This architect-designed villa is stunning, not just for its location but also its impressive and spacious interiors. Bring the outside in as you slide open the doors to the decked lounge terrace or stroll from the impressive kitchen straight out to the al-fresco dining table beneath the shade.

Decorated in a contemporary style, there is air-conditioning throughout alongside chic furnishings and fittings. The four bedrooms are gorgeous and each feature en suite bath or shower rooms – two of the bedrooms on the first floor have terraces peeking out towards the sea whilst downstairs is an elegant master double as well as an independent twin which could be ideal for teens or other accompanying guests.

The idyllic garden feels like your very own rustic corner of paradise with its slightly raised stone swimming pool and vistas over the pine trees towards the sea. The poolside lighting adds to the magical ambience as you dine al-fresco on warm summer evenings.

Set above Plage de Palombaggia, it’s a very short drive to the beach’s white sandy shores, summer beachside restaurants and seasonal watersports. Whether relaxing by the pine trees or snorkelling in the clear sea, it’s no wonder that this is one of the island’s most iconic beaches. Furthermore, Plage de Tamaricciu is only 3km away whilst many more of southern Corsica’s finest beaches can be reached for a fantastic day out.

Villa Ombre enjoys an enviable location above one of Corsica’s most popular beaches, Plage de Palombaggia, 10km from Porto Vecchio in the south-eastern corner of this beautiful island.

Just a short drive away, find seasonal beachside restaurants and summer watersports along the pine-backed Plage de Palombaggia with idyllic white sand and clear water. The beach is especially popular in the summer months and it is a real privilege to be so near – whilst the house is 700m above the beach as the crow flies, there is no direct access on foot so a car is needed.

Just 3km along the coast, Plage de Tamaricciu is another picture-perfect beach to enjoy or venture further to Plage de Santa Giulia (11km) with yet more beachside restaurants and watersports. Around half an hour away, spend the day at Plage de Rondinara (23km), a gorgeous bay between Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio, or drive towards the glorious and usually less-crowded beaches around the Figari coastline including Plage de Tonnara (35km).

Soak up the ambience of Porto Vecchio (10km) with its 16th century citadel, bustling marina and a warren of historic lanes in the old town featuring delightful cafes, restaurants and bars. The exquisite town of Bonifacio (32km) is another must-visit during your stay – its beauty and character will take your breath away whether pottering around the artisan shops and restaurants of the perched citadel or admiring the incredible views out towards the sea.

To experience the dramatic scenery of Corsica’s interiors, hike through the Col de Bavella or venture to the Forêt de l'Ospédale, coming across pretty mountain villages just perfect for lunch in a traditional auberge serving delicious authentic Corsican fare.

Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €3000 security deposit and €200 cleaning deposit both paid separately via local currency cheque or charged to client’s credit card upon arrival as a pre-authorisation and both refunded 30 days after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 4.00 p.m. - 8.00 p.m. (arrivals after 8.00 p.m. will be charged €50 per hour, payable locally.)
Departure time Before 9.00 a.m. (an end-of-stay inspection will take place at this time with the property representative who will carry out the check-out).
Minimum stay 7 days. All other durations on request.
Changeover day Saturday in July and August. Flexible during all other periods.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes and a light mid-stay clean for stays of 2 weeks or more is also included. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Linen & towels included? Yes, changed weekly.
Pool towels included? Extra €10.50 per towel, payable locally on arrival.
Energy costs included? Yes.
Tax French Visitors Tax is included.
Insurance Guests are advised to be in possession of a valid insurance policy which covers them for cancellations and are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for the rental property, to include personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Pets welcome? Not allowed.
Smoking Allowed? Outside only.
Pool heating charge? Available on request. Extra cost of €150 per week from September to July. Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.
Pool opening dates? The pool is open approximately April to September/October. Please note that pool opening dates are subject to local weather conditions and pool maintenance requirements and that cooler months may not be suitable for swimming.
