Live la dolce vita when you vacation in the ultra-luxurious Apartment Blu e Grigio, located in the heart of central Rome, the capital city of Italy. This simply stunning apartment has five spacious double bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to eleven guests, ideal for a large family holiday or friends’ get-together.
The apartment is on the whole of the fourth floor of a classic Rome townhouse, but don’t worry; there is an internal lift to take you up there. This impressive apartment has complimentary air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and satellite television with Sky and Netflix cable channels. The interiors are exquisite; parquet floors, sparkling mirrors and crystal chandeliers adorn the rooms. The apartment is furnished with contemporary yet classic pieces, the bathrooms are deliciously divine, and the décor is a sophisticated colour palette of monochrome black and white, with highlights of soft hues of blues.
Take the lift to the fourth floor, and enter the apartment to be welcomed with a hall with ceiling frescoes, a football table and modern, beige leather and stainless steel armchairs, where you can relax. The spacious open-plan living area has a forest scene background wall, two shades of comfy grey sofas, coffee and side tables, and a flat-screen television. The glass-topped dining table, with black leather and stainless steel chairs, would be ideal for some splendid entertaining. The adjacent uber-modern dark grey and gold trim kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances to cater for your holiday. A mirror-fronted island is also a bar, complete with four tall stools, perfect for breakfast or an aperitivo at cocktail hour.
Take the corridor to five large, elegantly-appointed bedrooms, one of which is an opulent master suite with a queen size bed and a free-standing bathtub in the room. There is a bedroom with a queen size and a single bed, just right as a small family suite. The third bedroom also has a queen size bed, and there are two bedrooms, both with twin beds. The four bathrooms each have different themes, from smart black and white monochrome marble with glass-fronted walk-in showers to romantic pale blue bird wallpaper as a backdrop for a deep bathtub. Get a breath of fresh air on the Juliet balcony that overlooks the streets below, and enjoy a view of the Eternal City like a local.
What you should know…
- The bedrooms are not all ensuite, there are four shared bathrooms between five double bedrooms, but they are so magnificent you’ll want to try them all anyway
- The apartment doesn’t have private parking; we recommend walking, taking a taxi, or public transport to where you want to go

Location
About the surrounding area of Apartment Blu e GrigioApartment Blu e Grigio can be found in the heart of central Rome, the capital city of Italy, half down its west coast. The apartment is just fourteen kilometres from Rome's international Ciampino Airport, which can be reached either by taxi or a direct train ride. The central Roma Termini train station is five minutes to Repubblica, the nearest metro station; hop into a cab, or pre-book a transfer with the concierge team.
There is something for everyone to enjoy when you holiday in Rome, whether it's ancient history, architecture, renaissance art, culture, food, shopping, and fashion or the simple joy of people watching, the Eternal City has got a lot.
Step outside the apartment, and within a short distance, you are sipping cappuccinos in the bustling square of Piazza Barberini; make a wish at the famous sculpted marble Trevi fountain, then take a walk to the impressive Spanish steps. Everywhere you go, there are ornate churches, rich with decorative icons, don't miss a visit to Santissima Trinita dei Monti, a Roman Catholic late Renaissance church perched above the Spanish Steps.
Soak up the history of the city at The Pantheon, the Roman Forum, and the ancient Colosseum, all within walking distance. No visit to Rome is complete without a meander through the Vatican Museum art collection to see Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling before a visit to the Basilica of St Peter.
For some fine art, go to the nearby Borghese Gallery, set in a gorgeous garden, housing an incredible collection of Canova marble sculptures. On the stroll back, stop at Harry's Bar for a Bellini, then walk down the Spanish steps and visit the Romantic poet Keat's house before sampling English muffins at the famous Babington's Tea Rooms, which has been there since 1893.
Saunter down the oh-so-very fabulous Via dei Condotti and window shop for world-famous designer-label fashion and exquisite hand-crafted leather handbags. Go to the outskirts of the city and cross the Old Appian Way to discover the hidden treasures of the catacombs, join a guided tour, or make your own way there.
If you fancy a day trip out of Rome, the town of Tivoli is only thirty kilometres away, where you can visit Hadrian's Villa and the exquisite Villa D'Este. During the day, dine on freshly made pasta and homemade ice cream, eat alfresco in one of the many squares, sit back, and people watch as the world and the beautiful people pass by. In the evening, make your way to the foodie heaven of Trastevere, and taste the delights of traditional Italian cooking, just like Nonna used to make, in one of its many taverna-style restaurants.

Best Suited For: All AgesThere’s so much for your kids to do and see when you vacation in Rome. First stop, take the family to the must-see Colosseum, manned by actors dressed as Roman soldiers, where they can explore the magnificent Flavian amphitheatre, the maze of tunnels which housed the animals, and imprisoned the gladiators.
Older children visiting the Gruppo Storica Roma can learn to be a gladiator, don a tunic and sword, and immerse themselves in the history of ancient Rome.
Take a walk to the Spanish steps, march them down to Keats House and Babington’s Tea Rooms, march them back up again to the ornate Renaissance church and admire the stunning views over the city.
Younger ones will love an afternoon at the Techno di Pulcinelia al Gianicolo, an open-air puppet theatre, or the San Carlino, where the puppets and musicians interact with the children. Row a boat or ride a bike through the nearby beautiful Borghese Gardens.
Take a trip to the Bioparco Roma, where there is a toy train, a mini zoo, a children’s playground, and pony rides through the gardens. Take them on a tour of the Vatican Museum, show them the Sistine Chapel and the beauty of St Peter’s Basilica. Marvel at the three-metre hole in the roof of the two-thousand-year-old Pantheon, designed to shine a light on the Emperor at noon on the 21st of April, the date the Roman Empire was founded.
Throw coins in the Trevi Fountain and make a wish. At night, all aboard an Illuminated Rome Tour for Kids, pizza and gelato included. Eat ice cream of every colour, most especially the blue bubble-gum-flavoured one.
