Overview

Wedding Venue Pool Pets Welcome

The best way to describe Chateau Segalin is charming and chic!

Restored and refurbished in 2014, this property is an elegant 19th Century chateau in a hunting lodge style, as Southern Touraine was (and remains) a famous horse hunting area. Not only that, those with interests outside the equine are well served, with the chateau sitting just on the river (great for fishing, and you can even enjoy a canoe trip right up to the front of the property!) and is close to La Roche Posay, an historic spa town dating back to Napoleonic times that's well-renowned for its restorative waters, where you'll also find a fantastic casino! Also close is Angles-sur-l'Anglin, which carries the distinction of being one of the most beautiful villages in France!

As well as its fabulous location, Chateau Segalin offers an on-site concierge to help you out with any requests you might have, and comes with a BBQ area, beautifully appointed pool area and plenty of great spaces for eating. Your privacy and relaxation are pretty much guaranteed!

The property is also found near the beautiful Loire Valley, which adds ample opportunity for rambling and some truly exquisite food and wine tasting!

  • Fantastic holiday

    Posted by anonymous on 03/11/2014

After spending this half term with members of our family and sharing our photos of the wonderful holiday we had back in August 2014 ,I thought it was time to get around to giving the property we stayed in the review it deserved. The photos on the site are unable to capture the grandeur of this place and we had a party of six children all under 8 years old and this place had so much space to tire themselves out . The pool was completely safe once the cover was on giving piece of mind and the added bonus of having a fully equipped kitchen by the pool worked a treat . The caretaker gave us his full attention and we paid for his services to cook a celebration meal which was beautifully cooked..Without hesitation we would go back to this chateau which made us feel really special . .

  • Amazing and welcoming!

We stayed at the Chateau for 5 nights in August and were very impressed and amazed with every detail. The staff were very welcoming and could not do enough for us, they even went to get some petrol for us! And could accommodate us at short notice, including our dog. There was only four of us so would definitely love to go back but with more us next time as it was too big just for four of us! Many thanks it was such a special part of our holiday to be remembered!

  • Love a repeat visit!

We had a great holiday and the property is really beautiful and the space is great especially as we had lots of little ones. The photos on the web site are unable to capture how special the property is. The kitchen was equipped really well for us the only thing that was missing was some baking trays for things like pizzas. Having the pool house kitchen was a bonus as it meant we could prepare the children's lunch without going back to the house. For us the safety cover was really good and we liked the fact the pool was a short distance from the property as it made it safer. The location and places of interest eg Futurscope is really good so it would be easy to do a repeat visit
