Beauty, convenience and comfort combine delightfully in this sublime seven-bed chalet in the perfectly picturesque setting on the slopes of Alpe D’Huez. 

Three storeys of Aloine charm await you inside this type of chalet. There is a perfectly warm and cosy living area with space for all the group to gather in front of the fireplace – and there’s even complimentary firewood so you can get your feet up and get warm the moment you arrive! A large dining table stretches across one side of the chalet, offering space for everyone to enjoy mealtimes together.

As well as this, an American-style kitchen is fully equipped with all modern amenities, including a stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, plus all crockery and pans, ensuring you can prepare a meal together, saving you a trip out if you feel like a cosy night in.  

In this chalet type there are seven fantastic bedrooms, accommodating up to fifteen guests, with one or two on the ground floor, a range of bed options and all with en suite shower or bathrooms. All of the rooms embody the same soft charm of the Savoyard style, with soothing lighting and beautiful décor.

In each of the seven bathrooms, you will find complimentary dressing gowns, slippers and toiletries for all guests. There is also a wonderful terrace with incredible views of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to enjoy it with your morning coffee or perhaps an afternoon aperitif. 

Chalet Hugo also offers guests the opportunity to relax in the sauna after a day out on the mountain – the perfect way to unwind! With both a terrace and private parking, you have plenty of space and very little to worry about during your stay.

Just 500m away is the main ski lift, served by a free shuttle bus from your chalet throughout the day, keeping you easily connected, while the centre of Alpe d'Huez itself is about 1 km away. Within this radius, there are numerous bars, restaurants and boutiques. Resort also has as a swimming pool, leisure centre, ice rink and cinema. There’s even a free shuttle bus which frequently runs to the resort centre, keeping you easily connected.

What you should know…

  • Please note the photos are indicative of the style of the chalets featured, however the interiors of the chalet you are allocated may differ.
  • Ski-out includes a very short blue run down to the Bergers lift, so complete novice skiers are better off getting a free shuttle to the ski-school meeting point
  • You’re a little way out from the local village, with a walk back up the hill to get home – unless you take advantage of the free shuttle bus!

Just under 2 hours from Grenoble airport, you can access this resort with ease, from anywhere in the world! Alpe d'Huez ski area encompasses an altitude range of 1130m-3330m, including one of Europe’s largest nursery areas, ideal for beginners, as well as a huge range of blue and red pistes.

Around the resort you will find the gentler slopes, where beginners can start to find their feet, while those more experienced can head straight to the lifts at Les Bergers, your gateway to the 250km of linked pistes on offer, including 17 black slopes, 39 red slopes, 38 blue slopes and 41 green slopes!

Resort hosts a wide variety of eateries, from pizzerias and cafés to more high-end restaurants, and everything in between! By night, the town comes alive – with pubs, clubs and often live music events, you can be sure to find the perfect spot to dance, sing and party late into the night. With five ski resorts in total and two traditional mountain villages, there’s plenty of action and something for everyone!

Of course, Alpe D’Huez is famous as a winter sports paradise, but there are endless activities on offer all year round! The range of activities for you enjoy depends on the time of year you choose to visit. The Palais des Sports leisure centre available for a range of indoor sports, as well as offering an ice rink and a swimming pool! Out on the mountain, you can try some thrilling sports, including ice climbing, snowmobiling, ski joëring and husky sledging – and even paragliding or a helicopter ride is on the menu if you’re feeling brave!

For a slightly slower pace, simply treat yourself to a trip to the spa in the local town. And that’s just on land!

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €750 charged to client’s credit card by the owner upon arrival and refunded 15 days after departure, subject to full inspection.
Arrival time 5.00 - 8.00 p.m.
Departure time 10.00 a.m.
Energy costs included? Yes.
Linen & towels included? Yes.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or rubbish disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Pets welcome? On request only and with prior agreement with the owner. If accepted, a pet supplement of €5 per pet per day will apply (payable locally).
Smoking Allowed? Outside only.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, personal belongings, public liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Tax French Visitors Tax payable locally (typically costs €1-€3 per adult per night- please enquire if exact amount is required).
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included.
Changeover day Saturday in peak season (February to early March) or flexible at other times (Christmas/NY period can be Friday/Saturday or Sunday arrival)
Minimum stay 7 nights.

    The chalets are just located on the slopes, you can take your skis from home and be right there on the on slopes. The residence itself is very cute- it looks like a real Swiss chalet!
