- The sun here is powerful so do make sure you remain hydrated, drink bottled water rather than tap, use sunscreen and wear sunglasses. Try to avoid the dead heat of the day where possible
- La Romana is one of the most visited parts of the Dominican Republic. Even so, it retains a very relaxed, calm and otherworldly feel
