About the surrounding area of Villa OlgaOnce a small fishing town, Olhos de Agua is a delightful spot for a relaxed holiday and has retained much of its traditional charm. With a sandy cove at its heart, it’s perfect for a chilled-out, beach focussed break, with a selection of low-key restaurants and bars if you want them.
Expect to enjoy fresh seafood dishes such as grilled sardines. With lively Albufeira 4km away, it offers the perfect balance between relaxation and action, offering visitors the best of both worlds.
Olhos de Agua is home to Praia de Falesia beach, one of the most beautiful stretches of sand on the Algarve. Surrounded by dramatic red and white cliffs, this offers the perfect venue for swimming, sunbathing or trying your hand at watersports when you’re in need of refreshment head to the beachside restaurant and bar.
If you’re after some action then head to Albufeira, which is just a short 15-minute drive away, and with its lively beaches and an upscale marina, it offers something a little bit different. The marina is fringed with cafes and restaurants, as well as a selection of shops and market stalls.
The town centre is a tourist mecca with bustling streets, souvenir shops and lively cafes. Those in search of local culture may wish to check out the Archaeological Museum; it has a fascinating collection of artefacts, dating back to the stone age.
Drive just 13 kilometres northeast of Albufeira to visit the historic ruins of Paderne Castle. It has retained its impressive outer walls and from its hilltop location, also offers fabulous views of the Algarve coastline and beyond.
The classy resort of Vilamoura, with its up-market marina, chic boutiques and excellent dining options, is also within easy reach of Olhos D’agua. Olhos D’agua is just perfect for those looking for a relaxed, beach based break, with livelier resorts just a short drive away.

THE REGION

Olhos d’Agua is first and foremost ideal for a holiday on the sunny beach, and you’ll surely spend most of your time here either stretched out on the sand or playing around in the water. Walking the cobbles streets of the village, you’ll encounter quaint seafood restaurants and bars but there’s not much of a nightlife. Hiring a car is the best way to enjoy all that the Algarve has to offer, and there are a host of family-friendly attractions to keep kids entertained. Zoomarine, a marine life-based theme park with spectacular dolphin shows, a 4D cinema and themed rides, is well worth a look.
For water-based fun head to Slide & Splash, which is packed with water slides and splash parks, they even offer parrot and falconry shows. Olhos D’agua is ideal for kids as it provides a relaxed beach based break, with a host of fun attractions within a manageable driving distance.

What a wonderful location. Awesome!!
Villa Olga is a very nice place for relaxing and a good rest. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsettings and the view of the ocean while we had dinner and grilled some fish and drink one (or two) bottles of a portuguese white wine. A fantastic atmosphere! It was definitely not our last stay in this great Villa and we can recommended it without any restrictions.

Wonderful stay
We had a fabulous time staying for a week at Villa Olga. Praia Maria Luisa is a great beach literally out of the house past a couple of houses and down the steps. The area is so quiet and relaxing but within walkinh distance of a big supermarket and restaurants. The pool in the villa was clean and refreshing. The garden is maintained beautifully. The house itself was spotless - beautifully clean bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped with glasses, dishes and cooking pots etc. Thank you for the welcome wine! We would happily go back to this property.
