What you should know…
- Children are very welcome at Villa Anghiari. Babysitting can be booked 24 hours ahead, and nannies with a week's notice. The pool has a shallow section along with toys and inflatables
- Breakfast is included in the villa rental and will be delivered every morning. You can choose a Western breakfast with freshly baked bread, jams, yoghurt, fruit and drinks or Thai with congee or soup, juices, coffee and tea. Private chefs can be booked for poolside barbecues or custom feasts, though you must book in advance. Room service is also available
- The villa has a dedicated wine fridge. If you want your regular fridge stocked with anything in particular for an extra charge, you can request this. The locally distilled rum goes down a treat!
- The villa is nestled into the hillside, and with its various levels, it is not ideal for those with mobility issues
- The cinema room can be used as an additional sleeping space

About the surrounding area of Villa AnghiariThe beachfront Villa Anghiari is nestled on the hillside along with three other villas in the peaceful, upmarket neighbourhood of Plai Laem. It is only a twenty-minute drive from the airport, so you will be relaxing in no time! There are panoramic views over to the tiny isle of Koh Som and out to Koh Phang Nga.
Koh Samui enjoys excellent beaches, colourful cultural attractions, delicious local food, idyllic islands and many special events. Temple Fairs are regularly held to recognize important days in the Buddhist calendar. The temple's grounds are transformed into mini-festivals with fairground rides and games for visitors to enjoy.
Koh Samui's gilded and serene Big Buddha sitting at the top of a ceremonious staircase at Wat Phra Yai, the mummified monks at Wat Khunaram, the captivating Wat Khao Hua Jook temple, Hin Lat Waterfall, the Secret Buddha Garden, Fisherman's Village, Bophut and the incredible rock formations of Hin Ta and Hin Yai are all within effortless reach of the villa. The Wat Teepankorn temple is located on a mountain-top near Lamai and can be reached by taking an off-road tour. The towering Buddha statue and panoramic views at the top are fabulous. The Secret Buddha Garden sits atop the Tar Nim Waterfall peak and boasts majestic views and an impressive collection of statues. The gardens were created by Nim Thongsuk, an old Samui fruit farmer who erected statues and temples around his family's land and continued until his death at 91. Each statue has a fascinating story to tell.
Boat rides to the Ang Thong National Marine Park or to Koh Nang Yuan, picturesque islands with large sandbars and live coral, are trendy. You can hike, snorkel, kayak or dive around the Ang Thong and discover the incredible scenic beauty of the islands. You may enjoy sightings of dusky leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, leopard cats, wild boar and otters, alongside flocks of exotic birds and rainbow shoals of fish. Another popular excursion is to Koh Phangan, Thailand's fifth-largest island, known for its raucous half-moon and full-moon parties. Every Friday, the village becomes a lively Walking Street market, the perfect place to pick souvenirs and taste street food. The cinema room goes down a treat when little ones are tired after a busy day sightseeing. The pool is a big plus, and the private beach is just a few steps away.
Close by, you will discover Choeng Mon Beach, Bang Rak Beach, Plai Laem Beach and Chaweng Beach. Chaweng is Koh Samui's most famous beach. There are plenty of eateries and beach bars, lifeguards on duty and facilities to hire umbrellas and sunbeds, so all you need to worry about is having a great day with the family. Children love rides on the speedy banana boat or splashing about onboard a paddle boat for some water fun. You will discover Aquapark Samui, a giant inflatable park on the sea with a range of fun and challenging obstacles, including a five-metre-high iceberg, a catapult, a spinning log bridge, slides, trampolines and a hamster wheel. Children have a great time climbing, sliding, bouncing and balancing.
Samui Canopy Adventures is very popular, where children can uniquely explore the luscious rainforest canopy. The zip line route takes them across eighteen platforms, reaching up to fifty miles per hour. The views of the rainforest, waterfalls and wildlife are spectacular.
The Pink Elephant Samui Water Park is always a hit, too. It boasts a variety of slides for all ages, a long winding lazy river, a fun wave pool and designated play areas for the little ones. There is also a jacuzzi area with a bar where adults can relax. Other popular attractions include mini-golf and the fabulous Cocosplash Waterpark in Lamai. Island hopping is excellent.
You can visit the sensational Ang Thong National Marine Park, Koh Taen, Koh Madsum, and lovely trips to Koh Phangan by catamaran. The Ang Thong National Marine Park was established in 1980. It boasts towering limestone mountains, thick jungle, white sandy beaches, stunning waterfalls, hidden coves and beautiful lakes. A trip to the marine park can include snorkelling, hiking, sea kayaking, diving and climbing.

THE best Villa in Samui
Vila Anghiari, just remember this name and add it to your bucket list, it’s THE best Villa in Samui. I have stayed for a few days at this amazing property and couldn’t leave!
Stepping through the entrance, I was immediately struck by the beautiful and friendly team, very welcoming atmosphere, the location is fantastic.
The staff were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful.
