Situated in the artistic and hip area of London, Shoreditch is the stunning industrial-style loft Wren Apartment. Presented with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, this property is perfect for small groups, families or professionals looking to explore one of London's most vibrant areas. Shoreditch is home to some of London's best restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes and is well known amongst young creatives and trendsetters as the fashionable place to be.

Designed by Menu Spaces of Denmark, this amazing open-plan first-floor apartment is spread out over one level.

On entering the Wren Apartment, you will be greeted by a bright and spacious area thanks to the abundance of windows allowing light to flood in. The entire apartment has high ceilings and white-painted wooden floors, which adds to the feel of spaciousness. Tastefully decorated in a modern contemporary style, its fixtures and fittings give a nod to the space's earlier industrial use.

At the rear of the apartment is where you will find the enormous open-plan living, dining and office area.

The living room area is furnished with a large comfortable corner sofa and coffee table, an ultra-modern chaise lounge, and a large flat-screen smart television. It features a reading area on a raised platform, allowing you to relax and gaze through the windows across the streets of London. The dining area has a dining table that comfortably seats six people but is also very useful as a workspace. Mismatched dining chairs aid the industrial vibe.

The fully equipped kitchen is bright and light with sleek, modern, glossy units and high-tech appliances. Whether you are creating a quick snack or a gourmet meal, you will find everything you need in this beautiful and functional space.

At the front of the apartment, you will find the Master Bedroom. It is beautifully furnished with a King-Sized bed, a comfortable armchair and a rather delightful feature is the high bistro table and stools that allow you to sip your morning coffee and admire the views of London. A brightly coloured geometric designed partition leads to a separate wardrobe dressing area with fitted wardrobes, a cheval mirror and an added single bed.

Bedroom two is reached from the living area and features a comfortable single bed, coffee table and plump, comfortable armchair with reading light behind.

Both bedrooms have Jack and Jill access to the bathroom, which features a walk-in shower, bathtub, vanity unit with basin and WC.

Although Wren Apartment benefits from enormous double-aspect windows, privacy and comfort are provided by blinds in the living area and black-out blinds in both bedrooms.

Location

About the surrounding area of Wren Apartment

Known for its artistic and creative atmosphere, with plenty of attractions, you will always be interested in Shoreditch.

Famous for its street art scene, with colourful and unique graffiti adorning many of its walls, you need to wander through the surrounding streets to discover impressive murals and urban art installations by well-known artists. Who knows? You may even find a Banksy or a Thierry Noir!

Not far from Wren Apartment is the well-known Brick Lane. A bustling street it is famous for its diverse culinary options, vintage shops, markets and curry houses. On a Sunday, Brick Lane market offers a mix of street food, vintage clothing and antiques.

Back in 2011, Shoreditch was the place where Boxpark launched its first pop-up shopping mall. This place is definitely different from your run-of-the-mill shopping centre! Built from shipping containers, it effortlessly fuses the concepts of the modern street food market and pop-up shopping. Its unique approach to shopping offers a variety of familiar and independent brands along with the convenience of stopping for a bite to eat.

Continuing the trendy and hip vibe, nearby, you will find The Old Truman Brewery. Now a creative space, it hosts various events, markets, art exhibitions, and food festivals.

Have you noticed a theme here? The Shoreditch Street Food Market is the place for foodies to go. Here, you will find a wide range of international cuisines and is the perfect spot to try out unique dishes and flavours.

Although Shoreditch has everything to offer and can be explored on foot, those who would like to travel further afield and visit some of London's iconic landmarks, Old Street, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch high street stations are all nearby and offer access to both the rail and underground network systems.

Approximately two miles south of Shoreditch is The Tower of London, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Found on the north bank of the river Thames, it was originally constructed by William the Conqueror after his conquest in 1066. Over the centuries, it has had many uses, including a Royal residence, a prison, an armoury, a treasury and even a menagerie. Today, it is an iconic attraction that functions as an armoury, housing a vast collection of weapons, armour, and military equipment. The Crown Jewels have been kept at the Tower of London since the 17th century. They are displayed in the Jewel House, which is heavily guarded and is still a popular attraction for tourists. For visitors interested in its slightly gory past, you will learn about the many high-profile prisoners and executions, such as Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's second wife.

