Overview
Stay in grandeur and elegance on the French Riviera at this magnificent maison just a few steps from the beach and close to the upmarket seaside resort of Saint-Raphaël.
This prestigious villa dates back to the early 1900s and still today remains of great historic importance. It has recently undergone a remarkable renovation using the very finest materials such as beautiful granite flooring as well as the grand marble staircase. Individually controlled air-conditioning has been added throughout, a sauna and gym can be found on the lower ground floor whilst a lift gives access to every level.
Indeed, when you step into the spacious living and dining room you will immediately sense the splendour of this majestic villa with its refined furnishings, impressive chandeliers and arched windows leading out to the elegant terrace, a perfect spot for the croissants and coffee delivered each morning.
The master bedroom is another example of the home’s opulent style with the most wonderful sea view and luxurious bathroom. Four further comfortable double bedrooms can be found across the top two floors whilst a separate annexe, formerly an artist’s studio, provides space for an extra two guests.
Outside, the ambience is just as glorious with superb gardens featuring a 16m long swimming pool as well as gigantic pines and palm trees. Stroll down the paths to the very end where there is your very own private exit straight on to the promenade and beach – within seconds you can be swimming in the crystal-clear Mediterranean.
There are restaurants, a bakery and supermarket within walking distance as well as a wealth of other beautiful beaches nearby, or head to the heart of Saint-Raphaël, around 4km away, to experience its delightful seaside ambience, restaurants and shops. A little further, the historic quarter of Fréjus is just as lovely with its churches, markets and fascinating history or head down to the main beach, Plage de Fréjus, for watersports and summer fun.
A boat will whisk you away to Saint-Tropez from the port in Saint-Raphaël or perhaps you would prefer to discover the coastline on foot with some stunning walking trails both nearby and a little further in the Massif d’Esterel towards Agay and Théoule-sur-Mer.
Not to mention the glamour of Cannes, the allure of Antibes or even the glitz of Monaco for a truly spectacular day out. Wherever you may decide to explore, the glistening Côte d'Azur awaits you with all its beauty, splendour and charm.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa BizetRight on the French Riviera, with direct access to the beach, Villa Bizet enjoys a privileged location close to the characterful seaside resort of Saint-Raphaël.
Simply walk to the end of the beautiful garden and there is discreet access straight on to a lovely beach - a very pretty stretch of sandy coastline with a beachside restaurant. It’s a nice spot for swimming or snorkelling – take your jelly shoes to step over the rocks into the glistening Mediterranean.
Just off the coastal road, there are other restaurants dotted around the neighbourhood as well as a boulangerie and supermarket within a 10-minute stroll. Otherwise, the heart of Saint-Raphaël is less than a 10-minute drive away. There are many pretty beaches within walking distance or a short drive, some with summer restaurants or cafes, others quieter but perfect for snorkelling especially around some of the rocky coves. Along this part of the Saint-Raphaël coastline there are also some wonderful walks.
Saint-Raphaël (4km) is a lovely spot for lunch in one of the many restaurants with picturesque terraces, or simply wander around the handsome town and marina, soaking up the seaside vibe. Take the kids to the playground at Jardin Bonaparte, perhaps followed by some time on the town’s main beach. Just a little further, Plage de Fréjus is also a fantastic place with a great atmosphere and lots of beachside cafes serving all sorts of delights. Look out for a great range of watersports in the summer season.
As well as being home to Roman remains and a beautiful 12th century cathedral, the historic part of Fréjus (7km) also hosts a number of markets. Experience the lively Farmer’s market in the heart of the medieval quarter twice weekly or head to the market by the beach on a Sunday morning. In the height of the summer, vibrant night markets also take place by the beach.
Take a boat trip out to Saint-Tropez from mid-April to late-October, a fantastic way to visit this glitzy yet enchanting town (or it’s about an hour in the car). Other superb boat trips include sight-seeing excursions to the spectacular Calanques de l'Estérel or even further to Île Sainte-Marguerite near Cannes.
Cannes is another great day out, just a 45-minute drive away (or longer if you opt for the coastal road) or spend time discovering the charm of Antibes, just a little further, with its enchanting old town, Picasso museum and lovely beaches, especially around Juan-les-Pins.
The nearby Massif d’Esterel is a spectacular place for hiking and mountain biking whether heading inland to paths near mountain villages or discovering trails near the coast, especially around the beautiful resort of Agay, just 6km away. The views from the coastal road are magnificent – continue as far as the cliff-backed beaches at Théoule-sur-Mer (25km) for more stunning scenery.

There is a great family vibe during the day and it’s a fantastic place to spend a day by the beach with its cafes and kiosks for snacks and ice-creams.
