The living space features a flatscreen TV for your entertainment, and the whole villa has a WiFi connection, allowing you to stay in contact with family and friends who weren’t lucky enough to join you!
Villa Blanes offers plenty of space for preparing meals for the whole group during your stay, with a well-equipped kitchen complete with a stylish breakfast bar - a great spot for sitting and enjoying a morning coffee or for keeping the designated cook company while they rustle up something delicious. The villa also features five spacious bathrooms with shower facilities for your convenience - so there should be no queues for getting ready in the morning!

About the surrounding area of Villa BlanesVila Blanes is located in a quiet and beautiful location near Ciutadella, which guidebooks often refer to as ‘Menorca’s prettiest city.’ The former island capital is a great base for day trips to the local beaches and other highlights of the island and is famous for its historic harbour, street art culture and gentle buzzing nightlife. The pastel-hued streets make a refreshing change from the typical white-washed towns of the region and are dotted with little shops and delis where you can pick up some local produce to enjoy back at the villa. Oliver recommends heading down to the marina during your stay, where you’ll find a variety of cafes and restaurants serving up delicious fare to suit all tastes and budgets, as well as offering spectacular views.
From the harbour, you’ll be able to book boat trips to explore more of the coastline - including a full-day trip lunch and a unique swimming and snorkelling experience on a 10-metre wooden sailboat. It’s worth knowing that highly-rated and affordable trips are incredibly popular, so it’s worth booking early so that you don’t miss out!
Lovers of history and architecture are sure to want to visit the city’s 14th-century cathedral during their stay, especially as it’s considered an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the city. Built atop an old mosque, the cathedral is one of the most beautiful on the island, bursting with light, decorative elements, and beautiful stained glass windows that create colourful patterns on the stone when the sun streams through. Guests should note that the entrance fee includes access to the cloisters - so be sure to hold on to your ticket once you’ve entered the cathedral. Admission for children under the age of 12 is free, and ‘appropriate dress and behaviour’ is required, as the cathedral is an active place of worship.
Playa Cala Blanca is the main beach here, a golden sandy stretch that is a fabulous location for enjoying some of the best sunsets in the Med and a great spot for spending a day soaking up the sun. The beach is popular with families thanks to its warm, calm, clear waters, soft sands, and amenities that include sun-lounger and umbrella hire, as well as with those who love to snorkel! There are plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants nearby for refreshments, as well as gift shops - and even an Irish pub!

THE REGION
Ciutadella's historical city is located on Menorca's extreme west coast. It used to be the capital of culture and commerce in Menorca, and although it has not been this for a long while, it is still a very attractive city with a wonderful heritage and real appeal.
Visit Es Born, the historic part of the city. If you like culture and historic churches, medieval-looking streets all accompanied by traditional Spanish restaurants, make sure you take a look on your stay. The mix is perfect with most tastes in music catered and perfect for late-night entertainment.
Ciutadella doesn't have its own beach, but just 3 kilometres away are the small beaches of Cala Santandria and Sa Caleta and further afield are Cala'n Blanes, Cala'n Forcat, Cala Blanca and Cala'n Bosch.

Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Blanes is a homely and welcoming environment for children, with plenty of room for chilling out and dining with the family both inside and out, as well as familiar home comforts such as flatscreen TV and WiFi - so keeping them entertained while you’re cooking or getting ready for the day ahead is easy. The villa features a cosy twin bedroom that is perfect for older children, and a cot (and highchair!) are available for the very youngest guests, making your stay less stressful if you’re travelling with a baby under two.
Parents should be aware that the staircase within the villa has widely spaced stairs, so younger children who are not very steady on their feet will need to be well-supervised.
Outside, the kids are sure to enjoy the spectacular views, so if they enjoy painting or photography, be sure to pack their camera and art supplies so that they can flex their creative muscles. The private pool is bound to be a big hit, although it is worth noting that it is unfenced, so children will need to be well-supervised at all times.
Villa Blanes is perfectly placed for enjoying a fun and relaxing holiday with the kids, with direct access to the beach - perfect for little legs! Here you’ll find a golden sandy cove with clear, calm waters that offer the perfect spot for a day of swimming, snorkelling and sandcastle-building!
If you want to venture further out and explore the surrounding areas, you’ll find plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy. Within easy walking distance, there are lots of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and budgets, so it’s easy to find somewhere to enjoy eating as a family. The city of Ciutadella is full of historical sites for the kids to explore, including the Fortaleza de la Mola, a 19th-century fortress that is a popular attraction with families. This fascinating, imposing structure is a great place to bring younger children, where they are welcome to run around and explore. Oliver recommends visiting in the early morning or late in the afternoon if you are visiting with kids, as the temperature can soar around midday, and there are few shaded areas.

Parfaitement équipée
Endroit magnifique, première ligne, juste au dessus de la calla. Possibilité de venir avec le tender directement en bas des escaliers de la maison. Piscine à débordement, donnant directement au dessus de la calla, maison contemporaine, parfaitement équipée, air confitionné centralisé (sauf dans la chambre du bas) propre, bien aménagée, jardin bien entretenu.
