This friendly villa in Puglia provides incomparable views over the Adriatic Sea from its hilltop location within a rocky outcropping near Bari and Brindisi. Though its seclusion allows for complete privacy and relaxation, it’s ideally situated to exploring renowned beaches, ancient towns and incredible cuisine nearby.
Benefiting from a substantial upgrade in 2018/9, inviting common spaces are fitted with lovely furnishings. You’ll find thoughtful excellent amenities throughout every corner. The main kitchen is big enough to host the group, or enjoy a catered meal by the private chef available for hire. Eight bedrooms represent both elegance and comfort, three masters even benefit from their own sofas.
Descend the steps into your private outdoor oasis, where a pool offers relaxation with a view. Have breakfast in the lush gardens and dinner on the covered terrace set for twenty. With the many terraces, pagodas, and lounge furniture, you’ll find it easy to spend the whole day outside.
Within a few minutes drive you’ll find yourself in the centre of local tourist attractions. Make sure to visit the famous trulli homes!

- The villa benefited from a substantial internal upgrade in 2018/9, though please note some photographs were taken beforehand
- The pool hours are 9am to 7pm (night swimming is strictly prohibited according to new Italian law)
- A car is recommended due to the villa’s location - and be sure to follow the owner’s directions, rather than the GPS

Villa Silva is a beautiful retreat for up to 16 guests and, upon request, there is space for 2 children. This 8 bedroom villa is ideal for large groups of friends or extended family.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa SilvaVilla Silva’s prime location offers easy access to endless beaches, Mediterranean climate and exquisite cuisine. The villa is in the central point of all the interesting tourist attractions.
There is so much to enjoy of Puglia. History from Roman times is evident in its extraordinary array of architecture. If there is one symbol of Puglia that stands out, it is the imposing castles and mystical 'trulli' houses that are built all over the province.
There are many delightful towns within close proximity to Villa Silva. They all have an authentic Italian feel with year round street festas, weekly market days and charming old centres dating back hundreds of years.
Only a few kilometres down the hill is Fasano, a beautiful ancient town which was subject to the Knights of Malta for many years. The hills, Selva di fasano, are a naturally wooded area rich in oak trees and perfect for stunning country walks.
A few kilometers' drive into the interior are the towns of Ostuni, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Locorotondo and Alberobello.
Ostuni is an exquisite town known as the White City because of its white-washed streets surrounded by medieval walls. A visit is highly recommended. Martina Franca is a town with a tangible Moorish flavour. It has a medieval centre adorned with some of the best examples of baroque architecture that you'll find.
Cisternino and Locorotondo are both small, charming towns with whitewashed historic centers obviously influenced by the Greeks. Guests can view the Valle d'itria from there and some of Puglia's prettiest landscapes.
Of course the Trulli have always been an important tourist attraction for Puglia. Their intrinsic beauty has captured the hearts and souls of many. Alberobello is also only a short drive from the apartments, and there guests can view over a thousand of these magical limestone dwellings standing out against the bright blue sky. They create a beautiful exotic scene, almost like a fairy tale. It is impossible to see anything like it anywhere else in the world.
Also just a few kilometres away is the zoo/safari Fasanolandia. This is the greatest animal park in Italy where thousands of animals can be observed free in a completely protected area. There is also a dolphinarium and an amusement park for all ages.
There is a selection of different beaches on the Adriatic shores in close proximity to Villa Silva, and because of its prime location guests also have the choice of the Ionian Sea, around forty minutes away. The nearest beaches include; Savelletri (10 mins), Torre Canne (15 mins) and Capitol.
The most important thing is that these coastlines offer a very clean natural environment where guests can soak in the warm Mediterranean sun and enjoy the feel of the sand, the sight of the sea and the sound of the surf.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Silva is a haven for your children and therefore for you! The secure grounds provide all sorts of entertainment, and the lovely pool doesn't need much intro. From walking into the village for ice creams to adventures on bikes to the fabulous beaches we have it all.
There is, of course, child-friendly culture in small doses- caves and castles as well as numerous dvds for quiet moments. And don't forget our very own Zoo Safari that my children ( very grown up now ) still love as well as the Aqua Park.
And most importantly as we know Italians love children well move that up a notch in Southern Italy. Eating out with family is essential, and children are welcome everywhere you go with open arms quite literally.

Guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit. |

Second visit
This was our second visit to this simply stunning villa! As you arrive you are immediately greeted with the most stunning view which is alone a reason not to leave. From there the surprises get better and better the food, the pool, the newly updated rooms, the Italian decor all adds to the charm! Can’t wait to come back!

It's simply a must!
Just returned from a mini break - stayed at Villa Silva. Absolutely beautiful! Only 20 mins from Brindisi airport and 15mins from the coast. Perfectly positioned.
The Villa is tastefully decorated and so very comfortable. Everything you could possibly need has been thought of. Fab pool with pool towels & dedicated shower.
Private chef available (she was fabulous), ideas for where to visit and places to eat in abundance.

