Villa Marru is a charming five-bedroom villa that sleeps 10, and is ideal for large groups of friends or families travelling together. This stunning villa provides a fantastic and luxurious home away from home for those looking to spend some quality time in the sun with loved ones.

Villa Marru combines contemporary living with rustic Portuguese charm. On the ground floor, there is a modern, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of prep space and state-of-the-art appliances, as well as a comfortable living and dining room. Guests will also find the master suite with a fabulous en-suite bathroom, two further double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. There are also two shared bathrooms that are modern, well-equipped and finished to a high standard.

Outside, there is a large private swimming pool, fantastic gardens, as well as an outdoor dining area and private parking for up to 6 cars! Around the large private swimming pool, guests will find no shortage of sun loungers where they can switch off and read a good book. The outdoor dining facilities mean that guests can prepare and enjoy delicious al fresco meals. With the beach on the doorstep and an array of restaurants and activities to choose from, guests are truly spoilt for choice at Villa Marru.

The villa is situated just 1.2km from Praia das Macas, a lovely sandy beach, lined with charming beach bars and restaurants. The glorious Atlantic Ocean makes surfing a favourite activity here, with lots of surfing schools or centres for hiring equipment to help you join in the fun.

The twenty-minute drive to the pretty town of Sintra takes you to the eastern edge of the nature park. Nestled amongst pine-tree clad hills and dotted with castles and old palaces, Sintra is famed for being picturesque and the historic home to Portugal’s rich and powerful. As well as the castles, mansions and elaborate gardens, you can explore the cobbled streets of the town centre and dine in one of the many fine restaurants which attract ‘gastro’ tourists to Sintra from all over Portugal.

Another day trip efficiently planned from Villa Marru is Lisbon. In less than an hour, you can reach Portugal’s capital city. Culture vultures will need more than one day to do justice to the must-see arts, history and archaeology. Jeronimos Monastery, St. George’s Castle, the Berardo Museum and Sao Roque Church are some of the many sights to see in this city. Families could start at Parque das Nascoes to take in the modern architecture; there is also a fantastic aquarium and waterfront promenade. After lunch, tired legs could take the number 28 tram through this fascinating city or even hop on the open top bus tour.

Golfers are also spoilt for choice. Of the six golf courses within twenty to forty minutes’ drive from Villa Marru, Quinta da Marinha and Oitavos are amongst them. Back at base, everyone can share the day’s memories while relaxing beside the villa’s private pool and later, enjoy a fanatic al fresco dinner.

If you’re planning a family holiday, Villa Marru is ideal. The villa has two twin bedrooms and three double bedrooms which can accommodate lots of youngsters! The private pool, spacious garden and proximity to the beach will keep kids of all ages entertained all afternoon.

The nearest beach is within walking distance. Along the seafront, guests will also find restaurants, beach bars and surfing schools. Further afield, there are several day trips that families will love, such as visiting Sintra, renowned for fabulous restaurants and historic sites. The marina at Cascais is just twenty-two kilometres away and, of course, there’s the city of Lisbon. Portugal’s capital city is also less than an hour’s drive from Villa Marru, and makes a great day out for families.
