Overview
Occupying a privileged position overlooking El Portet Beach, which guests have direct access to, this stunning villa is the perfect place to relax around the pool and enjoy uninterrupted views out over the sea.
Constructed in traditional Spanish style, Villa Ferr is arranged over three levels, making the most of its splendid vantage point. The main entrance opens into a spacious living room, with two sofas facing large sliding doors, which can be left open to enjoy a fresh sea breeze. This central space leads through a dining area to the rustic kitchen, typically decorated with vibrant tiles and wooden cabinets. Homely and practical, the kitchen has plenty of equipment for cooking, and a small breakfast bar is positioned beside the fireplace, making a perfect spot for taking a morning coffee.
Accessed from both the living and dining area, the covered terrace features a large dining table perfect for enjoying long, leisurely lunches beneath the shade whilst looking out to the views across the coast. Or make the most of the warm evenings and head down to the barbecue, where you can grill some fresh fish and enjoy a delicious meal outside with the whole family. The lower outdoor kitchen also has a pantry and paellero for making paella if you fancy trying your hand at the traditional Spanish dish.
The bedrooms are found on the upper floor, accessed via an internal staircase. A large room with a double bed opens out onto a balcony, inviting you to wake up and take in the glorious views over the sea or enjoy an intimate glass of wine whilst watching the evening light fade. Next door is the first bathroom on this level, with a bathtub perfect for a relaxing soak. Along the corridor, there are three further rooms, each with twin beds that have access to a shared bathroom. Two of the rooms also feature a balcony, making the most of the vista across the bay. The fifth bedroom is located on the ground floor, with a large double bed and access to the covered terrace in front of the living room, enjoying sea views from its picture frame window.
From the main living level, steps lead down to a lower terrace surrounded by high stone walls and tall leafy palms that give a sense of complete privacy. The outdoor pool is ideal for a refreshing swim, whilst a number of sun loungers line its edge inviting you to recline in comfort and soak up the sun's warmth. Other beds sit beneath a canopy, offering a more sheltered spot, and a series of in-built benches line the stone wall that wraps around the terrace perimeter.
What you should know…
- The pool is not enclosed by fencing or a cover, so young children should be supervised at all times

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa FerrPerched above the beautiful El Portet Beach, Villa Ferr occupies a unique position just moments from the beach and local town. From the terrace, a set of private stairs lead down to the shore, ideal if you want to go for an early morning swim before returning for a shower and some breakfast!
The charming beach of El Portet boasts clear blue waters and a curving stretch of sand bordered by a small promenade, with a handful of restaurants and bars inviting you to step off the beach and enjoy a refreshing drink in the shade. From the main beach, it is possible to join the scenic walk that leads out to the historic watchtower perched atop the Mount of Cap D'Or. Built in the 16th century, the defensive structure is 11m tall and built from a typical circular plan. Its strategic position on the cliff makes for a wonderful viewing point, providing a splendid perspective along the coastline and back to the bay.
It's possible to rent kayaks and paddle boards from the beach to explore the coastline and discover the rocky inlets and Jurassic-like cliffs. Paddle a little further around the headland to find the delightful, hidden Cala Llebeig. This abandoned cove was once used as a refuge after fishing trips and got its name from the pirates and smugglers that used it for trafficking goods such as tobacco and sugar.
The centre of Moraira is just a short walk away and is a lovely place that guests will enjoy! Recently developed in response to growing tourism, the Old Town remains a network of cobbled streets and whitewashed buildings, whilst the new marina and waterfront offer a variety of bars and restaurants. Stop for some lunch at locally-owned Pescador, which offers a delicious selection of freshly grilled fish for you to enjoy whilst watching the boats come into the moor. Or if you are after some tapas, head towards the castle to Terra Vian. This charming wine bar is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing evening, with friendly hosts, a super collection of wine and a quality menu of traditional plates.
Whilst the surrounding coastline has plenty to discover, the region also offers a splendid interior landscape. For a day out, El Castell de Guadalest is less than an hour's drive. Fortified by the moors, the mountain village is perched on a limestone crag high above the valley. Although the fortress is little more than ruins, you can walk through the Portal de Sant Josep and up the cobbled street to the square to enjoy the spectacular views across to the Sierra de Serella and reservoir hundreds of feet below. Before returning home, head down to the nearby village of Benimantell to the wonderful Venta la Montana restaurant, where you can sample delicious traditional plates made from local produce. Olleta de Blat is the area's speciality, or enjoy one of the typical, flavoured rice dishes that have long been a staple in this region. On your way back down the winding roads, look out for honey makers and the little artisans selling their wares!

With a curving stretch of sand and calm waters, the beach is perfect for paddling in the shallows. Or grab your goggles and snorkel to make the most of the incredibly clear sea and explore the rocky inlets and sea floor.
