Indeed, Villa Ace is perfectly positioned overlooking one of the 27 holes of this grand golf course and the club house with its superb restaurant is just 2km away. Other facilities of this vast resort include a historic borgo which features hotel-restaurants, two tennis courts and paddle located close to the Golf Club House, set beneath the olive groves as well as walking and cycling opportunities across the estate’s magnificent grounds.
Admire the lavender and olive trees as you approach the gated drive of your holiday home and marvel at the gorgeous scenery from your own pretty garden and swimming pool. The al-fresco dining pergola is perfect for evening aperitivi perhaps followed by Italian feasts with family and friends looking out as the sun sets behind the Tuscan hills.
Inside the villa, expect elegant interiors with a spacious living room decorated with rustic yet refined style, a TV room that families will love, a perfectly equipped kitchen as well as three doubles (two of them en suite) and an attractive twin bedroom, all with French windows leading to the inviting pool, covered terrace or picturesque gardens.
Whilst there is so much to do across the huge estate, you’re surely wish to venture further afield to discover yet more delights of Tuscany. Perhaps start off with a meal out in an authentic osteria in nearby Montaione or fall in love with the many belltowers of idyllic San Gimignano. Other historic gems to discover include San Miniato, Volterra, Certaldo or spend time in the magnificent cities of Siena and Florence.
Then there’s Pisa, the mesmerising vineyards and villages of the Chianti region, not to mention tiny hilltop villages where time stands still and captivating landscapes that capture the romance of this irresistible part of Italy.

- Villa Ace is part of a vast resort and estate, overlooking the golf course (next to one of the holes), and is around 3km from the main ‘borgo’ with its reception and hotel-restaurants.
- The facilities such as tennis court, wine cellar and spa/massage are all part of the estate and payable locally.

About the surrounding area of Villa AceIn a stunning part of Tuscany, within half an hour of San Gimignano, Villa Ace is part of a large estate which also features a golf course, spa facilities, tennis courts and a hotel-restaurant.
Villa Ace is set by itself in the large 27-hole golf course, overlooking one of the holes and with glorious views over the Tuscan landscapes, with other resort villas also dotted across this part of the estate. The actual club house (and restaurant) is just under 2km away and guests will receive a 15% discount on green fees and discounted use of the two tennis courts. The historic ‘borgo’ is around 3km away, the heart of the resort where you will find hotel-restaurants and spa facilities.
There are some beautiful walks across the estate as well as opportunities for horse-riding and cycling with bike hire available. Visit the estate’s vineyards and learn all about their wine-making traditions or visit the cellar for wine-tasting.
The small and very pretty village of Montaione (13km) is where you will find the nearest restaurants outside the estate, as well as a small supermarket and other amenities. It’s a picturesque Tuscan village 300m above sea level and local specialities include white truffles and saffron alongside wine and olive oil. A little further, Gambassi Terme (15km) is known for its thermal baths whilst closer to home the monastery at San Vivaldo (8km) is also worthy of a visit.
Admire the many towers of San Gimignano, around half an hour away, and soak up the enchanting ambience of this much-loved hilltop village with the most gorgeous views all around. Dine in one of the village’s many restaurants and sample locally produced Vernaccia white wine.
The Tuscan town of Certaldo (25km) is also full of historic gems or head a little further towards the hills and vineyards of the Chianti region with old villages such as Castellina in Chianti (52km) a joy to explore.
Heading north, idyllic San Miniato (30km) is known to be one of Tuscany’s prettiest villages and a little further is the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci in Vinci (48km). Keen historians may wish to drive to Empoli (42km) whilst Volterra (35km) is another amazing place known especially for its Etruscan heritage.
Not forgetting of course the great cities of Florence and Siena with their artistic treasures. Both are over an hours drive or you may prefer to catch the train – Siena is a 35-minute train ride from Certaldo whilst Florence could be reached in under half an hour from Empoli train station. The wonderful city of Pisa is just under an hour by car.

Best Suited For: All AgesThe vast estate is wonderful for children with long country walks through the Tuscan landscapes as well as tennis courts on site (guests receive a discount) and horse-riding and cycling opportunities. Even the 27-hole golf course has a lake course with 9 holes that is suitable for beginners with special rates for juniors.
Of course, there is also so much to do across Tuscany with many child-friendly attractions in the great cities of Florence, Pisa and Siena as well as historic treasures to be admired in local villages and towns such as Certaldo and San Gimignano, of course always followed by gelato for all the family.
If you are looking for a change of scene, spend the day at Sunlight Park just outside Pisa with its wave pools and flumes or visit the animals at the zoo in Pistoia. The charming little village of Collodi, just over an hour away, is home to Pinocchio Park which is sure to delight younger guests.
