It’s the small things that matter. Every corner, every detail, every element of this stunning villa has been carefully thought about, resulting in a truly calming, romantic atmosphere where you can enjoy every moment with your loved ones. Roditris is a beautiful example of blending traditional Cycladic architecture with contemporary design, resulting in a charming space that anyone would be happy to call home.
Throughout the villa, the rooms offer white walls, blue windows frames, soft furnishings and carefully considered lighting, making some spaces light and airy, whilst other feel intimate and cosy. Even the taps and sinks have been beautifully designed, making every small task a pleasure.
There is a bright, open-plan living space including the fully-equipped kitchen, a laid-back dining area and soft built-in seating where you can sit back chatting with your friends or family long into the evening. Each window frames a new view, whether it is across the vineyards or to the famous church Mother Mary or even the Aegean Sea in the distance.
Through the rest of the villa, there are two lovely king-size bedrooms, both with extremely comfortable mattresses that you can sink down into after busy days exploring Santorini. The only thing to wake you up each morning is the natural sunlight shining in through each window, before you step outside, drinking a morning coffee whilst gazing out across the countryside.
At the back of the villa, the interiors open out onto a charming private patio, a pool has been sunk down into the floor, cool in the summer months and heated in the winter, a welcoming treat with two hydro-massage seats, perfect for letting the last of your worries melt away. There are deck chairs and plenty of outdoor seating, so you can all gather together enjoying the sounds of nature around you and the near-constant sunshine.
Roditris offers an idyllic balance, located in a completely private and tranquil setting, away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist towns, yet still being only a 30-minute walk from Oia and less than 15-minutes from the black sandy shores of the beach. You can enjoy quiet evenings in over homecooked meals eaten outdoors by candlelight, followed by a lively evening in the town, dining on Grecian delicacies, learning new recipes to treat yourself to at home!
What you should know…
- The villa is located just a short walk from the beach and a 30-minute walk from the winding streets of Oia, perfect for exploring nearby
- We would definitely recommend a boat trip to the volcano, if you rent a car, you can make your way there, before climbing in a boat exploring the craters and hot springs, maybe even swimming in the warm salty water at the base
- Please be aware that several of Santorini’s towns have narrow winding streets and steep steps, so if you are travelling with a push chair, it can be a challenge to get around

Location
About the surrounding area of RoditrisLocated in a quiet spot on the popular island of Santorini, you really can’t go wrong staying at Roditris. Situated on the outskirts of Oia, you benefit from the serene atmosphere of the countryside, all whilst being only a 30-minute walk from the bustling streets of the town. Santorini has been a popular destination for families and friends for years, inviting tourists to explore the dramatic ocean views, breath-taking beaches, famous sunsets, traditional Grecian architecture and fabulous local wineries. Spread across the island there is a mix of traditional Grecian tavernas, fine-dining restaurants and international cuisine, offering something for everyone, and something different for every day of your holiday. During peak seasons, the towns can become busy with visitors, so staying in a quieter area is a great option!
Roditris itself is located within the beautiful countryside, just a few minutes’ drive or a 30-minute walk from the popular town of Oia. The views from the villa sweep out across the vineyards with the blue of the sea visible on the horizon. There are three minimalist villas located together, all with their own privacy and views, yet if you do happen to be travelling in a larger group, you have the option to rent more than one of the properties. This peaceful setting is an escape from the hustle and bustle, perfect for those looking to enjoy a slower pace of life.
Oia is probably most well-known for it’s a sunset, casting the sky into a kaleidoscope of colours each evening! Although you will get a view from the villa, we highly recommend that you take yourself into the town, buying a local bottle of wine to share as you watch the last of the sun go down, soaking in the mystical colours that sweep through the sky. The town is formed by whitewashed houses carved into the rugged clifftops that shoot up out of the sea. The houses form a maze of local shops, restaurants, cafes and bars that you can amble around, enjoying the lively atmosphere as a contrast from the tranquillity of the villa. With supermarkets, bakeries and shops, everything you need can be found in Oia.
When staying at Roditris, you are lucky enough to have a beach within a short walk of your front door. Located on the other side of the island from Oia, you can enjoy the sandy shores and refreshing sea each day. There are plenty more beaches to explore across the island, with black pebble beaches as well as a sandy coastline, so make sure you visit a few!

Best Suited For: All AgesRoditris is a great little villa for families, with a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy time together outdoors and a small kitchen and living area, all open-plan so you can easily spend quality time with your loved ones. The two bedrooms both offer large king-size beds that make even little kids feel like one of adults as they sink down into the soft mattresses each evening, tired from exploring the island! The tranquil location is perfect after busy days out on the beaches and in the towns, offering respite for families away from the crowds. The villa is just a short walk from the closest beach, and a 30-minute walk or 3-minute drive from Oia, so you parents don’t need to worry about loads kids in and out of cars all the time.
Santorini is well-known as a romantic honeymoon location, with fine-dining restaurants and wineries that are better suited to the adult generation. However, plenty of families visit each year, with accessible sights and experiences dotted across the island, perfect for kids to enjoy. With beautiful beaches, volcanoes and historical sights there is so much to learn and see, any children will be in wonderland!
Often the beaches across the island are made up of black volcanic sand, often a new experience for our younger visitors to see. We would recommend shoes for kids, as the sand can get extremely hot in the summer sun and they will need their feet protected! With plenty of beaches and swimming pools, the swimming opportunities are endless, as well as various places to enjoy snorkelling and water sports – always popular with the young ones!
If you are travelling with children, then we would definitely recommend a boat tour of the volcano. The tour shows you the craters that have formed over years and even gives you the change to swim in the hot springs, enjoy the warm salty sea water that has been heated by the volcano above! There are lots of boats going, plenty with other families on board, so your kids can learn about the natural history of the island!

An amazing stay!
Came on our honeymoon and stayed 4 amazing nights in our own gorgeous villa! The location is great- you can walk to the winery down the street and you’re a 5 minute drive from all the action in Oía, but don’t have the hassle of dealing with all the people when you’re ready to relax. Close to the beach as well. We woke up to breakfast every morning with a lovely view. Yota was very helpful, definitely make time to have a drink and chat with her because she is the true star.
