A stay at this 19th century chateau in Burgundy places guests in a prime position to explore the bounty of the Loire Valley while enjoying tranquility and true relaxation within the five-hectare estate.

Not only will guests luxuriate in the elegance and comfort of the chateau’s generous common areas, like the two sophisticated living rooms, formal dining room, and modern kitchen, but will also have access to an exclusive basement spa with a sauna and hot tub.

Six sumptuous bedroom suites include en suite bathrooms and offer striking views of the rolling countryside and town of Nevers beyond.

Outside, a private pool awaits with sun loungers to soak up the ample sunlight. You’ll also find ancient trees within the park, a fishing lake, plenty of outdoor seating on the terrace, and even a 17th century chapel adding to the chateau’s unique and charming appeal.

Located between the Pouilly sur Loire and Sancerre vineyards, the chateau is ideally located to enjoy the region’s famed wine. It is also just five miles from the heritage site of Nevers, with market offerings three days a week. The Magny-Cours race circuit is nearby too, for those looking for some action on their holiday.

The ground floor has a dramatic entrance hall and main staircase. There are two large living rooms, a formal dining room and a fully equipped modern kitchen. There are also 2 suites, one sleeping up to 4 people and the other a double, each with an en-suite bathroom. There are breathtaking views from each window.

Upstairs there are 4 suites, with one sleeping up to 4 people and  three double rooms with en-suite bathrooms. There are excellent views of the garden, pool and ornamental lake.

There is a 17th century chapel in the garden surrounded by various century-old trees. The chateau sits within 5 hectares of park with an ornamental lake (that is fishable). There is a large terrace with table and chairs. There is also plenty of parking space.

The Chateau du Baron is ideally located in the Loire valley between the Pouilly sur Loire vineyards (15 minutes), Sancerre (25 minutes) and the Magny Cours race circuit (10 minutes). Paris is 200km away.

The chef will arrive with all the necessary ingredients as well as the talent to turn them into something unforgettable. They’ll serve the meal and clear up afterwards - an easy and entertaining way to enjoy a top quality meal in your very own villa!

B) Full Chef Service: If you really want to kick back and relax, we can arrange for a chef to cater for the duration of your holiday (or part of it). With a range of options from simple family catering to full-on haute cuisine, we can organise a meal plan and a price to suit your needs. So why worry about self-catering when you can have everything taken care of?

Security deposit €2000. The security deposit is paid to the owner via bank transfer prior to the arrival and refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.

Energy costs included? Energy and heating costs are included in the summer. There is an extra charge of €200/week in winter.