Spectacular villa with gorgeous view!
15 of us (6 adults and 9 children) stayed at Villa Silvana for the last week of August. It is an absolutely beautiful villa with a view looking all the way down to the sea. The villa is very well appointed and has lots of different areas (“boardgame terrace”, “drinks terrace”) for a big group to relax with lots of space. The pool is large and has welcome shade when it’s hot! The owner arranged for us to have catering for 3 nights and the chefs were excellent - cooking delicious meals and clearing up afterwards. Highly recommend going to the Butcher’s in the village for supper! Villa Silvana is well located for local beaches and to explore the gorgeous local towns. Locorotondo is a must!

We spent a super week!
My wife and I were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary there. Our entire family was with us. We were 15 in our group coming from three different countries. The location of Villa Silvana, the layout of the property and the decoration of the rooms were all what we had hoped for and even more. One of the highlights was the daily "Happy Hour" on the top floor of the building with a magnificent view over the valley and the Adriatic Sea. The fact that our group consisted of 3 generations ranging from 5 years to 80 years was no problem. There was something to do for everyone. There are so many things to do and visit in nearby charming towns and places. We definitely would love to come back to Villa Silvana one day in the future.

Perched on a wooded hillside
Villa Silva met and exceeded all our expectations. The villa itself is spectacular: perched on a wooded hillside above the Adriatic Sea with its own superb pool.
The area around the villa is a wonderful mixture of all the best Italy has to offer:
Fascinating and historic towns, amazing beaches, wonderful food everywhere and a real revelation - Puglian wines.

Breathtaking Views, a beautiful home
What an amazing villa, I stayed with my family in June 2016 for a delicious week in Puglia. Everything was the highest standard possible. It was ideal for all ages from 1year old to 70 plus. The views are spectacular and the pool is perfect. Would definitely recommend. Wonderful hosts, Wonderful home.

Fantastic luxury retreat
This spacious villa is set in rural Puglia, with wonderful panoramic views of the countryside and sea beyond.It is beautifully quiet and perfect for large parties of family or friends to get together for a special time together. The villa, pool and surrounding grounds are maintained to a very high standard - there are several outdoor dining areas and the design allows for privacy and relaxation. We enjoyed relaxing by the large pool, eating al fresco and exploring the local villages. We also took advantage of the chefs who cooked us two very special 4 course dinners using the best local produce. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, allowing us time to settle in and being on hand if we needed any information. We shall certainly return!

The perfect villa for a group of families
We spent a week in the luxurious Villa Silva with 2 other families; there were 6 adults and 8 children in total and we all had a fantastic time without exception. Michael and Sue were very helpful and it is obvious that they have put an awful lot of thought and hard work into making the villa as well equipped and comfortable as possible. The pool area was particularly well used and the views out to the coast are amazing. We had the chef come in and cook for us twice which was well worth doing - she also made lasagna for all the kids on those nights and showed us how to make orecchiette pasta - everything was delicious.
I would highly recommend the property to anyone that wants to spend some time exploring Puglia whilst enjoying some luxury accommodation and we will almost certainly return. -

We can't thank you enough for a wonderful two weeks in your beautifully appointed and lavish villa. As four families holidaying together, the unique layout of Villa Silva allowed for terrific fun times together over meals and by the pool but also for quiet private times when appropriate.
A real enhancement to our experience was your genuine interest in our best possible experience of the Villa and local services available to use. All of your recommendations and bookings made kindly on our behalf were outstanding.

Spacious and luxurious. Beautifully presented.
The villa is beautifully furnished and renovated to an exceptionally high standard. It is spacious and welcoming with delightful artwork and majestic furniture. The rooms are warm and inviting giving the guest both privacy and collective engagement. The swimming pool is immaculately clean as are all the common areas, kitchens and bathrooms. The location is stunning with views over the coastal plain to the east. The villa is privately situated and quiet allowing for the odd passing vehicle. Sunrise welcomes the guest on all the terraces and the swimming pool is a sun- trap until well into the late afternoon. The villa is well appointed with kitchens and bathrooms allowing privacy even for high guest numbers ( 15 males in our case ) All in all a delightful and enjoyable home. Wanted to stay longer of course. Thank you Michael and Susannah! Hope to return to the Villa Silva very soon.

A beautiful villa, in a lovely area, that accommodated sixteen of us comfortably. It was clean & very well equipped.
The pool area was spacious & comfortable for all with luxurious sunbeds.

Fantastic property for lifelong memories!
Villa Silva is a very well maintained and stocked property.
We spent 2 weeks as a group of 4 families in the house and we had a great time.
The location is perfect to explore Puglia, the house is very pleasant, the pool is wonderful and the view is breathtaking.
Sue and Michael are great hosts, always there when you need them but very discreet the rest of the time.
