Engulfed by the Alpine glory of Vanoise National Park in France, Chalet Ivy is a warm, luxurious nine-bedroom holiday home for fifteen, located inside a five-village ski resort. A part of the Tignes-Val d’Isère ski area, the resort offers 300 kms of pistes, ideal for skiing all day, every month of the year.
Winter sport enthusiasts can go all out on the seemingly limitless off-piste terrain and the snow-draped slopes of Grand Motte glacier. Spend an afternoon sledging, snow tubing and snowshoeing, or try out unique activities like escape games, micro lighting and MoonBiking.
Make most of the resort’s water sports complex which offers an indoor swimming pool, a leisure pool with massage beds, a wave machine and fun-filled water slides. Indulge yourself at the wellness area, that boasts relaxing saunas, a steam room and hot tubs.
The chalet's living room boasts an earthy, yet stylish Savoyard decor, with classic Savoyard wood and accents of timber. Large wood-framed windows open onto a spacious balcony with panoramic views of snow-leaden peaks. High vaulted ceilings, puffy couches and sudden pops of colour bring the whole place alive.
Relax in style with the villa’s modern facilities. Luxuriate in the indoor hot tub or spend hours in the infrared sauna.
Lounge by the crackling firepit with a hot cup of cocoa, or whip up homemade meals in the roomy kitchen, which comes equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and cafetière.
The sleek, wooden community table is one of the most popular features of the chalet, perfect for dinner parties and family meals.
Take the wooden mezzanine to the lounge area upstairs, and settle down on comfy couches before the TV for a leisurely evening.
All nine bedrooms are cosy and elegant, with artful furnishing and minimalist decor. Five of the bedrooms come with twin beds and ensuite bathrooms, along with a storage space for skis and boots. The two master bedrooms are provided with large double beds, one of which has a shower room and balcony, while the other has an en-suite bathroom. The remaining two bedrooms have twin beds and ensuite shower rooms.
For those working from home, the chalet has a high-speed Wi-Fi.

Beginners can avail of the three free lifts and long blue runs to hone their skills. More advanced skiers can challenge themselves on a variety of red and black runs, glacier skiing spots and countless off-piste options.
A vibrant nightlife is never too far away, with colourful bars, eclectic restaurants and live music events all close by. Visit Les Caves du Lac, the resort’s most well-known club, or head to Le Saloon for its famous après-ski cocktail.
The neighboring resort of Val d’Isère is also within easy reach of Tignes and offers a further 150 km of first-rate runs.
The villages of Val Claret and Tignes Le Lac are charming, lively hubs, brimming with wine bars, funky shops and eating joints serving traditional dishes such as raclette and tartiflette. In summer, you can enjoy the area’s golf courses, bike park and ski runs on the Grande Motte glacier.
