Villa Subic boasts a stunning plot with sensational sea views and is surrounded by vines and fruit trees. You can pick the grapes, kiwis, oranges and figs, and, if you are lucky, the friendly owners will offer you some of their delicious wine made from the grapes. You will arrive at Villa Subic in no time as the villa is just 5 miles from Dubrovnik airport.

Mlini is a small, idyllic fishing village located halfway between Cavtat and Dubrovnik. It boasts a charming harbour, a gorgeous pebble and sand beach and a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants. It boasts the most stunning sunsets. You can hop on a water ferry or boat trip from the harbour to visit Dubrovnik Old Town, Cavtat or the beautiful Elaphiti Islands.

The main living space of the villa is contemporary and very spacious. It is open plan in design with a trendy, dazzling white kitchen, a gorgeous lounge area with a television, a beautiful feature wall, and indoor dining. There is an additional indoor living space with another smaller kitchen, a dining table and a sofa and chairs, a great space if you have some of the holiday group wanting to do something different or perhaps part of the group wanting to enjoy a little private time.

The villa enjoys six beautifully finished bedrooms and contemporary bathrooms with outstanding walk-in showers or baths and stunning tiles. Five of the bedrooms enjoy kingsize beds, and the last offers twin beds. They are stylish spaces, minimalist in design with feature walls, excellent furnishings and many with huge picture windows so that you can enjoy the fabulous views. Some of the bedrooms enjoy the direct terrace or balcony access. The villa is beautifully finished throughout, mainly in calm neutral colours though there are some stunning colour pops. There is also an excellent collection of striking art decorating the walls.

The outside space of Villa Subic is wonderful, with so much greenery and trees as well as an enchanting terrace offering superb views. The infinity swimming pool is a delight and is surrounded by loungers. Guests have the choice of spaces for alfresco dining, next to the built-in barbecue or quietly tucked away at the side of the house. One thing that is guaranteed is that you will always find a quiet corner in this luxurious villa for a quiet read of your holiday book, together with sensational vistas.

The owners of Villa Subic are incredibly helpful with advice for excursions and dining options. You will feel away from it all in this delightful resort, just 15 minutes from the magical medieval town of Dubrovnik.

Villa Subic is located on the hillside of Mlini, a delightful seaside resort just outside of Dubrovnik. It is half way between Cavtat and Dubrovnik. Mlini enjoys some amazing restaurants, cafes and bars, good shops and a lovely beach where the sunsets are sensational. Mlini gets its name from the numerous fresh water wellsprings that used to power the local flour mills in the past. From Mlini, visitors can take a water ferry or boat trip to visit Dubrovnik Old Town, the island of Lokrum where some of Game of Thrones was filmed and the other Elaphiti islands as well as Cavtat. On Lokrum, visitors enjoy the popular saltwater swimming spot named the ‘Dead Sea’ and beautiful gardens. Villa Subic is close to a number of wonderful beaches including Plat Beach, Siba Beach, Mlini Beach, Srebreno Beach and Kupari Beach.

Though visiting the Old Town of Dubrovnik will be on the top of your excursion list, there are some charming, small, peaceful villages to explore in the countryside including Brgat Donji, Gornji Brgat, Celopeci and Buici and by the sea Plat and Srebreno. Plat is a lovely seaside hamlet with a promenade that stretches along the pebbly beach. It is perfect for a quiet swim.

Cavtat is within easy reach of the villa and only 22km from the border of Montenegro, another beautiful, fascinating visit. Cavtat is very pretty, hemmed in by mountains and lush swathes of pine and cypress forest and is rich in cultural history. It boasts beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, many ancient necropolises dotted around and a wonderful promenade lined with fishing boats and artisan shops. There are several museums and galleries. The town cemetery on the hill contains the Racic family mausoleum which is designed by the sculptor Ivan Mestrovic. The Epidaurus Festival of Music is held every year in Cavtat. Cavtat boasts some excellent restaurants.

Dubrovnik Old Town is incredibly beautiful. With its breathtaking natural beauty, rich historical heritage and fantastic array of restaurants, cafes, bars and unique shops, it is extremely popular. Visitors soak up the romantic atmosphere walking along the Stradun, the main thoroughfare and its narrow streets, admire the countless monuments, taste the delicious city’s rich gastronomic delights and be left breathless with its harmonious beauty. You can taste signature dishes such as rozata, kotonjata or black risotto along with local wines. If you are lucky you will get a table by the harbour. During the summer visitors can enjoy the Dubrovnik Summer Festival with music, theatre and dance performances.

About Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most beautiful walled cities, and one of the most interesting places to stay in Europe. The old town is a knot of limestone streets – worth getting lost in, to stumble upon elegant palazzi and baroque churches. Beyond the sturdy medieval fortifications is a stunning rocky coastline, dotted with pebbly beaches, while islands cast adrift from mainland Croatia are just ready to be explored.

While you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Dubrovnik you may well want to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!

The Dubrovnik Riviera is a fabulous pick for families with safe beaches, impressive hiking trails, biking tracks, a clutch of interactive museums and lots of fortresses for would-be knights and princesses to explore. Close to the villa, you can easily visit Plat, Mlini, Siba, Srebreno and Kupari beaches.

From the harbour in Mlini, you can take a number of boat trips that children always enjoy. You will discover the gorgeous Elephiti Islands, exploring the scenic bays, hidden caves and golden sand beaches. You may want to rent a boat rather than taking an organised boat trip. Kolocep island is known for its architecture and villas and its unspoilt bay. The island of Lopud is home to lovely sandy beaches and ancient monasteries lined with olive groves. It is truly idyllic. On Sipan island children can explore the local wildlife and enjoy the crystal blue sea. If you decide to visit the islands, you can swim, snorkel and make magical holiday memories. Lokrum enjoys various spots where Game of Thrones was filmed.

In Dubrovnik Old Town, your children will discover the wonders of Harry Potter land and Game of Thrones land. You can book a Game of Thrones walking tour or a Game of Thrones escape room to challenge yourselves. Children love walking the high walls, visiting the aquarium and taking the cable car to the top of Mount Srdj where they can enjoy fabulous views of the city walls and the island of Lokrum. Dubrovnik’s Aquarium is situated within the walls of St John’s Fortress. There are 31 aquarium tanks displaying fauna and flora including star fish, sea urchins, shells, crabs and fish.

At Cavtat and other resorts children can enjoy a number of watersports including kayaking and snorkelling.
