Chateau Elegante offers ideal accommodation for a holiday rental with family and friends. A hint of what is to come can be seen as you enter the Chateau through huge iron gates and travel down the tree-lined avenue.
All of the rooms are large and spacious, fully equipped with modern facilities and beautifully furnished with French antique furniture. Children have not been forgotten and there are plenty of facilities for the young.
The Chateau is a short drive from Foulayronnes where there are supermarkets and an artisanal boulangerie. From the kitchen, you look down over the dining terrace with views over to the heated pool and lake. A perfect place to enjoy long summer evenings and stunning sunsets.

This is a historic home, and as such:
- It has probably been standing for over 100 years, which means it's full of historic value and charm but it may also have one or two quirks!
- Some of the decor and furnishings may not be brand new, but that should not detract from your holiday experience in this unique setting that allows you to take a step back in time!
Property Features
The Chateau boasts 8 bedrooms, 7 of which are ensuite and furnished to a very high standard. The reception rooms are light and airy, with a formal drawing room as well as a more relaxed living room. The modern kitchen is well equipped for all your needs with a large American fridge-freezer, microwave, ovens, dishwasher and integrated coffee machine.
Bedroom 1 is a kingsize with its own ensuite bathroom set in the tower. Bedroom 2 is a kingsize 4 poster bed with French windows overlooking the swimming pool, terrace and gardens, again with its own ensuite bathroom set in the tower. Bedroom 3 is a kingsize with ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 4 is ideal for children with a single 4 poster bed and additional childs bed. The ensuite has a shower, basin and wc. Bedroom 5 is a large double room with ensuite shower-room set in the tower. Bedroom 6 is a large double room with ensuite shower-room set in the tower. Bedroom 7 is a double room with access to the family bathroom and wc. Bedroom 8 has two set of bunk beds and is ideal for children.
The gardens are well kept and offer the formality of manicured lawns and sunny terraces but there are also meadows, orchards and the lake to explore. The large 12x6m pool is a sun trap throughout the day and two tented gazebos are provided for well needed shade.
Location
About the surrounding area of Chateau EleganteThe Chateau is a short drive from Foulayronnes where there are supermarkets and an artisanal boulangerie. The River Lot has beaches, canoeing, sailing and other activities such as boat trips and cruiser hire. For more cultural activities there are Frescoes, Caves and Museums all within a short drive of the Chateau.
It is a short drive to the bustling town of Agen and there are over 40 picturesque and historic bastide towns to visit in the area. A part of France renowned for its gastronomy, the daily morning markets are a must for the visitor as well as all the local restaurants that cater to pretty much every budget and style.
For more action packed activities, Golf d’Albret is an 18 hole golf course in Barbaste just over 30 minutes away and the adventure Park “Walibi”is located close by in Agen.
The Chateau is ideally positioned between 3 International Airports making it an easy final destination. The Dordogne riverside town of Bergerac with its International Airport is 1 hour 30 minutes drive away. Ryanair flies here from London Stansted, Liverpool, Nottingham, and Bristol. Flybe flys into Bergerac from London Gatwick, Southampton, Exeter and Edinburgh. There are also interconnecting flights to Belfast, Glasgow, Dundee and Newcastle with Flybe.
The vibrant city of Bordeaux is 1hr 45minutes away,with a larger International Airport servicing even more UK and Worldwide destinations. In addition, Toulouse Airport is approximately 1hr 45 mins drive to the south - again a large International Airport with many International Carriers.

Catering is available at the chateau by local catering companies (traiteurs) - typically this will cost from 30 euros per person for a 4-course meal. Alternatively it may be possible to hire a cook from the local village/town who can do any cooking that you wish during your stay – they are also usually happy to buy the food and clear up afterwards. Costs are typically between about 15 euros per hour. Maid service is usually available for about 15 euros per hour. Contact Oliver's VIP Concierge Team to arrange any of these services.

We all enjoyed staying at the Chateau Elegante. There were no adverse surprises and everything was laid on as described. Our family especially enjoyed the pool. The beds were comfortable and the owner was very helpful when we arrived. They could not have done any better!
