Overview
Set to the dramatic backdrop of a pristine Alpine hillside, this charming three-bedroom ski chalet is the perfect place for a laid-back break in popular Chamonix. Like something out of a fairytale, this picture-perfect chalet is the quintessential ski accommodation.
With heaps of rustic charm, Chalet Sibyla is a popular choice for visitors looking to enjoy a laid-back ski retreat with a touch of luxury. If you’re driving to Chalet Sibyla, a single garage provides room for you to safely and securely store your vehicle throughout your stay.
Spread across three levels and decorated throughout with simple elegant charm, Chalet Sibyla offers cosy winter charm with every care been taken to ensure you and your guests feel perfectly settled in your home-away-from-home. With rich wooden architecture offset by simple but comfortable furnishings, you’re sure to feel right at home in no time.
Stepping in through your spacious entry hall, you have lots of room to store your ski equipment at the end of each day. A spacious open-plan living and dining space make up the lowest floor of the house, with a cosy lounge gathered around a roaring fire at its heart. A good-sized dining table with space for six guests sits adjacent to the lounge with a modern fully-equipped kitchen to the rear. From the living room, large patio doors open up onto a large terrace with additional outdoor seating and a private hot bun.
Two bedrooms are located on the first floor - the first, a comfortable double room with an en-suite bathroom containing a bathtub while the second bedroom has twin beds that can be pushed together to form a double and no private bathroom facilities. Both rooms have access to a shared outdoor balcony, perfect for watching the sun go down over the mountains each evening. The final bedroom, another twin, is located on the top floor with no private bathroom facilities though a family-style bathroom with a bathtub is located just down the hall.

Location
About the surrounding area of Chalet SibylaChalet Sibyla is located in the charming hamlet of Les Tines, a quiet spot ideally situated for skiing in both Chamonix and Argentière.
Chalet Sibyla is the perfect choice for holidaymakers who enjoy their holidays with a slice of peace and quiet. Set between the popular resorts of Argentière and Chamonix (about ten and fifteen minutes away respectively), Chalet Sibyla provides easy access to a fantastic range of pistes and Alpine activities.
To get to Chalet Sibyla in the first place, you can either drive straight to it from the UK or make your way from Geneva Airport which is located about an hour away. While you can get a taxi from Geneva, we do recommend renting a car during your stay due to the chalet’s location.
The area around Chalet Sibyla is mainly residential, so there are no amenities within your immediate vicinity. You’ll need to head into town for things like groceries and while Argentière is closer, you’ll find a wider selection in Chamonix.
Chamonix is the largest of the two resorts on your doorstep with everything you’ll need to enjoy a lively ski experience at your leisure. Popular with skiers of all ages, you can spend your downtime taking it easy at trendy coffee spots or letting your hair down at one of the many apre-ski bars. Popular with experts and beginners alike, Chamonix offers a wide range of pistes suitable for skiers of all abilities. When not skiing, you can explore the wide range of activities on offer in Chamonix with everything from designer boutiques and spas to laid-back dining and leisure facilities.
In the opposite direction to Chalet Sibyla, neighbouring Argentière is smaller than Chamonix but offers a more challenging ski experience with some of the best off-piste skiing in France.

The Resort
Chamonix is often preceded by its own reputation. As one of the most famous ski resorts in the world, it has visitors travelling from all corners of the world to experience the epic runs year after year. The Chamonix town centre, also known as Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, is an endlessly inviting little city with enough going on to entertain skiers and non-skiers alike for weeks on end. For those travelling from the UK, it is fabulously easy to reach. You can drive straight from Calais by motorway and be set up in a gorgeous chalet in less than half a day.
The Chamonix Valley encompasses five main ski areas on four different mountains (with easy transfers in between). You can get yourself a single-resort lift pass or one that encompasses the whole valley. If you go with the latter option you’ll even have access to the Italian side of the valley in Courmayeur. The wider area encompasses 106 pistes at up to 3842m altitude and unparalleled off-piste runs.
Most of Chamonix’s ski areas are best suited to those who already feel at home on a pair of skis. Beginners definitely won’t get as much out of this valley as those who are comfortable tackling a black run. But that’s not saying Chamonix is unromantic by any means. There is incredible scenery for everyone to enjoy, from non-skiers to experts, and nature lovers will fall in love with the Chamonix in summer too. Ski season, however, often lasts until mid-March.
Once the skiing is over at the end of the day you’ll still find plenty to keep you occupied in town. There is an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from, ranging from Michelin starred fine dining to street food that will line your stomach for the après-ski (and rest assured there are dozens of great bars and clubs to choose from!)
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesBringing the kids along on their next big ski adventure is an absolute doddle with Chalet Sibyla. With lots of space for kids of all ages to spread out and do their own thing as well as comfortable family areas, you don’t have to worry about being on top of one another throughout your visit.
Inside Chalet Sibyla, kids can use the chalet’s TV to wind down and relax by watching TV shows or movies. But, if they can’t find anything they like, don’t worry - the chalet comes with high-speed wireless internet that kids can connect their devices to, allowing them to stream their favourite content whenever they like.
On the outdoor terrace, kids love playing in the outdoor hot tub - especially when the snow is falling all around them while they’re lovely and warm in the hot water.
Beyond the comforts of your chalet, there’s lots for kids to get involved with at Chamonix, starting with the resort’s wonderful ski school. As part of ski school kids can top up their skills, make new friends and take part in fun snow-based activities with other kids around the resort.
For an unforgettable experience, you can let your little ones explore the valleys in new and exciting ways, like a husky-pulled sled tour. Or, you can take it easy and take a moment to escape the snow with a trip to the cinema where you can watch the latest releases as a family.
