St Lucia is located midway down the Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St. Vincent, and north of Barbados. St. Lucia is only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide. The Atlantic Ocean meets its eastern shore, while the beaches of the west coast owe their beauty to the calm Caribbean Sea.

Saint Lucia is the ideal destination for adults and children alike. Whether you are searching for romance, adventure, or rejuvenation from the stresses and strains of everyday life, St Lucia promises all those and the holiday of a lifetime, offering something for everyone.

Underneath the glorious Carribean sun, St Lucia has a genuine natural landscape of palm fringed beaches, miles of unspoilt rainforest and the breathtaking Piton mountains.

For children (as well as those young at heart and mind!) there are water parks throughout the island and ATV adventures and rainforest zip lining are family favourites. Many of the island's resorts offer children's activities so parents can enjoy a cocktail or couples massage whilst knowing that the kids are safe and enjoying their ultimate childhood holiday.

St Lucia is also a romantic paradise for couples; bask together under the Carribean Sun, sail into a champagne sunset and relax under the vast starry sky.

For all those who travel to this island, tropical weather, glorious weather and the holiday of a lifetime truly does await.

About the Island & Getting There

About St Lucia

The Land, The People, The Light – St Lucia’s motto couldn’t be more representative of this captivating sovereign island nation. Witness dazzling scenery, be spellbound by the fascinating locals and allow for St Lucia to brighten your day and show you a new way to life.

St Lucia gained its independence from the British Commonwealth in 1979 and after centuries of a French presence, which is most visible today in the original Capital of Soufrière, St Lucia is famous for its Pitons & landscapes and vivacious community.

St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.

Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).

Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!

We have selected some of the most exciting villas on the island, so browse through these dreamy holiday homes and have a look at our cheeky little guide to St Lucia!

Prior to Booking

Please be aware that St Lucia is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. This tropical rainforest climate results in the island experiencing a hurricane season, which usually occurs between June to November. When thinking about booking your holiday to St Lucia, please consult Foreign travel advice for more information.

Reviews

  • I would revisit and recommend this place

    Posted by Thomas on 21/11/2018

I spent 5 days or so at the villa with my friends. The bedrooms were great and we especially appreciated the fact that each room had it's own bathroom. The bathroom in the bedroom by the pool wasn't as grand as the others, but was sufficient. Although there's the option to have the cook make dishes we also cooked and the kitchen and appliances all worked well. It was great having a laundry room also so that we can clean our clothes after all the time in the beach we spent. Both the guest relations officer and the housekeeper were very pleasant and helped us with any issues we had from getting massages to fresh fish. The best part of our stay was the lovely constant cool breeze we got in the house.

  • Villa Paradisso was excellent

    Posted by Ian on 21/11/2018

We had a lovely relaxing holiday in St Lucia with some much needed winter sunshine. The accommodation at villa Paradisso was excellent, a really lovely villa that is equipped and furnished beautifully. Location was great for beaches, restaurants and golf, only drawback is that it is a bit windy on the back terrace which loses the sun in the afternoon. Highlights of the holiday for us were a trip to the Pitons and a late lunch on the terrace at Ladera, absolutely beautiful. Also snorkling and luch at Smugglers cove beach below Cap Maison at The Naked Fisherman was lovely. We were very well looked after by Alena at the villa and her cooking of local dishes for us was excellent and perfect after a day on the golf course. All in all would highly recommend both the island and the villa.

  • Couldn't be happier!

    Posted by Ted on 14/05/2016

Everything about our stay in Villa Paradisso was wonderful. The house is clean, spacious, and beautiful. The pool, patio, and deck were great places to spend time with our family and friends. The bedrooms were comfortable and the air conditioning worked great. The housekeeper, Elena, was lovely! She cooked us breakfast, answered our questions about the island, and made sure we enjoyed our visit.