Luxury self-catering holiday accommodation in London

London, the beating heart of the United Kingdom, is not just a city, it is a full-blown party of history, culture, fine dining and modern pizzazz! Nestled alongside the meandering River Thames, London seamlessly blends tradition, innovation and entertainment, inviting you to join the fun. So, book an Oliver’s Travels luxury pad and let the adventure begin!

Buckingham Palace, home to the British monarch, is a symbol of grandeur and tradition. You are invited to the Changing of the Guard ceremony, the hottest ticket in town. Red-coated soldiers, military bands and a regal atmosphere, it is a quintessential London experience that will have you feeling like royalty in no time.

Just a skip and a jump away, you will discover the Houses of Parliament. Big Ben, their time-keeping maestro, is the star of the show, with its towering clock face eternally reminding everyone that time flies when you are having fun in London. Next door, Westminster Abbey is the Gothic VIP section, hosting royal weddings, coronations and the final resting place of the who’s who of British history.

The River Thames looks so pretty at night. Tower Bridge, the city's showstopper, with its neo-Gothic towers and suspended walkways, opens up like a welcoming embrace for passing ships. The views are so breathtaking you will be glad of the front row seat.

The South Bank of the Thames offers the Tate Modern, once a power station, now a contemporary art playground and an impressive visual feast. Shakespeare's Globe Theatre is a time machine, whisking you back to the Elizabethan era with performances that will make you laugh, cry and wonder why ruffs ever went out of style.

For the fancy folk who like a touch of class, the West End is calling. The Royal Opera House, where drama meets elegance, and Piccadilly Circus, where lights meet excitement promise a theatrical cocktail of opera, drama, musicals and comedy, the kind of party you will not forget.

London's neighbourhoods are like the cool kids in this global bash. Shoreditch, the hipster haven, is decked out in street art, trendy boutiques and a nightlife that will keep you dancing until dawn. Camden, the alternative kaleidoscope, is a treasure trove of eclectic finds while Chelsea is super cool and super sophisticated.

London has you covered with green spaces that are like chill-out zones for the soul. Hyde Park, with its sprawling lawns and serene lakes, invites you to kick back and relax. Regent's Park and Hampstead Heath offer postcard-worthy views that will make you the envy of your Instagram followers.

Let’s not forget the food - London's gastronomic fiesta! From the fragrant stalls of Borough Market to the Michelin-starred restaurants in Mayfair, it offers a culinary adventure for every taste bud. You cannot leave without experiencing the quintessential British delight, afternoon tea. Delicate sandwiches, scones and a variety of teas, it is the perfect pitstop in this non-stop party.

London is the city that knows how to blend its rich past with the electric beat of the present. Its landmarks, attractions and activities create a vibrant tapestry, inviting you to explore. Whether you are strutting down the bustling shopping streets, visiting a museum or finding zen in its green spaces, London's magnetic charm leaves an indelible mark on all who encounter its boundless allure.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids

There is so much for kids to do in London, and many attractions are free, such as museums and art galleries.

In nearby Bethnal Green, the recently revamped and renamed Young V&A opened its doors again on 1st July 2023. Formerly known as the V&A Museum of Childhood, it is a fascinating place to visit for both adults and children. Prepare yourself for a trip down memory lane, and don't be surprised if you find yourself saying, "I had one of those!" Still housed in the grand barrel-vaulted hall, once used to house displays from The Great Exhibition of 1851, it has a totally new look. Kids will love that kids were consulted in the redesign, and it now flaunts a wealth of interactive elements centred around three galleries – Play, Imagine and Design.

Imagine the fun your kids will have creating their own Minecraft version of a town square, getting on stage in a performance and storytelling space, frolicking in a sandpit or performing tricks at a finger skateboard park. The motto here is "Do Touch"! The best part? Admission is Free.

Enjoy amazing 360-degree views over London from the London Eye, the world's tallest cantilevered observation wheel. This special engineering achievement has become a symbol of the modern capital and a world-famous icon of architecture. While riding the London Eye, you can see up to 40 kilometres on a clear day and at an impressive 135 metres high, you'll be able to spot some of the capital's most iconic landmarks and top attractions, including Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace. Did you know that the London Eye has 32 pods, each representing one of London's 32 boroughs? It takes approximately 30 minutes and gives you an ever-changing perspective of London.
