Beginning your day on the terrace, fresh orange juice in hand, as you look out over the sweeping views. And ending it by cooking up a feast on the outdoor barbeque. Bliss, right? It’s this all day enviable vacation life that makes Villa Alaia the idyllic spot to escape to the Spanish sun.                           

This relaxed, blissful nature is obvious in the layout of the home as it is spread over two levels with a living room, dining room and additional living space across the floors. The open plan lounge and dining room create an inclusive, luxuriating atmosphere whether you are dining or relaxing on the couch. And if you want time all together watching television in the lounge, that has enough couch space for everyone on vital holiday movie nights. Or, perhaps you want some quiet time in the other lounge that offers a smaller, solitary option. The kitchen is equipped with all of the essentials such as a gas hob and gas oven, a microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator-freezer, coffee machine, toaster and a juicer.

The bedrooms in this villa are all bright and airy, there are three bedrooms each with two single beds, a double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. Thankfully there are enough bathrooms to save arguments and long waits with three bathrooms, one with a single washbasin and bath, another with a single washbasin, bath and toilet and another with a double washbasin and bath. There is also a guest toilet.

There really is space for the whole clan at this villa.

This spacious feel flows to the outdoors with a covered patio complete with two dining sets and a pool with loungers for those keen sunbathers. The garden is gravel and lined with trees for some much-needed shade from the afternoon sun.

Again, if you seek solitude sneak up to the roof terrace to savour the last of the sun.

All of this is situated in a residential beach area, just 500m from the beach and close to restaurants, bars, shops and supermarkets.

Located along the Costa Blanca strip of the Mediterranean, Moraira is an upmarket beach town with beautiful beaches, a marina and boulevards with excellent restaurants, bars and shops. The restaurants include three Michelin star rated options. While the town has grown from a small fishing village into a popular holiday resort, it has retained the charm of a relaxing town and has many small, unspoilt villages and beaches to explore.

Moraira has ideal and typical Mediterranean climate. Cool sea breezes give much-needed respite on hot summer days, and the surrounding mountains offer shelter against any cold winds coming from the North in the winter. Though the area is rarely without sun all year round, as the area averages 3,000 hours of sunshine each year. No surprises, this weather has been named one of the most equitable in the world by the World Health Organisation in 1986.

The two closest sandy beaches both have EEC Blue Flags for cleanliness and are safe for family bathing. So, while the kids paddle and swim, parents can watch from shore, comfortable that the children are safe.

If you want to roam further afield, there are plenty of day excursion options within driving distance such as Javea, Calpe, Denia, Altea and Benidorm that are all within a 40-minute drive.

The nearest airport, Alicante, is just over an hour’s drive from the villa and the second nearest airport, Valencia, is over 100 kilometres away.

Of course, the private pool will be a hit with the children and at just over one metre deep, it is a safe depth for children of all ages to play in. The small things are also sure to keep the kids entertained, like the bunk beds, Cable TV and the internet.

If the kids start to get cabin fever, there are options in Moraira to keep them entertained such as tennis courts, football, water sports, boat hire, go-kart racing, horse-riding and a small fairground - which is fun whether you are a kid or a big kid at heart. Equally as entertaining for all ages is the Eighteenth-century castle that is right by the shore.

There are also day excursions in the area for the whole family, including the Vergel Safari Park, which is near Denia and just a 40-minute drive from Moraira.
