Pool Villa/House Modern Ideal for Kids Walk to Beach Parking Space

Situated just moments from the coast in a quiet residential neighbourhood, this lovely modern villa is the ideal place to enjoy a comfortable stay and make the most of the sunny Costa Blanca region.

Arranged over three floors, the contemporary villa features large terraces on both levels, offering a number of places to sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. The main living area is located on the ground floor, where a spacious living-dining area receives plenty of natural light through the large glass doors that open out to the terrace beyond. To one end of the room, a comfortable sofa invites you to curl up with a book, escape the midday heat, draw the curtains in the evening, and settle in front of a movie. A dining table sits in the centre, whilst c well-equipped kitchen is found at the other end. Fitted with modern appliances, large sleek surfaces and a convenient breakfast bar, there is plenty of space to prepare meals throughout the day.

Tucked to the side of the terrace, guests will love the impressive outdoor kitchen. Shaded beneath a charming bamboo canopy are plenty of cook amenities, whilst a barbecue stove sits in the corner, inviting you to fire up the grill and cook some local fish bought from the market. Enjoy lunch beside the pool at the nearby table, or make the most of the balmy evenings and gather around the dining table at the front of the house to share an entertaining family dinner beneath the stars. An informal seating area is arranged nearby, with two sofas perfect for enjoying a cold glass of wine in the evening and watching the light fade over the surrounding landscape.

The outdoor pool sits beside a neat row of cypress trees, creating an enclosed, natural setting to enjoy a peaceful swim, and several sun loungers nearby are perfect for relaxing in the sun. There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off.

All of the bedrooms are bright and spacious, with minimal furnishings that echo the aesthetic of the rest of the house. The master bedroom is on the upper level, with a large French bed and a lovely ensuite bathroom. It also has access to a generous upper terrace with several well-positioned armchairs, perfect for waking up and enjoying the morning sun with a coffee. There are three further double rooms and another two bathrooms.

Accessed via a quiet residential road, the property enjoys a private driveway, so if you fancy a change from lazing the pool, it is easy to hop in the car and explore the local area.

Whilst enjoying a peaceful setting, Casa Piya is an easy 15-minute stroll down to the charming town and beaches of Moraira. Wander around the Old Town and explore the narrow cobbled streets where you can admire the traditional whitewashed houses, or head to the new marina to watch the sailing boats coming into the moor. Plenty of cafes and restaurants are lining the waterfront, as well as an elegant sailing clubhouse. Head to the locally-owned Pescador, where you can sit beside the water and enjoy a delicious plate of freshly grilled fish whilst watching the harbour's daily activities.

Slightly to the north of the town is the beautiful El Portet Bay, famed for its crystal-clear waters. A picturesque crescent of golden sand hugs the sea, where you can swim in the turquoise water or grab a snorkel and explore the sea bed. It is possible to hire kayaks and paddleboards from the beach to explore the surrounding cliffs and hidden inlets or paddle around the headland to the charming Cala Llebeigh. This hidden cove was once used as a refuge for fishing trips and pirates and smugglers that used it for trafficking goods. El Portet also marks the start of the short trail to the Mount of Cap D'Or, where you can see the historic 16th-century Watchtower and admire the beautiful views back towards the bay.

The surrounding coastline has a number of picturesque beaches and coves to explore, or you can hop in the car and head down to the larger city of Calp, Marked by the enormous Peñon de Ifach mountain, which gives the landscape its distinctive shape, Calp has a history dating back to the Valencian Bronze Age. A trail can take you to the summit of the 330m limestone cliff. The panoramic views from the top are advantageous during a challenging hike, leading through an impressive tunnel cut in the rock. Head down into the city, where you can explore Calp's old district, sampling traditional tapas or browsing artisan shops, or for a unique experience, head to the waterfront to visit the archaeological site of Baños de la Reina. Built between the 2nd and 4th centuries, the 'Banos' once served as the royal spa, and you can follow in the footsteps of the Queens and swim in the historic setting free of charge.

Whilst the coast has plenty to enjoy, the region's inner landscape also has a number of fascinating offerings. An hour's drive through the agricultural hillside will bring you to El Castell de Guadalest. Fortified by the Moors, the mountain village offered a strategic defensive position perched on a limestone crag high above the valley. Whilst there are only partial ruins of the medieval castle still visible, you can walk through the Portal de Sant Josep (a tunnel cut through the rock) to access the single cobbled street and wander up the village square to enjoy marvellous views across to the Sierra de Serella and reservoir hundreds of feet below.

There is also a cot and highchair for young children, and the large TV is perfect for setting the kids up in front of a movie in the evening whilst you enjoy a quieter moment over a bottle of wine on the terrace.

Located less than fifteen minutes' walk from the coast, spending the afternoon beside the sea is easy. Moraira's central beach, Playa de l'Ampolla, is great for young children, featuring a long stretch of golden sand and a gentle shoreline ideal for paddling. A handful of cafes, public facilities and two beachside playgrounds ensure everyone is looked after, and you can head up for an afternoon ice cream at one of the restaurants for a bit of shade. For older children, the nearby El Portet is a fantastic place to snorkel, and you can also rent kayaks and paddleboards to explore the rocky cliffs. Children will love Moraira's castle. Whilst the original was destroyed, you can explore an impressive reconstruction of the town's fortress, complete with a moat and drawbridge.

For those that enjoy a bit of competition, Karting Xavia is just 20 minute drive to the north, where you can speed around the circuit and race to see can get the fastest time. Alternatively, the vibrant city of Benidorm is 40 minutes to the south, with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore. Enjoy a walk in the iconic L'Aiguera Park and have a picnic on the grass beneath the trees, or head to the harbour to take a boat trip out to the Isla de Benidorm, which sits in the middle of the bay and which, according to locals represents the giant portion of rock missing from the summit of the nearby Mount Puig Campana. Little ferry boats called golodrinas (swallows) depart regularly, offering an excellent way to spend a fun afternoon on the water.
