In Platani A, two double ensuite bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, sharing access to a garden dining area overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. Ascending to the first floor reveals a king double bedroom, another double bedroom with twin single beds, two bathrooms with showers, a dining room, kitchen, and terrace.
An interconnected building contains two more double bedrooms, WC, kitchen and pizza oven and swimming pool. While a separate annex features a living room with kitchen, a double bedroom with ensuite shower and a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom.

About the surrounding area of Villa Platani AVilla Platani A is ideally situated on one of Capri’s most famous cliffsides, soaring above the Tyrrhenian Sea and only a few minutes’ walk (aided by the private funicular) to Capri’s iconic main square - the Piazzetta. From here you can continue all via Vittorio Emanuele toward the Grand Hotel Quisisana and via Camerelle – a street renowned for its high-end boutiques.
Access to the beach from the villa is very easy, with Marina Piccola (4-minute drive) and its famous beach club La Fontelina close at hand. Overlooking the beach are the Gardens of Augustus: a fantastically flowery perch from which to view the Faraglioni rock formations.
Perhaps the best way of exploring the island of Capri is by stepping off the island itself and circumnavigating its coastline of caves, coves, and inlets by renting a canoe, kayak, stand-up paddle board, or boat. Via this medium you’ll be able to discover a great many spots that would be difficult to reach otherwise (and thereby less crowded!).
If you prefer to keep your feet dry, Capri’s stunning elevated vistas make it a hiker’s paradise. The Passetiello is a wonderful circular route that starts in Anacapri and traverses through woods, and past famous villas such as San Michele and Scala Fenicia on its way up to the summit of Monte Solaro. Another hiking trail worth checking out takes you around the island’s ancient defences, along 19th century walkways and to the Punta Carena lighthouse. Of course if hiking isn’t your fancy, you can always take the chairlift from the main square of Anacapri to the summit of Monte Solaro.
Capri’s heritage is hard to ignore, and thanks to its intrigue and beauty, you won’t want to. An hour’s uphill climb from the centre of Capri town along the slopes of Mount Tiberius will bring you to the remains of Villa Jovis – the Capri residence of Roman Emperor Tiberius.

Best Suited For: All AgesOne of the most easily accessible beaches from Villa Platani A is Marina Grande, which also happens to be very suitable for children. At the port you can enjoy a coffee or limoncello while you wait for the boat you’ve booked to take the family out to see the famous Blue Grotto (which you’ll enter by rowboat).
Another great beach for families is Bagni di Tibero, which can be easily reached via a small boat ride. Another great option for families is the small town at the top of the island known as Anacapri. The car-free centre of town is well suited for children, and even boasts a large public park with playground. And make sure to check out the House of Axel Munthe, also known as Villa San Michele, whose extensive gardens, pathways and views mean it is often referred to as the most beautiful garden in Italy.
