Overview of Le Chateau Normandie

What Oliver loves…

  • The enclosed garden and pond are very relaxing, and don't forget to use the chateau's rowing boat!
  • The Chateau is only a few minutes from Omaha Beach Golf - it's the perfect place to improve your swing during your vacation.
  • The Chateau is only 10mins drive from the D-Day landing beaches.

What you should know…

  • This chateau does not have a permanent swimming pool - please enquire before booking!
  • Add the chateau's location to your GPS to avoid getting lost.

The recently refurbished chateau is well situated in a calm and rural setting, less than 10km from the Landing beaches and a few minutes from Omaha Beach Golf. Chateau Normandie offers the perfect opportunity to relax and discover Normandy's treasures.

Situated in Normandy, in the Calvados region, on the edge of the Natural Park of Cotentin and Bessin Marshes, Le Chateau Normandie was built in the 15th century and has belonged to the same family since 1650.

This impressive and tastefully restored Henri IV Château is set in 6 acres of grounds with vast open spaces in a quiet environment just a few minutes from the sandy beaches of Normandy. The two remaining wings of this ancient fortress open out onto a landscaped garden which in turn extends onto open fields. An enclosed garden to the side of the château offers quiet shady areas, an attractive vegetable patch, a small decorative pond, a full size bocci court, and part of the original moat where boating is possible (small rowing boat supplied).

The accommodation is best suited to groups of adults and children as the property is made of 6 bedrooms in total (4 in the main le Château and 2 separate self catering apartments, la Pommeraie and le Loft) with 5 double beds and 8 single beds (4 of them situated in the apartments’ living rooms).

At only 2 1/2 hours from Paris and 20 minutes from the medieval town of Bayeux, half way between Deauville and Le Mont Saint Michel, Le Chateau Normandie offers the perfect opportunity to discover Normandy's treasures.
