A charming and rustic villa located in Pollensa, Finca Arbrocar places guests in a majestic wonderland that they can explore as they please. The exterior of this property is characterised by a considerable swimming pool that is based in the centre of the grounds. Opposite this beautiful pool is an expansive lawn area that has been lined with expertly manicured grass. As such, guests can either sunbathe on the delightful grass or cool off in the soothing water of the pool. The garden is also filled with an assortment of looming trees, helping to offer essential shade from the blazing sun. There is also a collection of outdoor terraces available, meaning that guests can enjoy a refreshing glass of wine as they gaze out at the tremendous scenery that sits close by.

Inside, this property expresses a range of homely and traditional motifs. The living area includes a pair of plump and comfortable sofas, allowing guests to kick back and relax in this truly divine space. In addition, the bright white walls help to balance out the dark tiles seen on the floor, giving a sense of cohesion and style throughout the space. The dining area also follows a similar theme, making use of a broad wooden table and matching chairs. In turn, guests are free to enjoy their daily meals in this deeply attractive space. The kitchen within this property is a lot brighter than the previous rooms, as seen by the array of white cupboards and walls. There is also a unique breakfast bar that guests can use as part of their morning routine.

Travelling upstairs, this is where you’ll uncover Finca Arbocar’s three spectacular bedrooms. The first two bedrooms contain a pair of single beds that can be customised to create a full double bed. As such, these spaces are perfect for small children or for couples who prefer to sleep apart. The third bedroom is the master bedroom due to the spacious double bed that sits in the middle of the room. The bed is fitted with ample linens to ensure that guests can gain a tranquil and restful night’s sleep throughout their stay.

Finca Arbocar is based in the idyllic region of Pollensa, a place that expresses a keen sense of vitality and excitement. One of Pollensa’s most significant attractions is Formentor Lighthouse, which can be found just under an hour away from the town centre. This monumental landmark was first constructed in 1863 and was used to warn small fishing boats of the jagged structures that lie at the base of the shore. To this day, the lighthouse is used to keep the fishermen and the citizens of Pollensa safe and protected. This lighthouse is also considered to be a muse for some of Europe’s most prolific artists, such as Gerardo Diego and Blas de Otero. Guests are encouraged to take the short drive toward the 210-metre peak and bask in an assortment of panoramic views.

If you are looking to learn more about the vibrant and warming cultures that are seen throughout this region, a trip to Pollensa Market is a perfect way to do so. This expressive market boasts over 300 stalls, selling a variety of clothes, bags, and other artisan craft items. Thus, guests can meander through the vendors at their own pace, purchasing a range of authentic and traditional souvenirs to remind them of their wonderful trip. There is also a section dedicated to fresh produce, meaning that guests can pick up a few unusual ingredients to use in their own cooking back at Finca Arbrocar. Pollensa Market is just a stone’s throw away from the town centre and occurs every Wednesday from 8 am till 1:30 pm.

Placa de l’Almoina is a small but mighty square that can also be found just a short walk away from the town centre. Within this square is an old house that was once used to care for and protect some of the region’s poorest citizens. This house was run by wealthy university students who used their own money to provide essential wheat and funds to the town’s peasant population. In addition, this square was also the host of an archaic battle between the citizens of Pollensa and violent ambushers who decided to attack the town. In order to celebrate the bravery of these ordinary citizens, the modern-day population holds a moving ceremony every August.

THE REGION

Pollensa, in the north of the island, is an ancient town of attractive narrow streets and an impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, and is just a few kilometres from Port de Pollensa.

The town has several places of interest to visit, including the Roman bridge, signposted ‘Pont Roma’, which is still in use, and the Puig de Pollensa – a small mountain topped by a monastery just outside the town. Here we provide all the information you want to know to make the most of this relaxed yet culturally satisfying inland town.

Pollensa is filled with enticing and fascinating tourist attractions, making it an ideal place to visit if you are travelling with children. The Pollensa Museum is a deeply interesting attraction that showcases the rich art history that this region has to offer. This establishment was first built in the 16th century and was originally used to store a wide variety of Gothic altarpieces. Over time, these pieces gained a large amount of attention, particularly during the 1960s. During this time, the museum was commended at the prestigious Summer Exhibition of Painting. Despite such acclaim, the museum was not officially founded until 1975. Nowadays, the Pollensa Museum welcomes an abundance of guests, allowing them to marvel at a range of Buddhist mandalas as well as the works of Atilio Boveri. The Pollensa Museum is just a short walk away from the town centre and is open every weekday from 10 am till 2 pm. The museum is also free to enter for all guests.

If you are looking to explore the wide array of horticulture found in this region, a trip to Joan March Gardens is a real treat. This impeccable landmark was first founded in the late 1980s as a way to celebrate the life and work of the eldest son of the March Family. This group was very influential within Pollensa as their intuitive business ventures helped to spur the region into a prosperous economic boom. Guests can explore these grounds at their own pace and get up close to a collection of rare olive trees and botanical plants. There is also a selection of slender cypress trees, which can be seen on the town’s traditional coat of arms. Joan March Gardens are less than 10-minutes away and are open 24 hours a day.

La Fira is an annual community event that has been occurring in this region since 1784. This intuitive festival celebrates the nuances of the past, transforming this small town into a quaint craft fair. As such, guests can purchase a range of handmade woven items to help them learn more about this town’s impactful history. La Fira takes place on the fourth Sunday after Saint Lucas, which is usually the second Sunday in November. These amazing events take place just outside of Saint Domingo’s Cloister, which is just over 5-minutes away from the town centre.
