Superbly located amidst the lush green gardens of the Blue Waters resort, the Cove Penthouse is positioned across the top floor of a stunning Caribbean villa, offering three beautiful bedrooms and panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. Part of a boutique collection of luxury suites, the penthouse has been designed with the laidback Caribbean lifestyle in mind, boasting elegant décor and furnishings. Blue skies and the warm Caribbean breeze will draw you down to the tranquil shared terrace each morning, where you can spend the day sunbathing by the large infinity-edged pool, dipping in and out of the cooling water as you please. The gardens surrounding the terrace instill a true sense of peace and serenity, providing the perfect backdrop for an afternoon spent lounging with a good book or an evening spent sipping coconut cocktails. From the terrace, you can always stroll down to the white sand beaches below, for an invigorating swim in the ocean.
Upon your return to the enchanting Cove Penthouse, you will be welcomed once again into a bright and relaxing space, boasting an abundance of calming natural light. The understated décor of the penthouse echoes the natural colours and textures of Antigua, perfectly encapsulating the island’s scenic beauty. The open plan living space features a lounge area with comfortable sofas and a flatscreen TV, the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the island. The lounge flows harmoniously into a traditional dining area, where everyone can gather to enjoy a delicious meal prepared in the penthouse’s well-appointed kitchen, which is adjacent to the dining area. The kitchen features modern appliances and a relaxed breakfast bar, from which you can admire the spectacular views with your morning cup of coffee.
The lounge area boasts access to a spacious penthouse balcony, where you will find an informal dining area, complete with dreamlike vistas at sunset. This secluded outdoor space is ideal for sharing a bottle of wine underneath the stars. The Cove Penthouses are very popular amongst couples and friends travelling together, as well as larger family groups.
Each of the three spacious bedrooms features a king-size bed and a modern en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Two bedrooms also boast access to the expansive balcony, where sun loungers are provided. The bedrooms, along with the main living space, are fitted with ceiling fans, ensuring your nights are as restful as your days are relaxing. One of the large bathrooms features a freestanding bathtub, where you can indulge in a luxurious soak after a day spent trekking around one of Antigua’s amazing national parks.

If you decide to venture slightly further afield, you will get to know the stunning island of Antigua in no time. The magnificent Nelson’s Dockyard National Park can be reached within forty-five minutes by car. One of five national parks in Antigua, this cultural treasure is located on the island’s southern coastline. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, the eighteenth-century British naval dockyard is an area of great historical significance on the island, as well as a popular venue for maritime events and activities. For those who wish to experience the magic for themselves, there are plenty of sailing excursions and water-based activities available.
Antigua boasts a variety of fantastic trekking trails, situated around the island and taking in sandy beaches, lush rainforests and dreamlike coastal views. For a challenging day out, put on your hiking shoes and visit Mount Obama, the highest peak in Antigua. From the summit, enjoy the panoramic vistas of the island, before descending to Cades Bay for a delightful dip in the ocean.
Don’t forget to visit Shirley Heights, a restored military lookout known for its bewitching views and community feel. The resort's Kids Club is open from Monday to Friday, for children aged between five and twelve. Here, experienced and enthusiastic staff members will supervise as kids enjoy a wide variety of fun activities, from arts and crafts to sports days, with pizza and movie nights or dance parties come the evening time. For older children, an exciting afternoon of water sports can be arranged, with snorkelling and sea kayaking lessons available. Later on, children aged twelve and over can pay a visit to the resort’s dedicated games room, featuring a pool table, table tennis and plenty of board games.
For those who wish to explore more of Antigua, the island’s amazing landscape has plenty to offer the whole family. Drive inland towards Fig Tree Drive and within forty minutes you will reach the incredible Antigua Rainforest Canopy Park, where a day of ziplining and rainforest adventure awaits! There are a range of fun and friendly eco-activities available here, with options to suit all age groups. With knowledgeable instructors to guide you at every step along the way, you will cross suspension bridges and rope obstacles whilst ziplining your way above the tree-tops and crisscrossing a stunning gorge. Not for the faint-hearted, this exhilarating day out varies in intensity, with ziplines throughout the rainforest at various heights and lengths. Don’t forget to take a break in the magical twin tree houses tucked away in the dense rainforest.
The hiking and trekking trails of Nelson’s Dockyard are another great way to get closer to nature, this time with your feet planted firmly on the ground! Make your way from the marina at Nelson’s Dockyard up to the panoramic views of Shirley Heights on a quiet weekday afternoon, for a scenic hike that everyone will remember. This is a relatively easy hike but do make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and pack plenty of water. There are handy downloadable trail maps available online.
Back down at Nelson’s Dockyard, there is plenty of fun to be had out on the water, with sailing excursions for beginners and more experienced sailors available. Watersports are widely available throughout the island, with sea kayaking and kitesurfing among the most popular. On land, horse riding enthusiasts can saddle up by arranging a visit to a local riding club. Horseback tours can be booked to suit a range of age groups and abilities, taking in gorgeous valleys and pristine beaches with the help of new friends. For an introduction to a truly important facet of Antiguan culture, why not take the family to watch a local cricket match? The island is fiercely devoted to its national sport, which is played everywhere, though official matches tend to take place on weekends.
