The advantage of this beautiful countryside location is that Villa Endoa is on an enormous 2,000 sqm plot. The setting is idyllic, and there is so much space for family games and relaxation.
Villa Endoa is situated between Silves, Lagoa, Porches and Algoz amongst fabulous fields and natural surroundings. It is roughly 6km to shops and restaurants and 9km to the stunning beaches. The outside space is so wonderful you might not want to leave the villa a few days of your holiday. It is so peaceful and relaxing.
On arrival, you are greeted by the lovely, warm terracotta villa and the delightful grounds. The villa is traditional in design and furnishings. You will feel so at home. The villa is open-plan with an inviting living and dining room opens to the modern kitchen. Every appliance you could need is available. One of the double bedrooms is on the ground floor with one of the bathrooms. All of the rooms are so spacious in this villa. Upstairs there are two comfortable double rooms, a twin and the second bathroom. The first-floor balcony is lovely with wonderful countryside views.
The swimming pool is located in a fenced area which makes it very safe if you have young children. It is surrounded by sun loungers, and the outdoor shower is useful. The barbecue is stand alone and wonderful for alfresco meals. It is so calming to be surrounded by fields and not on top of other villas.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa EndoaLagoa is a very pretty hill town of whitewashed houses that used to rise above a lagoon. Now only the name remains as well as the delicious local wine! The town is very traditional. The cultural centre of Lagoa was originally built in 1710 as the Convent of Saint Joseph, but it fell into disrepair and opened as the cultural centre after a major renovation. You will see exhibitions of paintings, photography and sculpture. The Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Luz, which means Church of Our Lady of Light, is beautiful and worth a visit. The Lady in Red art gallery is located in an unused industrial space of a big wine producer. It is a stunning display of modern art.
Near the town Estombar you will find a park called the Municipal Park of the Springs. It surrounds a spring of the Arade River and is wonderful for picnics. It is also a great place to swim and makes a change from the beach.
Quinta dos Vales Wine Estate offers wine tours. You will see some colourful sculptures in the garden which give it a unique character. The tours are informative and the wine delicious.
Ferragudo is a typical fishing village on the banks of the Arade river. In the village, you will see traditional white houses with typical chimneys. It is so charming with its church on the top of the hill. On the other side of the river, you can see the picturesque Portimao.
Silves is peaceful and unhurried and is a joy to explore. The wonderful red brick castle, Gothic cathedral, town walls and the daily market are lovely. The atmosphere is so warm and cheerful when wandering around the open-air cafes and restaurants, cobbled streets and charming shops.

THE REGION
Situated some 7 km inland from the magnificent coastline for which this municipality of the Algarve is renowned, the small city of Lagoa has a rural feel that contrasts significantly with the cosmopolitan atmosphere of its popular seaside resorts.
The idyllic town is charmingly traditional and only a short distance from the popular Portimão. As well as being close to some of the best beach resorts in the region and the historic town of Silves, Lagoa holidays have ample charms of their own.
Inserted in a traditionally agricultural and important wine-producing area, Lagoa lies on a small hill rising above flatlands that allegedly once held the lagoon that gave the city its name.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Endoa is perfect for children. There is so much space to play, and the pool is wonderful. Slide and Splash is a thrilling waterpark close to Lagoa. The park offers many aquatic entertainments as well as lawns for picnics, animal shows, massage and several restaurants. The Big Slides, Kamikaze and Big Wave slides are incredible and so thrilling. There are water playgrounds, pools and sun loungers to rent. In the other direction, Aqualand Algarve will keep children amused with its high slides, rapid river run and surf beach. The lazy river is so relaxing. The beach pool has a wave machine that comes on every hour.
Children always love a beach day. It will take no time at all to reach one of the many splendid beaches. Praia de Benagil, with its fantastic cave, is a firm favourite. You can take a boat ride inside the cave or a kayak trip. Praia Gale and Praia dos Salgados are also excellent beaches to visit. The Alvor boardwalk stretches almost the full length of the beach.
The Fatacil Fair is held every August at the Fatacil showground in Lagoa. It started out as an agricultural fair, but it has grown and is more of a regional fair celebrating everything Algarvian and Portuguese. You will find a show ring in the equestrian area to watch Lusitano horses perform truly impressive dressage and techniques accompanied by dramatic music and fire! You can sample wines in the wine area, and there are so many food options. Homemade lace, handcrafted wooden items and pottery are sold in the handicraft area. Children will love the candy floss and dedicated children’s fun zone.
