near historic residences such as Château de la Garoupe, where Picasso once stayed.

Another charming city worth visiting is Théoule-sur-Mer, sheltered in a small cove on the Estérel coast. This popular seaside resort is known for its beaches and beautiful sea with crystal-clear water ideal for swimming, snorkelling and water sports.

The spacious property is set on a hill and overlooks the mesmerising Mediterranean coastline while being within walking distance of the shores and the city of Cannes to offer a truly unforgettable holiday.

Beach-combing wanderers will love to know that there are several beaches nearby. For a change of scenery and to stretch your legs, you can walk around the pier and visit the Point de vue golfe de la Napoule – a scenic point great for sunset watching. From here you can continue all the way to Cap de la Croisette to see ferries and boats come and go too.

When you need to stock up on ingredients for home-cooked meals and al-fresco soirées, head to the closest supermarket located only a 5-minute walk away. However, you might want to explore the local cuisine too – and luckily the closest restaurants can be reached in just a few minutes on foot.

Chances are you’ll end up spending most of your holiday in Cannes, and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t. You can satisfy your shopping and dining cravings in the area surrounding Rue du Bateguier, a street full of boutiques and restaurants, or wander around the promenade that’s brimming with romantic charm. In the Marché Forville – a local market with fresh produce and flowers – you can taste traditional cuisine, while the historic church Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance offers pretty city vistas to admire.

In just 10 minutes by car, you can reach Théoule-sur-Mer, a seaside resort tucked away in a small inlet among the rocks of the Esterel Mountains. Well known for its beaches, it has a lovely little lighthouse built from the red rocks mined in the Esterel massif. Head to Plage Vallon de l'Autel and the Plage du Château to catch sun rays, play beach volleyball and swim in the waves, or explore the Plage Petite Fontaine beach which tends to be less frequented by tourists and therefore more peaceful.

Exuding the faded grandeur of its former heyday, Nice sits on the pebbly shores of the Baie des Anges and is full of fascinating landmarks, museums, galleries and of course, a bustling dining scene. The city has long attracted artists from Europe and around the world, and one of its former residents, Henri Matisse is honoured with a career-spanning collection of paintings at Musée Matisse, worth visiting if you have the time. Alternatively, stroll around the famous Promenade des Anglais and climb up to see a panoramic view of the whole city from atop Castle Hill before indulging in classic Provençal dishes and wines in one of the city’s intimate cafés or bustling brasseries.

Region

Despite being renowned for its annual international film festival in May at the iconic Palais des Festivals, Cannes is not just a glamourous destination for the rich and famous. The attractive Côte d’Azur town is loved all year round for its palm-fringed beaches, upmarket shopping opportunities and wonderful restaurants as well as a certain French Riviera charm.

Stroll along Cannes’ iconic La Croisette boulevard following the footsteps of stars from years gone by as you admire prestigious hotels, luxurious boutiques and private beach clubs. Stop off for a cocktail as the sun sets and admire the twinkling lights across the bay. Even at night, La Croisette remains the vibrant heart of this bustling town.

Shop to your heart’s delight along the streets of the Carré d’Or district – come across hundreds of well-known stores along Rue d’Antibes. At the end of a busy day there’s a vast choice of restaurants to suit every taste and budget from authentic bistros spilling out on to the street to Michelin starred establishments.

Soak up the historic side of Cannes as you explore Le Suquet quarter’s medieval lanes passing little shops, atmospheric restaurants, flower-filled balconies and old fishermen’s houses. Climb to the top of the hill by Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance for stunning views of the harbour, followed by a visit to Château de la Castre and its popular museum. This part of Cannes is also home to the colourful Marché Forville showcasing the very best gourmet delights of Cannes and beyond.

Escape the crowds as you venture to Croix Des Gardes natural park with forest walking routes, botanical plants and glorious views across to the Lérins Islands. Look out for some fantastic boat trips from Cannes’ marina from whale and dolphin-watching excursions to family adventures on board a chartered yacht, sight-seeing ferries and romantic sun-set cruises.

Beyond the city centre, visit the ceramic studios and National Picasso Museum in Vallauris, follow Picasso’s footsteps in the enchanting hilltop village of Mougins (loved for its galleries and gastronomy) and appreciate the artistic vibe of Biot with beautiful views of the French Riviera. Chic Juan-les-Pins, so loved by Parisians in the summer, is home to beachside restaurants and more watersports whilst keen walkers will adore the incredible coastal trail around Cap d’Antibes.

In the other direction is the charming seaside village of Théoule-sur-Mer, backed by the dramatic Esterel massif, another paradise for hikers. By staying in one of our collection of handpicked rentals in Cannes you can experience all of this and more during your time on the glistening Côte d’Azur.

If you’re looking for equal parts of fun and knowledge, head to Antibes to visit its many museums. Notably, Musee Reattu houses some of Picasso’s famous works. At the same time, the Fondation Van Gogh is a fine art museum and a cultural complex devoted to the arts, perfect for the entire family. The city also hosts an array of sandy beaches with useful amenities, restaurants and boulangeries where you can recharge your batteries after a day spent exploring.

If you’re looking for some splash and fun, head to Aquasplash Antibes – a waterpark with 20 water rides and a lazy river. Another waterpark, Marineland, is located just outside Cannes and hosts regular dolphin shows, while also featuring shark pools, a playground area and a zoo nearby.

Walks and strolls through the bucolic backwaters are widely encouraged and will help to tire energetic little ones in order to allow you to take a breather. Finding farms, animal sanctuaries and equestrian centres here is basically effortless, with many offering horse-rising lessons and courses taking you through the surrounding green landscape.
