- Mosquitoes are no stranger to the area. Make sure you protect yourself with deet spray and wear long clothes in light colours
- Make sure you don’t drink the tap water, even if to brush your teeth! You might find yourself feeling unwell. There’s plenty of bottled water to drink instead
- La Romana is one of the most visited parts of the Dominican Republic. Even so, it retains a very relaxed, calm and otherworldly feel
