Situated in a residential area just outside of Calpe, the spacious Can Bella Vista invites you to relax beside the pool whilst enjoying beautiful views over the surrounding mountains and down to the sea.
Arranged over three floors, Can Bella Vista is well-designed, with large rooms spilling out onto multiple terraces where guests can take advantage of the warm summer days. On the ground floor, the entrance opens into the main living spaces with generous openings that draw in plenty of light whilst framing views out to the terrace and surrounding landscape. A large sofa and armchairs sit to one end, where you can relax in front of the TV or enjoy a cosy evening beside the fire during the cooler months. A large dining table has space for up to 12 people, whilst, around the corner, a neat kitchen is well-equipped for preparing meals throughout your stay.
From the dining area, several openings give access to the terrace, where a wonderful covered dining area is perfect for sharing meals in the fresh air. Entertain guests with a barbecue, or make the most of the balmy evenings and open a bottle of wine to relax with a drink on one of the outdoor sofas whilst admiring the magnificent sunset over the coast. A set of steps leads down to a lower terrace, which opens out to the landscape and wraps around the side of the villa. Enjoy a swim in the pool, lay back in the heated jacuzzi, or recline in one of the nearby loungers to dry off beneath the sun.
There are seven bedrooms for guests to choose from, with a mixture of double and twin rooms perfect for families and friends. Whilst enjoying an elevated position with wonderful views over the surrounding area, Can Bella Vista is just moments from the vibrant town of Calp and with the nearest beach less than half an hour's walk, it is the perfect place to enjoy the best of the Costa Blanca.
Seen from the villa, Calp is distinguished by the enormous El Penon de Ifach, a limestone rock that rises to an impressive 330m and gives the coastline its distinctive shape. A trail leads up to the summit, leading through a tunnel cut in the rock, and whilst a challenging upwards route, you will be rewarded by panoramic views over the bay and surrounding area. To the foot of the rock, the port is filled with fishing boats and luxury yachts, and you can stroll along the waterfront or enjoy some lunch whilst soaking up the lively atmosphere. For some tapas, head to Calp's older district and wander the streets browsing the local shops selling artisanal goods. Or, for a more unique experience, head to the Banos de la Reina, where you can follow in the footsteps of queens and swim in the historic baths that once served as the royal spa.
Known for its vast sandy beaches, there is plenty of opportunity to spend the day beside the sea. Popular with families, Cantal Roig and Aren-bo stretch along the bay with a long promenade hugging the back of the sand. There are various bars and restaurants, as well as multiple water sports centres. For a quieter spot, hop in the car and drive 10 minutes up the coast to the beautiful Cala de la Fustera. With its charming crescent of fine white sand and wonderful clear blue waters, the cove is perfect for enjoying a relaxing day on the beach or grabbing a snorkel to explore the rocky outcrops and discover the seabed, rich in 'posidonia' seagrass. To the rear of the sand, the Mandala Beach Bar is perfect for a snack, and you can enjoy a refreshing drink and some tapas whilst looking out over the sea.
The Ruta Ecologica Benissa is a wonderful cliff-top path hugging the coastline, where you can enjoy a walk or drop down to visit the charming bays and hidden coves. Alternatively, just 20 minutes drive to the north, the lovely town of Moraira still retains its charm. Stroll through the old town's cobbled streets lined with traditional whitewashed houses and stop to admire the Iglesia Fortaleza de Santa Catalina with its impressive nave and beautiful interior, or head down to the marina where you can enjoy some lunch on the waterfront. Locally-owned El Pescador serves up delicious plates of freshly grilled fish, or walk towards the castle to find Terra Vian, a wonderful little wine bar offering the perfect spot to spend the evening and enjoy traditional tapas amongst the lively atmosphere.
