Overview

Pool Villa/House Modern Ideal for Kids Walk to Beach Walk to Village Parking Space

There’s a splendid sense of space when you stay at the five hundred and fifty metre squared Villa Yonda, overlooking the superyacht marina, in the holiday hot spot of Tivat on the Montenegro coast of the Adriatic Sea.

This impressive, three-storey, detached villa has five spacious ensuite double bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to ten guests, ideal for a large family holiday or a group of friends’ get-together. The villa is set on its own grounds, with a Mediterranean-style garden, a sea view terrace, and your own private infinity swimming pool. The property has all the mod cons, including complimentary air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and secure parking. Villa Yonda is constructed out of pale local stone, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto sea-view terraces and private balconies. The interiors are minimalist, chic, and sleek, furnished with contemporary pieces of natural wood floors, and decorated in a neutral palette of cool earth tones, with highlights of regal purple.

Enter the villa at ground floor level, where there is a generous open plan living space with picture postcard windows that reward the guests with sweeping sea, mountain, and marina vistas. The seating area has a super large, comfy L-shaped sofa and matching pouffe, facing a marble inset wall, home to a flat-screen television and an enclosed wood-burning fireplace for those cooler months and evenings. The eight-seater dining set is great for some indoor entertaining. The monochrome kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances you will need to cater for your holiday. The first of five well-appointed bedrooms can be found on this floor, with a king-size bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, ensuite marble shower room, and access to the sea view pool terrace, perfect for those who love a swim before breakfast. The first floor has three similar ensuite double bedrooms, all with king-size beds and sea-view balconies, and one with a bath. On the second floor is the fifth bedroom, with a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV, an ensuite with a bath and shower, bidet, hand basin, and WC, and the most stunning panoramic view balcony. For those who like to keep fit on their holidays, there is a gym with the latest state-of-the-art machines.

Step outside to the breathtaking uninterrupted sea view terrace, where there is a centrepiece, step-entry, and infinity swimming pool, surrounded by cushioned wooden sun loungers. Sitting in the shade is a soft seating set, perfectly positioned to absorb those views, to be enjoyed over morning coffee, cocktails, and alfresco suppers under the stars.

The villa is only two kilometres from the nearest international airport at Tivat or fifty kilometres from Dubrovnik. The nearest beach is eight hundred metres from the villa, and the coastline is populated with twenty more, some offering a range of exhilarating water sports, cafes, bars, and clubs.

The town of Tivat has a stunning marina, moored with luxury superyachts sailing the Med. Wine and dine at seafront bars and restaurants, and watch the world sail by. Visit the Renaissance Summer House Buca, the City Park, and the island of St Mark and of Flowers.

Spend the day in the old town of Perast, with the islets of St George and the six hundred-year-old, man-made Our Lady of the Rocks complete with church. Perast is noted for its historic Venetian Gothic mansions, a seashore promenade, the façade of a monastery with a bell tower, charming streets lined with churches, a few museums, and a beach with a pier.

Wander down the winding streets of the UNESCO-protected town of medieval Kotor to discover Venetian influence social squares, Romanesque churches, Kotor Cathedral, the Maritime Museum, and preserved city walls.

For those who fancy something more active, you can try white water rafting down the Tara River, speed boating, and jet skiing on the sea. For some culture, tour the historic palaces of Bujovic, Viskovic, Smekja, and Sestokrilovic. Get back to nature with a walk around the Durmitor National Park and Black Lake. Have a day trip to the historic city of Dubrovnik, walk the medieval walls, and see where Game of Thrones was filmed.

Montenegro loves a festival highlighting its traditions and cultures, check out what’s on and where when you visit.

About the Region & Getting There

About the Bay of Kotor

The Bay of Kotor, or Boka, has been a World Heritage Site since 1979, so be assured of its captivating scenery that includes; a Venetian old town, a Fortress, Roman Mosaics, churches and a glistening cove that all culminate to provide guests with an exceptional holiday destination.

Sailing through the fjord you will notice the Orjen Mountains along the west, and the Lovćen Mountain range curling around the east, which outline this spellbinding landscape. As you enter through the bay you are greeted by a man-made islet that is home to Our Lady of the Rocks Church and a museum. This is the first of many reminders that you are about to reach a region of Montenegro that is famed for its natural scenery and poignant architecture.

The Bay of Kotor is made up of four cornerstones - Lastva, Morinj, Stoliv and the most renowned Tivat. Within these villages you are able to find iconic landmarks such as St Petka Church and St Mary’s Church, or for something a little less pious; simply enjoy Tivat Marina and Gornji Stoliv’s Olive grove & Fig orchard.

Travel inland and strap on a pair of hiking boots as you explore Lovcen National Park. Although it is about an hours drive from the Bay, it really is worth the day trip! Whether you’re travelling with a Botanists, Ecologist, Entomologist or Zoologist; they will be pleased to know that there’s an immeasurable number of species that include birds, insects, bears, wolves and some breath-taking flora & fauna.

We urge holidaymakers to make the most of Kodor! This charming town has everything you need to forget the day-to-day tribulations of home life. Not only does this small medieval refuge have a host of cafes & restaurants, but there are some must see attractions like the Maritime Museum, the Cats Museum of Kotor, Cats of Kotor Shop and St. John’s Hill. The perfect retreat for a family in need of sun, sea & sentiment.

Prior to Booking

As many of our regions in Montenegro are coastal, there can sometimes be some adverse weather. This tends to only really occur outside of the Peak Season though. When thinking about booking your holiday to Montenegro, please consult Foreign travel advice for more information.
